I'm wondering if there's a way to use the internal memory of my HD2 as the /sdcard insead of the external sd card.
I seem to remember that this was the default for an old CM 7 (RC?) build, where I recall not using an SD card at all, but this seems to have changed since I flashed CM9.

hi, how can i tell if all my apps is installed on phone's internal storage or the external storage card? I have 2 GB card, and wish to upgrade to 8GB one.
I am using Wildfire, with Android 2.1 official ROM release
thanx
If you are using a official stock rom, they will be installed to the phones memory. They will only go onto the sdcard if you are using a custom rom like wildpuzzle which has apps2sd activated.
and when you do have wildpuzzle with app2sd, you can tell they're installed on sd by looking at your phone memory , i have about 130ish mb phone memory instead of like 20 before xD. umm and they are installed auto to your sd card i believe, i think you have to check the sd-ext folder or something.
hi
i have installed NexusHD2 froyo nand rom, but i am running out of storage, so i can't install more apps. How can i install the rom with more internal storage. ?
Well you can install App2SD from the market and move some of the apps/data to your SD card.
Alternativley you may be able to mod your rom in some way to use App2SD+ which means that apps/data is automatically moved to a partition on your SD card.
Or if you can enable Data2SD you can use the same partition as a extension to you internal memory which is much better.
but i have tried to move nearly all apps to the sd card but still i only have 30 mb left

I started to play around with the sdrom today but when i try to download app/take a photo.
No sdcard is found. Do i need to set up a ext3orext4 on the sd card?? Would the rom just find the ext3orext4 dir?? Whats the best method
You just need to have your SD card partitioned for WP7 and Android. Since the ROM is running off the SD card, I'd assume it should regconize it right away. Try a reboot if you haven't, or mounting SD card in settings if it shows it as being there, but not mounted [ I doubt it, but it's worth looking at].
Its strange, in storage under SD CARD it says 'insert an SD card for mounting'
WHEN, its got to be inserted, as the ROM is running on the SD Card partition. It shows over a 1GB of space in internal storage? Think i will try a fresh install of the Android ROM. WP7 is running fine.

Going to install a cwm partition which matches rom, i think this will fix the issue.

I don't know why you are getting issues with photos and stuff, but your SD ROM is running fine. Android SD cannot mount the SD card as Android is running off the SD card. The 1gb internal storage is the data.img file in the 'Android' folder which is read as your internal storage by Android. I wouldn't mess around with CWM, it won't solve anything for SD Android and may result in you deleting WP7 if I'm not mistaken (but if you already have CWM installed then I am very much mistaken)
Not sure if it helps, but did you set both WP7 and Fat32 partitions as "Primary" when you set up the card? (use minitool partition magic)
I thought that stock tom didnt have problems with it. But all i see is one mounted sdcard dir... the external one. Storage settings do show the 2 gb internal but i cant find where its mounted.
/mnt/sdcard1
On aurora
On official gb hwuserdata
So there it hides then
Hi guys, i got a problem mounting the microsd on my hd2.
I've seen that the problem is in every rom.
Well.. every android rom tested seem to no recognize the sd... only a Gb of internal storage is founded... but if i open a file manager i can see the sd folder and navigate inside it...
I got an hd2 with android on sd and wp7 nand... and i already tested doing privilege fix... but nothing change.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
You have WP7, which uses part of your SD card as internal storage. Mount it on a computer and use a partition tool. Do you see the rest of the SD card?

OK not to cause confusion here but I think both of the above are slightly wrong. The reason you get 1GB of 'internal' storage on SD ROMs in general is because it uses a file called a data.img which is read by Android as internal storage. You will be able to use a file manager to access the SD card and you'll see all of the music etc which is on your SD card but if you try moving an app to your SD it won't work anymore.
However, I haven't used SD Android in a long time so perhaps wis or hengsheng are right
^He is correct. Internal storage is data.img, and it's usually set to 1GB of size. Your SD card has nothing to do with your internal storage when talking about SD-Android. However, I think you can download another one with a larger size, or just set it to a larger size in the boot up script.
(Either way, make a backup, because I don't think you can "enlarge" a data.img neither can you migrate apps/data from one to another.)
