I found this CWM for the Japanese variant on a Japanese blog, but it tries to save it to the internal storage and not the SD Card.
Are there any developers that could get it working on with external SD cards?
Thank you.

Hey at all,
i installed CM7RC at the weekend on my SGS.
So, after some hours of checking and configuring the OS and i´m enthused.
But i have found one problem.
When i insert my external SD card the system don´t response of it.
In "settings -> memory (its my translation - i don´t now the used english words) i can find the internal memory, sd card and additional or external sd card.
the internal has 1.87GB, the sd 5,78GB.
When i have insert the external sd card the systems write not available and plz insert sd card .... .
Do anyone know this problem? I tried a 16GB and 8GB sd card. both are full functionally under the original OS.
at experts: can anyone tell me the device which will be mount?
so i thought about a manually mount to test or to use until a fix is available.
thx.

If you flashed CM7 from gingerbread then your external sd wont work... that is a known problem.
If you flashed from froyo then your external sd card will be in mnt/emmc

I guess you have gingerbread bootloaders on you phone. Revert to stock froyo rom,and then install CM7 nightly from there,im sure it will solve the problem.
I found the Prob. It was the bootloader. After flashing the froyo bootloader i Gott full access
to my edternal sd card.

For some strange reason My external Sd card does not show up in the cwm Recovery. The Sd card is fine, it worked on my S2 Fine but for some reason its not working on the cwm Recovery. Currently running Stock Tmobile 4.0.4. Cwm 5.8.4.7. I am able to see my phones internal sd files, just the external sd appears to be missing. i have also tried mounting the external sd but have been unsuccessful. any help?

Anything newer than 5.8.4.5 isn't seeing the sd card on the AT&T version. I doubt yours is any different. You can download what you need here: http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/

Is your SD card partitioned ? If not, this is normal from Link2SD.
Your problem is that your SD card is not mounted at all (no /storage/ExtSdCard folder).
Did you try your SD card with another device ?
Unfortunately, some users report problems with ScanDisk SD Cards on Samsung devices, it may also come from the brand.

thanks for answering
I dont think my SD card is partitioned.. i mean I have never changed/ created anything.. should it b partitioned automatically or i should change something? cuz i havent changed anything..
so anyway, how do I partition my sd card?
thank you very much
SD card partition is made with a Partition wizard tool on a PC with memory card reader. You can also use CWM recovery.
SD card partition erases the whole content of the SD card, so be sure to make a backup before.
For low end devices with few internal memory, it can be useful to create a 2nd partition on the SD card to link applications into it and save place in internal memory (link2SD does it perfectly).
But for our devices, i'm not sure this is useful because internal storage is quite big already.
You can still move applications on the SD card with link2SD (it does not need 2dn SD card partition to work anyway) :
select the app in the list, then select "move to SD card"
Hello everyone
I have LG p705
android 4.0.3
version v10e
3.0.8-perf
I followed a tutorial and managed to root the device hoping to be able to install my applications on the externl card.
I have partitioned my sd card then I used Link2sd, foldermount and AppMgr III and other tools but I always receive a message: External card does not exist or emulated or the device does not support..
Is there a solution please?
Thanks

I've got p700, I'm sorry but we can't, the reason is that our phone "emulates" the external memory card with the 2gb of the internal space, lg made this, we can't change this.
You can only try to move games data file on the sd, I've seen some guides but I've not tried them, so I don't know if they're work.
I have E610 (L5) and it emulates internal memory, but when I partitioned my sdcard (first partition has EXT4 file type) I can move apps with link2sd app - option link2sd (app2sd doesn't work beacouse of emulated internal memory - phisycally it's also sdcard, but builded in phone)
