New to the site so apologise if this post is in the wrong area.
I've had my Leo/HD2 since release date and am quite happy with it only one or two things i have an issue with. Is there anything that would be advisable to upgrade on my mobile? Other than the ROMS provided by HTC or should i just stick it out untill WM7 is out?

If you are happy with the device the way it is then don't alter it. Remember the maxim "if it ain't broke don't fix it".
If you have specific problems you want addressing then post the specifics up here so you can get some help.

I read this on sprint community forums. I'm hoping one of you brilliant devs can make something of it? I downloaded it, but am horrified to use it, as the last one (that said, "test" on it) really jacked up my phone good.

From Android Central When it rains, it pours. Just got word of a new leak for the HTC Sprint Hero. No way of knowing if this is the final 2.1 version, but this one is signed with release keys so you will lose your root for sure if you're into that sort of thing. Anyone who feels brave and wants to try for themselves you can find it here. Remember, this is not official software from any carrier. Using this is at your own risk, and nobody here at Android Central is suggesting you try it, though we're more than happy to show you where it is. Hello everyone. I'm new to the SGS2 board on XDA but maybe some of you know me from the HTC Hero board. I hope i'll get my SGS2 soon (3.6.2011!?) but i already started my project.

It was working fine until one of the days it just boom no longer boots into the OS.

you want others to watch videos to solve your problem, is that correct?
If the unit is defective an in warranty, what does the seller suggest?
Apart from taking videos, what have you found and tried so far from reading the forums?
Why do you think posting here to get answers and then disappearing because your cheap Chinese headunit has problems and the seller won't help (because you wanted to save money instead of buying a reputable branded unit despite having zero skills to fix problems) and never to be heard from again after you have your answers, you think treating XDA like paid support is OK?
Did the 4pda guys say the same or perhaps not reply at all?
Curious. Really. I could be wrong. You're not alone. Your response could answer alot of my curiosity, having read so many post in the same way you have.

lol not at all, I have been reading the forms a bunch here & other places. those pics you see should indicate that I opened this unit in hopes of finding some info with no luck for me..
Yes I know how this works it's a community not a charity club, however when your in need your in need it's as simple as that.
I have seen people here providing the needed files & it seems like they are all pointing towards MCU & firmware?? That is needed in order to provide the correct files.. how do you even get to that without entering recovery/OS

I've got 20+ years experience in IT but have never looked at playing with the ROM on a phone. I have a OP5 that I would like to get a "clean" version of android on and have found several posts, blogs and youtube videos but they all seem to be missing some of the fundamentals.
Could someone point me in the right direction for maybe a general "how to put a new ROM on your android device" and / or something more specific to the OP5 if that exists. Happy to watch, read and learn but just not sure where to start.
