ICS 4.0.4 - Blade General

Hi people.
Is there any stable ICS ROM to use every day?
Ty.

No, use gb instead. All 4.0+ roms will never be fully working/stable for the blade

Why are u saying that? I have a friend with XColdFusionX or something like that, and the rom is amazing... super fast, more than CM7.2

Unless a miracle will happen (read: An ARMv6 device with ICS will be released somewhere) no.
Without OpenMAX (Video hw decoding library) we won't have an official CM9/10. Qualcomm already said no to a free build from them, so we only have to hope in some chinese low-budget ICS phone (all US/EUR phone coming up are 2.3-based or ARMv7), and that won't happen soon I think.
For stabilty/speed question, CFX/KonstaKANG/AOKPRemix have the same bug (No WiFi tether unless you use an external app, no HW decoding for H.264/XviD/DivX video (H.264 are really unplayable... less than 10fps, but XviD/DivX are fine too with software decoding), no Panorama in camera, Youtube HQ/LQ is laggy (related to the HW video decoding issue) and only works if used with 3G (I'm not sure if this one is a common issue or only a KonstaKANG one)), so if you can live with this bug, go and flash ICS. Speed is very similar between CM7 and ICS (but slower than Swedish Snow IMHO).

Op, meet the Blade ICS expert

The thing is that ics have better animations speed (thx hardware acceleration) but when you launch app or use multitasking, its very slow
Envoyé depuis mon Blade avec Tapatalk

Hmm.. i think it's only your blade issue because on my blade is app openning faster on ICS. Also i can live with little bugs. Have CFX from 31.5 still running on my Blade and i still like it

ICS is still in beta. I personally do not believe ICS will EVERY be fully developed for our HD2's. The drivers that are open source are too new for our 2 year old devices. If you want ICS you will just have to deal with the poor quality.
@djsolidsnake86: search for hardware acceleration or hwa.
Its what so many people are waiting for :banghead:

Some of 4.0.3 bugs are actually 4.0.3 bugs, not Samsung's fault.
They are fixed on 4.0.4. Remember, I said some. The rest of the big bugs are Samsung's fault.
hopefully there's a leak soon... need the broken 4.0.3 activesync working again!
And i hope for a new camera software that allows you to take pictures while recording videos

Yeah I tried a lot of alternative browsers, and there are some of them that are better than the original, but still no comparison with GB stock! I mean, ICS should be better than GB, so I don't understand why they messed up the browser! It was so amazing in GB!
Anyway, which are the main differences between 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 ??

I REALLY hope for that. But I dont think this function will be ever available via offiacial Samsung FW.
But is it even possible for SGSII? I mean, is the chipset and camera capable of this function?

J is the 10th letter. CM10. That's how ALL cyanogenmod builds are named.
Edit: and jb is 4.1, it's not a new platform, just an "update" you could say so expecting it to look much different is just well stupid.

yeah, i'd be happy to see CM10 on Xperia Play. Google Now will be fun
hi all,
here a few things (didn't test myself, but i heard it from other devs)
it will use less ram
it is VERY smooth (scrolling, everything thanks to butter)
games will probably run better
and more ofcourse
and i thing: maybe sony will give it to us because it is faster it requires less ram (ics= 1024mb jb=512mb like the play has)
and it will be better for gaming!!!!

I am using CM10 (135 than 136 and now since this morning 138). Camera is working now, rom is good but I still have some lags from time to time. Wifi thetering not working but since I am not using it i don't mind. I didn't tested HDMI for the same reason. Overall I miss maybe a better looking interface but I prefer to have a fast responding phone.

ROFL! You're kidding right?
For me it's AOKP, since it is basically CM10 + Magic_elements_of_Roman!
Hi guys,
Performance wise, how do these 2 roms compare to the stock gingerbread one? Is Gingerbread still the fastest and lag free?
Can anyone comment on the wifi reliability of either of these ROMs (or any of the JB kernels if that's more appropriate)? Can it remain on in standby without the phone being wake-locked?
