Hey guys,
I want to unroot my N7 with TWRP recovery installed but when I go onto toolkit to restore stock recovery it just gets stuck on rebooting device into bootloader. I need to do this before unroot
Edit: I just went onto to goo manager and clicked boot into recovery and it showed an android with the chest open on a red explanation mark??
Anyone?
I have the exact same problem I have to rma my nexus 7 but can't get stock recovery to come back .
Stock ROM is on perfectly just the recovery wont work I'm afraid warranty will get void
Does anyone know the answer to our problem
Before I send my nexus 7 back

Have you tried reflashing stock?

If you have an OTG cable and a USB key you should be able to make ROMs or other backups which you preserved OFF THE TABLET available to TWRP.
If not, take the above poster's advice and install pure stock to copy stuff (ROMs, recovery images, etc) back on to the tab via MTP.
I too blew away all of /data once with that "format data" button in the touch version of TWRP; I feel your pain.
Um.....I may have made a mistake and swiped on all the clear screens...including internal memory...so...T_T Am i screwed???

You're not really screwed, you should be able to flash another ROM from recovery.
As long as you can get into fastboot, you'll be fine. The easiest way is to download and install Nexus Root Toolkit, then use the "back to stock" part to flash the factory image following the instruction.
I have got something even worse
My nexus 7 tab started freezing during use and then after booting in safe mode and wiping cache in recovery mode it now doesn't even go past the google screen. I haven't even flashed anything to it at all and it's showing these crazy symptoms (The bootloader is still locked and the device is not even rooted). I still have access to the adb sideload mode and fastboot but I am confused af as to what has happened
Any ideas guys?
I need some help here. My wife excepted an update the other day on her AT&T LG G2 and now it is stuck in clockworkmod recovery v6.0.4.4. I can not get it to go into download mode or anything else other that recovery. There is no back up on the phone that I can re install. I can how ever issue command through adb. Can someone tell me how to use adb or cwm to re install the factory software or possibly a rom to get this phone back up and running for her?
What would be the best way to get it stock? I have searched the forums for an answer but nothing specifically for the LG G2 with this problem comes up.

Hello
Hi, Has anyone tried this yet? I been stuck for about 3 days at the recovery screen from an OTA. I kept trying to flash and flash roms and still nothing. I finally just tried to figure this out so I cleared cache and everything but not my sd. I was able to push a stock kitkat rom and installed everything necessary still stuck at the recovery So I enabled mount and put in the commands and now im Stuck at the LG splash screen, been on it for about 7 min. Wondering if I should still wait or what should I do? Thanks.
Hey guys ! I wanted to know if you had any ideas or solutions for my issue. I had previously rooted my Nexus and I wanted to flash a new ROM. I downloaded clockwork recovery touch and I downloaded the ROM I wanted, plus the gapps. When I went to flash the new ROM the gapps zip wasn't installed. When the phone booted I tried to download a play store apk but it wouldn't open. When I tried to go back to stock my phone was caught in a bootloop. I managed to get it back to stock but I don't know how to root it again without my power button. Any help would be appreciated
So you can't get into the bootloader and recovery? That's going to be a problem

Exactly how is the volume rocker broken? Snapped in two or what?

You can use adb commands when phone is booted to put it in fastboot, then flash a touch recovery. Bear in mind if you ever softbrick your phone you're gonna struggle to restore it.
HI all,
I flashed CWM recovery to my Tegra Note 7 tablet and it's upside down. Is there a way to invert it right side up or is there an updated version that fixes that issue?
On a side note: I'm new to development, but I would like to learn how to pull the bootloader from the device and edit it so that the red warning is removed and the device can be sent back under warranty if needed. Does anyone know which partition the bootloader is located in?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
You are just holding the tablet the wrong way around
but no, no fix yet. its normal.
I would recommend not even touching the boot loader. Changing any code in the boot loader can lead to the device not even turning on. I don't think even apx mode can save you if the boot loader is messed up.

Heh, too late! Already installed the CWM recovery, but I can restore the original recovery quite easily though. The bigger question is whether I can keep root with a stock recovery. Then again I might as well as go ahead and find out in the morning.
EDIT: I flashed stock recovery back and root still works. Can also boot into stock recovery without a problem.
I recently purchased a lg g2, the korean variant f320s, it was running kitkat with a lot of bloatware on top. I successfully rooted the phone and after that i found a cwm recovery installer for this version of the phone and i hooked up the phone and ran the installer on my pc, it finished installing and the phone rebooted into the custom recovery which was in chinese i went into a menu option and then pressed the back button on the screen and the phone instantly rebooted and got stuck at lg boot logo. Is there anyway to fix this? i have tried wiping cache, dalvik and factory reset from the recovery that i can access(chinese or something) but to no avail. I can access the download mode but my pc does'nt recognize the phone and this step is crucial for i guess installing the stock rom through lg flash tools. The phone however is recognized when im in recovery and i plug it in but it only shows as a drive that is faded out and entering it shows nothing. please help me i just got it two days ago
Have you tried to use adb to sideload a rom?

Yeah you just need to flash a different rom through the sd card i tried cloudy rom but it didnt work then a i tried Lamhoang rom and it did the trick im on jellybean now though and i'll try flashing something else in a month or so
ALL FIXED
You are a legend!! Device back up and running.
Okay so I installed that same rom you did but the home/back/menu buttons weren't working so not wanting to muck around, I did some quick searching (which I should have done before >.<) and worked out how to get the Cloudy roms working on a korean device.
You need "Philz cloudy f320 recovery", the kitkat baseband and the rom. LINK
1 - Install the new recovery from zip and then boot back into recovery after this. You will now be greeted with philz recovery which is awesome.
2 - From here, proceed to install the rom as noted on the rom page.
This process worked for me for the Cloudy G3 V1.3 rom.
Thanks a lot for your help!! happy to return the favour! But i am hoping the above info already does that. :victory:

Good to know you got it working again i still cant figure out why this problem occurred in the first place why did the phone brick from the recovery when the recovery was working fiblne after? Also i can just get the new recovery over the one already on the phone without removing the previous one right? Thanks for the info im gonna try out the cloudy roms soon
I have no idea.. something to do with that chinese recovery I am guessing.. There are still a few issues I am going to address but for now my phone is 95% working.
The only issue is that if I try go into download mode, it still doesn't go to the second screen (All i get is the small blue dots). Bit of a pain because that's something nice to fall back on if you ever need to.
I'll search around and try and figure these out in the next week or two, but I am happy with what I have for the moment.
Yep, you literally install the new recovery over your current one and then you can restart phone back into your rom and then reboot back into recovery using an app or the button method.
