Want Flash working on ya Samsung =0)

Sorry this is only the 2nd time in my life i have writen in a forum, hope it helped cause i know i couldnt find the info myself.
Open up a new browser - tap the bottom left button at the base of your phone - click the box labled 'More' - scroll down to the second last word that says 'Settings' -scroll down to 'Enable plug-ins' words, tick that - now to test, go to whatismyflash . is version 9.something, will only work on some sites, samsung galaxy s seems to only come with that pre installed version, have fun with that till froyo brings flash 10.1 . Your welcome.

I'm having trouble decoding your encryption.
but it sounds like you are telling people how to access Adobe Flash plug in, which is by default enabled
if you want Adobe Flash 10.1 you can use a Custom ROM, or you can wait for Froyo..... yes???
or are you asking for help to install Adobe Flash 10.1 ?

Yup it works !
Bit shonky on some sites, but that probably because it's flash 9, it works on Lidl and Aldi for the pikies lol

that's weird because i didn't have to turn it on, and the flash pages were working fine for me.
it shows as on already, bust have been one of the millioin things i've installed into the phone

My flash bloated pages were working "fine" (simple flash elements were shown, more complex ones do not show) without that option enabled.
If I enable it my browser craches on every page that has flash.

I enabled the plug in, however; when I try to play the video, I get is a red Icon "Flash" with number 9 below.

Doesn't work on all flash files. Videos and games don't seem to load. Ads however do.

LOL of course Ads will always load, that's how they make money
most of the videos and games are using Flash 10.xx or Flash 11
but our installed Flash seems to be like version 9 or something like that

wasn't enabled by default here either ('new' JM1)... Haven't really missed it so far either but have it enabled so we'll see

In the leaked update, lots of ppl were complaining the accuracy of swype was very poor. Is it working fine now?

I am actually on the opposite of that opinion scale. I think swype does a great job at typing/predicting what I wanted.

What about the hardware locked 3 button issue
Did they fix the hardware locked 3 button issue in this official OTA?

Did they fix the isues with the stock music player? (problems with large music databases, no .m3u support)

I heard that if you are rooted you can still get OTA updates because you don't change the firmware. Is this true? Because I would like an OTA update to fix my GPS. and i'm simply rooted for wifi tethering.

I noticed everything in the first post plus.
1. Photo Viewer/Gallery shows newest photos first. The way it should have been!

GPS does appear to be fixed. Using GPS Test from the Market I was NEVER able to get more than 2 satellites in use (even though it would see 10 to 12). Right after I updated, I went outside and within 10 seconds GPS Test said it was using 9 out of 10!!!!
Used MyTracks to track me and walked around the campus...it wasn't a perfect track but it was WAY better than before. This was just a short test, but based on what GPS Test is telling me I have to think that it is indeed fixed.

That was my experience. I was rooted via the OCLF app without the lag fix installed. The update installed fine and when it was all done I was still root.

Edit contact - select ringtone,
choose sound -> and browse your mp3 file.

Samsung Dive and SGS2

I never heard of "Samsung Dive" before but someone pointed out a link:

1. Track (helps you find your phone)
2. Lock (lock your phone and show a message on the screen)
3. Ring (helps you finding your phone by making it - who could have expected this - ring)
4. Call logs (check the call log)
5. Wipe out (completeley deletes all files on your phone, obviously remote control then won't work anymore.)
I like those features !

Don't worry. I asked about this on a different forum, but no one was interested. I don't know why. I was happy when I found out that a service like this is existent on the Galaxy S II.

it's a very good service

Big fan of the remote sound on feature..I always forget to take it off vibrate when I come out of class.

Sounds god to me. I like the htcsense.com for HTC devices, I can only imagine this is similar

Nothing works for me apart from editing my account details.
As soon as I try and click on my device on the web page I get taken to a big error page:

Same here!

