So with ICS, if you press the power button and the volume down button at the same time, it takes a screenshot. I am wondering if this feature is still in JB?
any other cool features to look forward to?

Just wondered if there are any hacks to wake up the DHD with the volume rocker rather than the power button?
I have the track pad to wake mod on my Desire and this makes things a LOT easier but as there is no track pad and no hardware front buttons on the DHD I wonder if the volume keys can be used instead?
There is a similar thread already a couple of pages back and there's an app to customise the keys to do what you want.
Widgetlocker will also let you select to wake on home button, and I think volume buttons, I think its much better than other lockscreens so worth looking at.
Tasker will also do this on long press of the search button, if thats helpful.
"No Lock" from the Market works (by BoD). Very simple and FREE.
Thanks, I'll see if I can find the other thread and check these out!

Still not got round to looking at Tasker yet but I intend to do so. Given that the DHD 'buttons' are capacitive this will still work?
I think so, but I couldn't say for sure. I have Widgetlocker set to wake on pressing the back key, which is capacitive in my Galaxy S, so I would assume it does.

Sounds highly likely then, thanks!
Hey guys,
I don't have a Note, thus I ask it to you all
Are there buttons beside the Home, Power and Volume keys?
Yes the capacitive ones like on SGS2, to the left there is the menu button and to the right there is the back button.
Search button is missing (long press on menu button instead).

No You have power on the right side, Vol on the leftside down in the middle the home button and 2 softkeys for "back" and "Options" ... nothing more.
I love my Cam Button at the Streak, cause for selfshooting with the main Cam this is nearly required..

So there are softbuttons?
I like it to know because I am figuring out how to port CM7.

Wow another great news.
Given that most of the internal specs match SGSII do u think it will be easier ?
Just realised something pressing down the camera key and home button together when the screen is off activates the camera similar to the Xperia S saving you even more time then having to slide the camera key. Pressing the camera key on its own doesn't, but good to see Sony gave it to arc users
thought I'd share
Does it work on the beta too? I can't try it because my current ROM has camera button for wake enabled...
Via Tapatalk 2.0 on ICS
Fast capture is shooting photo in "blind mode" and you're just turning on camera ; d but still good though.
Thanks for the info! I didn't know that this existed
You don't need to press both buttons together. Just press the home button first to wake device and then press the camera key.

Yes I know, but its quicker to do that then press them separately in two stages and is less like the fast capture on the XS then
I didn't knew that!
Thanks!

It kind of sucks. Solution with holding multitasking button was better, because now you have to press button in the right moment and it takes a while to learn it.

I agree it sucks, I have an otter box on my Galaxy Nexus and its practically impossible to press it in the right spot... Google aggregates me by changing the UI for no reason, the press-and-hold power and tap the screenshot option seemed much easier to me.
Is there a way to change this without a third-party app?
it maybe different with nexus, but I was looking for the same option with my Xperia (have a custom Rom, but standard 4.2 system)
I bypassed the power + volume option, by going to settings/system/power menu, and ticked 'screenshot'
hopefully you have this option in settings too

... It's exactly the same way with stock.
If you really don't know and you've never used screenshot on stock ROM, the button combo is home+power. Hold the home key (not long enough to bring up the recent apps window) and quickly press the power button.
Note that in CM7.2 this combo does not work, rather there is an option in the power menu (when you press and hold the power button to turn it off/reboot).
Next time, use Search or Google.

or use screenshot ultimate from the playstore if you just want an app that can take a screenshot either by touching an overlay button or shaking the phone
