will upload some pics over the next few days, im thinking of a nice gloss black on the metalic silver back case on my xoom
Spray Paint and electronics are not a good mix. If you insist on doing it make sure you tape off anything you don't want paint in or you could wind up ruining the Xoom.
You Might want to consider trying plasti-dip. It can be pealed off if you don't like it and is easier to apply. If you do a search on YouTube there is a guy that used on "another brand" of tablet, definitely looked cooler than stock and gave some scratch protection.

Yes it does, It's brushed aluminium, although I would have preferred the black back looks a bit rubbish (and ipad like) wit hthe silver.
In a few months you'll be able to buy whatever parts you want on ebay and such, complete with installation kit. Happens for everything.

Such a positive and respectful comment.
Has anyone managed to remove the ugly Cincinnati Bell decal logo off their vibrants? If so, how did you go about doing this?
LOL, I've seen that logo and its substantially more obnoxious than any other logo I've seen. I can't remember exactly but I think its up at the top alot like the T-Mobile logo is just ALOT BIGGER(a pic might help maybe?). If it is then I know the Otter Box case covers up that whole section. It will still be there but at least you won't have to look at it anymore. Good luck!
Hi very likely I will be getting Samsung vibrant what do you think of it

lol, Yup thats what I was thinking. I saw one in person once and that was the first thing I noticed, the gawd awful logo!
- have your tried some sort of paint thinner? maybe goo-gone? be careful tho
- seriously google "samsung vibrant otterbox" images, its a great case and it will cover that area completely.
I removed my CB logo with a razor blade and bit of patience.

Meh. It's harmless, and I've barely noticed it was there since I got my phone a couple months ago.
Why risk possibly damaging the phone or the gorilla glass?

Two reasons - the screen protector bubbles around it and two; everyone and their cousin asks you why there's a sticker on the front of your phone.
A co-worker removed his with his fingernail and a CreditCard.

Comes right off
... if you just use a little bit of isopropanol and a kimwipe (or if you don't have that, try using a non-scratch dish sponge)
Guess what it says underneath?!? T-mobile LOL
If it's just a decal, heat it up a little (leave it on your dash) and see if you can't get it off then. Several years ago I owned a small graphics company and we used this stuff called "Vinyl Up" to remove anything with an adhesive. It's very gentle and doesn't eat paint. That said, it's a little expensive in this context.

This isn't a drop test. He taps the screen with the AC adaptor and flexes the back cover quote rigorously. Still, it bodes well for the GS3 durability-wise.

LOL, my sphincter was going there, but dude needs a better aim
Wow! I cringe every time I see these videos. Bravo to the ones that actually perform these tests. And I agree with that dude with the sledgehammer needing better aim. Now we just need to see someone with the GS3 to do that. I'm curios of how it would hold if it were dropped or thrown in the air, considering the whole front of the device has a thinner version of GG.
I believe these test, while they may be considered wasteful by some, are useful. Its pretty stressful walking around with half a grands worth of phone in your pocket constantly fearing that its gonna get scratched or the screen is gonna get damaged or its gonna slip out your hand in the street or the wind will catch it while you are reading something.
I feel its better to know roughly how well these devices stand up to damage so that we dont need to unduely stress about looking after them. I have enough stress in my life already.

Lol what's the point of those tests? To piss off the viewers? Obviously if you drop what is essentially a 2-5lb weight onto it, it's gonna shatter. Esp when it's laying on what appears to be uneven cement.

I ordered my 16gb yesterday, sweet, and it is due to arrive in 1-2 weeks.
I ordered a ZAGG front and back protection. My questions is, does anyone use the zagg on the N4??
I am hoping it will combat the drops that will without a doubt take place.
thanks...

As soon as my factory plastic rubbed off back of phone I went to BB and got a cut yourself Zagg front and back. Back fits perfectly ( minus my lack of cutting skills. Front was however about 2/5th an inch too short.) Looks decent and I actually have a case coming and will probably get a different front at some point but it works for now.

It's a popular screen protector.

They have an orange-peel like texture that's pretty love it or hate it but they provide good protection and minor scratches resolve themselves over time.
I had one on my galaxy nexus. It worked well for a while but the edges gradually became very dirty, so I switched to an XO skin.

Very similar yes...in fact most of the time I prefer the BSEs as well, however, I'm looking for a bit more grip on the back of my N4 so I went with the Zagg. They are quite a bit more sticky so they improve grip. I actually bought both a BSE and a Zagg so I'll compare, but I know what the BSE feels like since I have it on the back of my iPad Mini. It's pretty slippery, which is why I bought a Zagg after it was released.

Hey guys, i should be getting my note 3 next week. One question for those of you who have the device. How is the leather back holding up?
It's not really leather, it's plastic that pretty much looks and kinda feels like leather.

Pleather I actually like it gives a good grip in comparison to the slick plastic note 1 had, I am currently on the hunt for a case but for now its giving me a good grip no slips or falls yet.

The original back of the phone is just textured plastic, but the flip cover is some sort of fake leather or maybe even real just like the blackberry bold9700. The flip cover feels very premium and seems to add a decent amount of protection.
It feels very nice actually. The black one anyway, the white one just feels like plastic. I am a huge fan of the new design. Love the fake stitching as well. Definitely go with black, though.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
It feels like soft rubbery plastic like the nexus 10 unlike the white which is hard plastic ..
Btw the new note 10 black is not the same soft plastic, it is plastic same as the white note 3 .. All have the leather texture look.
If you get the flip cover like I did it's a premium feel way better than stock feel and I have a white one
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
I have white and even though it does feel like plastic, I always use case with my phone so doesn't matter to me. Black does feel nicer if you gonna use the phone with no case.
I went with the black flip case , cause there was no other case . I was only going to use the flip case temp until I could get an otterbox or something , but it turns out the flip case is pretty good. I would say to at least check out the flip case , you might like it and it is full of features that are cool as well.
