Home button - Galaxy S III General (US Carriers)

found this really cool app in the market called Button Savior. I have been really use to the all soft keys on the HTC EVO that having to press the home button kinda bothered me a bit. This app let's you place a little like widget anywhere on your screen around the edge somewhere. It has multi functions but it is great to use to get back to the home screen without having to push the stock home button. I like it and you guys may too.....
Here is a screen shot if you look closely you can see at the right edge of the screen across from the Pandora widget.

Click to collapse
Not exactly restoring to default, depends on you
Open the App tray,
Press menu key
Select edit
Now you can drag icons in and out of the Home Screen Buttons Tray.
Put the ones you want
By default, <phone, Contacts, S-Note, Messaging, and the menu (which you can't change)>
fo finish, just press back.

Into the home button?
Just curious. Cos it would be darn cool and convenient to have that.

This isn't exactly what you're asking for, but I saw this story in my Reader feed the other day and your post reminded me of it. Seems like a similar idea, so it might be worth a shot?

I saw this too! It works buts isn't that elegant eh? That's why I was asking about the slider shortcuts. I figured since it can be done to the lock screen, it should be quite possible to do it to the home button too. Thanks though.

Button under Volume down?

I did a quick search but couldn't find anything, but once the back of the tablet is off there is another button below volume down, pressing it did nothing once the tablet was on or if I booted up holding it .. what's it for?
Edit; if a photo makes more sense

You didn't do a very good job of searching...I've seen numerous threads on the same subject.

there anyway to clear all the recent apps from the recent apps list at once instead of swiping each 1 away individually?

Some roms like AOKP and CNA have the option to use a "kill all" button, which goes on the bottom left of the multitasking screen and kills all the apps, removing them from there

Question about replacement power button

Is this the same thing as the power button for the a500. While repairing mine I broke it.
