tun.ko for 2.6.39.4-g9b8008b kernel? - Thinkpad Tablet General

I'm running OTA 3.2 on my US TPT.
Does anyone have the tun.ko module for stock 2.6.39.4-g9b8008b kernel?
Or is there a tun.ko from other ICS ROMS that are compatible with this kernel?

This contains no development, so has no place in the development section. Please post in the correct section!

Thanks for pointing that out.
I saw a thread under the Eee Pad Transfomer Android Development so I thought this might be a good place to ask for the tun.ko modules.

Stock kernel?

I flashed a new rom yesterday with a custom kernel, it is running way warmer than the stock one...
Does anyone have a .zip file for the kernel to flash in recovery?
Please and thank you!
Please post questions in General section.
I'm asking for someone to post the stock kernel, I'm not asking a question. This should be in the Dev thread.

any overclocking zip for 3.1 on CWM?

is there a zip for CWM update on 3.1 roots? like just have the zip in SD and install so i can overclock from setCPU? sorry for wrong section, but i need like 8 more post to post in development.
Flash a new kernel like Tiamat through CWR (found in development section.) And general or Q&A section is for questions, not development section.

As he said, flash the kernel of your choice. Boot image first then select 1.4, 1.5, or 1.6 and this is the correct place to post as this has nothing to do with development.

[Q] Are all Acer Iconia A500 Kernel ROM combos compatible?

Hi,
I am new to Tablets and still learning. Sorry if my questions are n00bish or the answer is someplace else - I did look and had no luck.
Currently: Acer Iconia A500; Kernel 2.6.36.4-thorV3.9r3, Thor Rom V14.2
Works Great! Never tried any of the other ROM's yet.
I want to try different ROMs to see what all the fuss is about and form my own opinions from my own experiences rather then reading posts about what others have read elsewhere.
How do I determine if a ROM will work with a kernel, like Thor for example? Do I need to revert to the stock kernel, or another one?
I am considering Honeylicious and Lightspeed, which are Acer based rather than Asus.
Thanks for your time.

If you're considering Honeylicious as a ROM, there are explicit instructions as to how to do the necessary wipes, formats, etc. after which you can safely flash the ROM, and not have to worry about residuals from another previously installed ROM, or kernel. (there's even a video tutorial in the OP).
As to which kernels work with which ROMs, there are many people running various kernels with various ROMs. Maybe someone else will post their experiences with what they're currently running to help you out with that.

I've been running Civato's Flexspeed/Flexthunder and enjoy every part of it! Smooth, Super Fast and clean! It works amazing with Thor's 3.9r3 kernel.
Civato is on 'hiatus' due to some ungrateful's here, but his work is Amazing as well as Thor's quality work!
Check it out, you'll be a believer in it!

[Q] Kernel with cifs and/or tun support ?

Just as the title says, looking for a kernel built with cifs and tun compiled in. If it doesn't exist, I'm not opposed to trying to compile it myself seeing as how the sources are available. Haven't compiled my own android kernel yet though so while it would be a great learning experience, I'm looking for the fast answer at the moment
Questions go in the Q&A section
Motley kernel in the original development section supports cifs

Where is the best place to ask questions about kernels?

These question are about Nexus 7 tablet kernel.
Hi, I am wanting to build my own kernel but have questions, where would be the correct forum to post these question. They really don't pertain to any particulate kernel.
I am wanting to compile the 4.1 kernel and add low voltage and OC up to 1.5, adding a new governor would be nice but not really needed at this point in development
what files need to be edited?
what changes need to be made?
are all the modification made in mach-tegra?
I have looked at several githubs, they have way more changes then I want, I know there are kernels out there that do what I want, but I would like to learn the build process.
For right now i would like to know what files need to be changed to oc the kernel to 1.5 at a low voltage to conserver battery life. perhaps at some point add smartass governor.
thanks in advice for any help one can provide.
The Q&A forum would seem the most obvious.

That is correct (and to where this thread has been moved to) .
