Upgrade to Windows 8 Pro at Rs. 1999. See the above link for details.
Seems like a pretty good deal.
Thats a great deal, I'd buy it but I received windows 8 for free as part of my acm membership.
I have a windows 8 key but nowhere to Download it. Anyone have a link for it?

I found out if you go to https://www.windowsupgradeoffer.com/ type in your info and any random PC Make, Model, and purchase date that you can get it for only $15, There is no verification of any kind
it will email you a discount code and you just download the upgrade tool and enter the code and bam Windows 8 Pro for only $15, Also for those of us who would like a physical copy, the Windows 8 Tool will allow you to download the .ISO or make a USB Drive

I would really edit that out since it constitutes fraud. It's not your fault that Microsoft doesn't check (I'm sure there are a ton of technical/legal hoops to jump through to get all of the vendors' customer info), but please don't leave that out in the open.

I think it is highly unlikely that you would get away with that. I am sure they have some mechanism to examine the information we give regarding the purchase. A money hungry company like Microsoft is unlikely to just give away the opportunity for people to rob them blind. Also, it is definitely not legal.

It's legit. Win8 pro is only @5 bucks. Many the sites say that.

But it does help curbing piracy. Also WIN8 will be on more PC's in a very short time.

You thought they were just going to give you another one and let you keep the "broken" one? Think how much money they would lose if they did that.

Use your common sense buddy.
They will be bankrupt if they would allow customer to keep both devices...
Every one would damage their device and ask for replacement.
Oh okay. I worded my post wrong. I read a post here on xda made by a staples worker who said you don't have to... thanks

Just a heads up, any warranty you buy through Staples is an extended warranty...so you'll still have to go through Google/Asus for the first year after purchase. They won't honor it earlier.
You also better make a secure copy of your receipt, you're gonna need it.

Checked my email before work this morning and got the notice from Google that the GE phones have shipped!
To note I chose the 3-5 day free shipping and it's still getting here tomorrow, SWEET!
I ordered my phone on June 26th, 2013 around 1:24 PM EST, with no issues on ordering like the N4 fiasco. Probably due to the price tag.
Attached some pics.. getting excited

Yep, remember unlocking it is as simple as 'fastboot oem unlock' - none of this HTC Dev crap! Then rip everything you can from the phone (boot.img, system, recovery, radio, etc.)
I'll see what I can do. Earliest UPS guy comes is around 12:30 and I'm usually home for lunch, however won't be back from work till around 5.
I'm sure someone will have a dump by then, haha, but if not I should be able to pull the files.
in case you need them, here are the instructions for a FULL dump

I got my shipping notification as well, but it's not scheduled to get to my drop box till Friday...

Got my email that my One GPE shipped yesterday as well. Tracking says it will be delivered to me in NYC on Thursday.
Guys who are getting it. Please go to my thread and follow the instructions to dump all the partitions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2356918
If any of you are in NYC and are a bit confused on how to dump it all after reading the thread and if you're willing to meet up let me know. We can meet up and I can pull all the partitions
Ok just checked tracking # should have it tomorrow by the end of the day .....good job by Google by updating shipping to overnight

Most likely you are receiving it tomorrow because of your proximity to a shipping location. I doubt that they are doing overnight shipping for free.

Yeah here is to wishing they ship with 4.3 lol
The idea here is not for us to be able to run the rom but to fully do a conversion. As of now we have the 4.2.2 rom and boot image. I have two ones and I want to fully convert one to a GE. I know others are interested in performing a full conversion as well. And if we do the full conversion when the 4.3 OTA drops we would get it as an OTA and not have to wait for other devs to package it all up for everyone

So today I called at my local staples , I live o in Montreal and asked them if they had any 2013 nexus 7 in store , they said yes so I went to buy one.
A sales guy told me that if I get a replacement plan, in 1 year I could come back to the store, tell that the item doesn't suits my needs anymore and they would give me a gift card of the value that I paid the tablet.
I was very on my guard and asked the guy many time if it would work, he said yes, and told me that's what he do with his camera , so he get a new one each year.
Finally I paid for the replacement plan and at the cash he gave me the tablet with the warranty info.
Back home was reading the warranty and there no mention of replacement the way he told me.
My question is, have any of v you had any luck with this replacement plan and does it work the way he told me?
If not I will go back to the store to get a refund , i will go back to the store to get a refund.

yeah, that's the question
I think it was close to 75$ with taxes.........
I didn't want to leave the store with $360+ total on my bill and get an answer the next year
Call and ask to talk to the store manager. Get it in writing since it is not there, if they are going to do what you were told.

Use it, you have 14 days to decide if you want to keep it. The clock is ticking! Don't open it like it's a christmas present though!

I did not paid 75 , I paid 35 for the basic coverage but the guy told me about that replacement thing, 75 dollars is when you take the basic coverage plus if you drop it, liquid on it and things like that your covered.
