Okay I can't remember where I read this or know if it's true or not so ill ask you guys. I read that if you perform a factory reset on your nexus 7 and then sign in with a different Google account than the first time, you would receive $25 on that account also. Is this true? Would Google really let something like this happen?

Did anyone else have an eager household member load their google account on to your new N7 before you could? I did, and now the $25 credit is in their account. Anyone know how to change? It's damn near impossible to reach Google Play on the phone today.
its not possible sorry
May I ask how you know this?

just make them give you 25/35 bucks depending if they got the wallet credit too.

Factory Reset your Nexus 7.
When it boots up and starts the wizard, log in using YOUR gmail.
You will receive the $25 credit.
Do this now before they close the loop hole.
You're welcome, now go tell whoever "beat you to it" to don't touch your ****.
If I sign in with a different gmail account on a new nexus 7, will it give that account the $25 too. But then I want to put back on my other gmail. Will that be a problem, or will I get another $25 credit?

I just set up my replacement tablet. I did not receive an additional credit. However, you can still get the $10 Google Wallet App credit.

Yes, if your initial sign in is under a different account than you used before you will get another $25.

You can't move credit from 1 account to another. Also you can't get an additional $25 credit on the same account. You would need to use a different account.

Did you login in your replacement device with the same account as in your previous device or a different account ??
Yes I returned my N7 as the speaker was distorted and got a replacement, I setup using my wife's gmail and got another £15 credit. I don't think you can get two credit from the same account.
Just wondering if I bought a new Nexus 7 and signed in with the Google account I have done on my current one, will I got more credit? Or should I just use my secondary Google account?
Thanks

If you use the same gmail account, no.
If you use a different one, then yeah

Yep. Credit is 1 per gmail account
So, on a related note, here's what I'm trying to figure out... Let's say you bought a Nexus 7 from Google Play, received and used some of the credit, and then return the tablet. Presumably, the credit is rescinded. But, suppose you've subsequently purchased a replacement Nexus 7. Is the credit reissued?
I'm in precisely this situation, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Google does. I have a feeling I'll end up losing the credit...
The credit is not rescinded as far as I know. I think I remember reading about this somewhere else.

It is only 1 credit per account. I bought 2 N7's, but was only allowed 1 $25 credit.
You would need 2 accounts and 2 credit cards

Hi,
A general question for anyone who's bought a "used" Nexus 7...when you set up your google account did you get your $25 Play Store credit? I bought my N7 off of e-bay (in perfect condition!) ..didn't get the movie or book which doesn't bug me but it doesn't look like I got the Play Store credit...just checking to see what everyone else's experiences were...
Thanks

I bought a brand new n7 from the play store and activated it with my Google account to get the $25 credit and the movie then I did a factory reset on my n7 and reactivated it with my brothers account so he could get the goodies. It should work for u. Did u do a factory reset?

If the original owner got the credit, do you feel you should get the credit also? Do you think Google should pay $25 every time a Nexus 7 changes hands?

They fixed that bug. You only get the stuff once per device for the first activation.
