playback of recorded 1080p video - Galaxy S III General (US Carriers)
Does anybody have problem with playback of the recorded video? Mine is always jerky once in a while (like 5-10 seconds). I verified the recording itself is good since they play flawlessly when uploaded to PC or Google+. It's only the playback that's the problem. These are 1080p video stored on internal SD card. Doesn't GS3 have the horse power to handle 1080p? Or I have a defect internal SD card?
I have the Verizon model.

Yeah I am experiencing the same issue. 1080p video that isn't recorded on the device plays just fine, but the stuff I shot on the camera is laggy upon playback. I have tried using the internal and a external sd card with no luck. I wonder if it is something verizon did... I don't think you have a defect I think its software. maybe video compression issues.

alright just crunched some numbers and I don't think its compression. Movies are 2.1444 mbps and on my 1080p camcorder they are about 4 mbps. This doesn't make any sense. This device should be able to play 1080p videos easy.
I found my videos were much better without auto shake being on.

yeah me too. anti-shake seems to zoom in and make the videos more jerky. To me at least it almost seems like the anti-shake button is reversed.

thanks. but I have the anti-shake off. the problem seems to be playback on the phone only. I have no problem playing the recorded video on PC or YouTube.

Yeah same also having that problem. Anti shake makes it worse.
I have the same issue during playback. It only happens occasionally but is quite annoying.

[Q] Max Video Record Time
Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the max recording time is on the phone? I know with the G1 I was limited to 1 minute videos.

If you want 720p recording, you need to turn it on (factory default is widescreen not 720p)
[Q] Sound crackling and pops when playing youtube videos with youtube app
Hi I am experiencing crackling audio with pops when playing youtube videos using youtube native app on my note 4 exynos n910c . I am not sure if it is a software failure or there is something wrong with my phone. I am testing it with costarica 4k video. Is anybody having sound quality issues with youtube app? Thank you
Try other videos with smaller resolution to make sure that video itself or network speed is not a problem. Does it sound right when playing mp3 files? Sent from my SM-N910T using XDA Free mobile app
It is only in some youtube videos not with mp3s. It is not speed or resolution issue it happens with some of them. The sound is similar as you were plugging a hearphone jack but happens randomly.
same issue N910c I have exact issue ! Found any fixes yet?

not with mine I also get latest lollipop OTA update but it has not been fixed in my phone. It is very annoying I need to use headphones because it is unbearable.
You are right after completely uninstalled it cleaning cache etc the bad sound has dissappeared.
I don't have any issue with youtube yet, do you mind sharing the video and I will test it on my N910C
It is still present. I think it wasn't. I use costarrica 4k video sample in youtube but also when playing Lisa mobiletechreview channel. Try at full audio volume specially noticeable when power cable is connected. It happens randomly not in the same moments. xdm9mm said: I don't have any issue with youtube yet, do you mind sharing the video and I will test it on my N910C Click to expand... Click to collapse

Thank you. So it could be an issue with my unit.
Anyone having issues with video recording? - 1080p60fps Stuttering
I seem to be having issues with video recording and stutter. The settings are 1080p 60fps, being recorded to a SanDisk Extreme Plus 64GB. It's almost as if the phone can't keep up and it makes the end shot look terrible. Not to mention my auto focus is constantly readjusting and out of focus. Anyone else having similar issues and/or know a fix? Here's a quick example (warning a little loud). https://goo.gl/photos/pVwuPXjEDuajhh2u9

Video recording (4k) or possible 1080p lagging randomly while recording?
Hey guys, I wonder if any of you have the same issue as me. I had this new phone, 64GB and while doing some recordings, I noticed there are some random kind of lag in video, no idea how this is actually called in photography vocabulary. I noticed it happens everytime with 4k video, 1080p might happens too. Here are some examples I am talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiSrCWR0p78 Anyone knows if that is a common issue or needs to be rma? It does play like this on the phone, on the computer, etc.. I even tried to remove all the background app and restart the phone. Didn't work.
Horrible video recording issue
Does anyone have any issues recording videos? I'm getting popping sounds occasionally, not all the time at the start of video recording for like a second. I also get frame rate stutter usually at the beginning of video recording. It's most noticeable at 4k and 1080p 60fps. I've tried different U3 micro SD cards, samsung pro and Sandusky extreme pro, and same results. Internal storage too. I can't find a way to reliably record videos. Do I need to factory reset? If so that's major annoying. Wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing something similar. Thanks guys. The issue is also more apparent when there's bad reception as well? It happens in good too but less frequent. Alsmost to the point I'm ready to give up on this phone. Again, doesn't happen consistently but it has to be either hw or sw fault. Most likely sw.