Btw has anyone tried Kies air? Truly phenomenal. Allows you to download and upload files to/from your phone from your computer's browser. No need for USB cables. And since it's over the same LAN network it's around the same speed as USB.
The interface isn't rushed either...it's fantastic.

Yeah, I really like Kies Air. But... Samsung Dive simply does not work for me...

pls stick to this thread as am going to post all the issues of gingerbread on this thread ..
starting by now i'll update it with every issue I can find
we start after awhile ,
lets count
1- the Swype spacebar in portrait is too small
2- screen-off animation
3- VOIP Support
4- The new google Music app crashes though
5- the light on the the keys doesn't turn off, only if the screen is also off ( thought its a good bug )
6- poor wifi connection
7- the eBook reader missing with some ppl ( not with me )
8- not supporting arab language
9- Wiimotes still dont work on 2.3
10- no charge via USB ( COMPUTER )
11- flash 10.2 or 10.3 on some sites is not working
12- the screen off suddenly after 1min when u play some of the games

Ok, number 10, its not a bug. The tab will trickle charge is used with standard cable.
If you buy an adaptor, then you can get it to charge at a 'normal' rate.

5 isn't a bug. Its a feature of gingerbread.
Wifi has been better for me on 2.3.3
The screen off animation is enabled if you flash Overcome 2.0.0 Beta 1 or 2.

No issues with the wifi. Working fine.
5. Actually is a good thing for me. I always tend to tap the wrong button when im in the dark cause the light turns off immediately on froyo. Though the disadvatages would be when watching movies, the light of the button can be distracting.

But I cannot answer incoming VOIP calls with the TAB (although it might work with a bluetooth headset) because there is no incoming call screen or answer button like there is for a normal GSM incoming call.
Outgoing calls work fine.

Im interested in voip on the sgt. Installed the fix. Now I need a sip account. Someone here to advice me on this one?

Printing is not working (email and web) worked fine with my Tmobile USA Tab on 2.2.

The whole gingerbread is a collection of bugs! I dont like it in my tab! Froyo works way faster, smoother and better in the tab!

Agreed. This is definitely working for me in GB - exactly the same behaviour as Froyo.

Well.i think they flashed gingerbread with to many bugs. For me im going to wait for an.update at kies. Im kinda scared of flashing it because of brick.

Weird. My tab hasn't experienced any lags despite the horde of apps eating up my ram in the background. It's much faster and smoother for me.

So , I just received an update an hour ago and successfully installed it. I was already on ICS before that, and I'd like to know what this update is about. Are there any fixes? do know where I can get a hold of their change log?

It's early days, but I'm sure guys will be into 4.0.4 and find out exactly what's good and what isn't. Just one thing, don't factory re-set until we see positive news about the eMMc brick bug that affects the SGN running ICS

My note is not hot after upgraded to 4.0.4 and it is faster, the pattern lock screen changed. Wake lock still testing on it. (Need to test out if this extends the battery)

However, what I am about is this feature that I read somewhere. Too bad I was in a hurry that time, and didn't get a chance to save the link , but what it mentioned was that this "premium" version gave the capability where you can directly write into the s-note app, without the need to open the app. I am imagining that if you you have it on your main screen, you can directly write to it already, unlike before when it needed to open the app before you can do something.
Was these all true? or did I assume wrong?

Yes, u must be referring to the quick S Note, but this is available on 4.0.3 already.

S Memo doesn't open after ICS 4.0.4 Update on GT-N7000
Hi Folks,
I updated my GT-N7000 to ICS 4.0.4 update (87Mb, India) through OTA, and after that the S Memo doesn't open at all. The Application does 'open' but gives a black screen before displaying a message, 'Unfortunately, S Memo couldn't open' and gives me an option to cancel or wait.
Its been a few days since the update and i tried emptying cache, clearing application data and also wiping partition cache but none of it worked.
Please provide a solution for this issue as S Memo is like a canvas for me.
