Has anyone experienced this? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I usually like everyone else charge my device overnight. For the past few days whenever I try to unlock it, its like the device has been turned off. Should I return mine to Sam's for a replacement?

I put the Nexus 7 on the charger, sleep, and when I wake up and try to use it, I have to turn it back on.

It's a software problem. And yes, you should return it.

Please help with battery

This is really strange
When I charge my phone and it reaches 100 I disconnect and start using it but when it reached 50 or 35%+- it shuts off??? And doesn't start without the charger connected and when I turn on the phone the battery is 0% and I am rooted on paranoid ROM using Franco latest stable kernel and already tried deleting battery stats file..any suggestions plzz?

Okay so it turns out the battery isn't empty because when the phone is off I can still turn it on but once it boots up it shows 0 battery and shuts off but I can enter recovery and I actually made 6 backups to drain the battery and it worked now am charging the phone and when it reaches 100 I will delete battery stats wish me luck

Never do that, either use a USB port on a PC or use the Nexus 4 plug.
You can get the battery out by opening the back by undoing the screws on the bottom of the device.

Yes

But this happened before the root as well. And I've seen it work on rooted devices. But if it comes to that I'll unroot
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Yeah, it probably will. I'm just wondering if my hardware and if I can fix it and if it will affect anything else. It just randomly happened.

After the update, nexus 7 screen stuck on the "X" logo.

Mine did the same thing. So I just factory reset it and it works great.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I guess my question was did it bootloop after you flashed it but before you got to the home screen?
Or did you update fine, and found it bootlooped the next day or something?
