Multi Boot for the N7? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I was just wondering if the is anyway to multi boot roms on the nexus 7?.
My phone is a Galaxy S2, and I can dual boot 2 different roms with it, so I was just wondering if this will be possible on the nexus 7?.
And has anyone tried the app "bootmanager" from the android market? As that works on lots of other phones
Here is the app I mean
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.drx2.bootmanager
Cheers

The majority of people don't have their devices yet give it some time, and now considering their are not that many roms ans the ones we have are stock based there is no point in running two

UK and US nexus 7's

In the US at the moment but live in the UK. Basically wanting to buy a nexus 7 over here as its cheaper. Is there are difference between the two for say rooting? I know with my galaxy if you flash a kernel for the us version it will brick...is this the same case for the nexus? Benefits/downsides to buying one over here? Thanks

Tell me one. None ICS rom I have heard for Nexus 7.
There were at least one or two xda users that reported purchasing Nexus 7s with an ASUS developer build of ICS instead of the stock Google JB firmware. I don't think any of those users were able to successfully pull the ICS build off the device though.
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1787888
Sorry for my late replying been busy
Now the reason I wanna downgrade is because I have a nyko play pad pro that will not work with my tab Cruz its on jelly bean...so I figured if I can downgrade to ICS I'll be able to use it..

Hey guys

Get the iPhone 5. It's a major update from the 4S. If you are a heavy texter then stick with apple. If you care more for Internet browsing and multimedia then the Samsung Galaxy S2 might be a good fit because of the bigger screen and external SD.
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 32 GB Model
And with s4 is there any version numbers I should be aware of? I do have root experience but I know most of us are like this with a new phone. I also started to do my reading Thanks. Kole

Best ROM for the nexus 4?

I just bought nexus device. My old phone was s3 mini and since I used cyanogenmod whole time I'm asking which ROM based on stock Android is best for it.
Guessing that we have official releases of all Roms because this phone is just awesome it will be harder to choose

Actually Nexus 4 doesn't have more ROMs than Galaxy S3 for instance. Most developers moved to Nexus 5
Haven't tried all of them, but they are all mostly similar in terms of performance, it's the customization that is different in each ROM.
I'm on PA 4+ because it's the closest thing in terms of Stability to STOCK rom
There is no "best" ROM out there. All have there ups and downs. Threads like these are no allowed on XDA

Sprint roms

So any devs working on any roms for our phone? Ive tried all of the others that were made for different providers and unfortunately I cant get data enabled because they dont have apns in their rom version. ;/

No roms for you grasshopper

I think you are going to see a drastic decline in ROM development with all the Xposed apps out there.
Pretty easy to download Xposed and the apps you want. Then do your own mods. Easier to tailor it how you want it. IMO
There is stuff in the works but I need experienced testers for some of these.
One test, which can be done through Odin, I am about to post.
Well that sucks, I personal like finding a rom that has the features and everything. I really hope someone develops a aosp rom.

As garwynn mentioned, work is being done. Just not many hands on deck yet is all. Have some patience, I think this phone will have some great options soon enough.

Device has only been out for a week. Beginning progress always takes a bit to kick in, but I already see some big names in here digging in. The galaxy devices almost always have a strong following. Patience?

New to Sprint, and new to the Galaxy S5. Ready for some flashing though, does anybody know if heimdall works with this device already?

One thing I miss is the dialer from slimroms, being able to search people and business's right from the dialer was nice

Well... finally got mine so been testing furiously. Will keep at it until get where we want.

Once a ROM releases for the s5 I'm gonna transform my s4 into an s5 by porting all the apks over ...or I should say I'm going to try (and fail :/ )
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Use Ex dialer. Has all of that and more
