[Q] HTC HD2 ROM install problem - HD2 General

Hi, I want to reinstall a new ROM firmware on my HD2 as its constantly crashing and now its getting stuck on the htc white welcome screen, the one which comes up immediately as you switch on the phone. The problem is that I cant use the phone and therefore cant connect the phone to the pc with active sync as its not loading up.
I have tried pressing the red button at the back and also doing a reset by pressing the vol up and down and the on button, where it resets successfully but when it tries to boot up it gets stuck again! ;S
Can someone help me pls?
Thanks

the insruction to connect to activesync is rubbish, and doesnt really mean activesync teh program.
power off
hold and keep holding vol-down
tap and release power
when stripey screen appears release vol-down
connect usb cable
wait for 'serial' to become 'usb' on white part of stripey screen
ready to flash.

Some try leaving the battery out a while before trying to boot - but i doubt if this will work. A hard reset is usually the fix.
Solution/reason of hang up on WM boot screen
I have the same problem. See my "solution" here:

reflash it in USB connect mode (switch off, then on again while holding the camera button)

The only way out is to either Hard reset the device or reflash in bootloaders while in usb connectivity and delete the partnership with Activesync.

X2 - Can't enter bootloader mode?

Hi, I am having an issue getting my X2 into boot mode in order to update the firmware - even following the instructions on SE Update Service (press and hold volume down button and power button until white screen appears)
All that happens is the vibration feedback to indicate power on, then the phone loads up as normal.
I've updated another X2 and it worked correctly, the problem appears to be with this specific unit.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what may be causing this, or how to get this one into boot mode please?
Best to send it to service centre..
could it be because it's made in china? just a thought...
Just note that on the X2 you wont see the bootloader.
You know your in the bootloader when the phone stand on the SE Logo.
Then you can connect the phone and update it
Hi, thanks for the advice all
I can't send it to a service centre as I don't have a receipt unfortunately
I'm not sure what being built in China has to do with it not entering boot mode, most SE phones are and I've not had a problem with my other ones?
Thanks for the advice on boot mode - I successfully used SEUS an another X2 and the boot mode is essentially a white screen with the SE brand logo - sadly I don't get that white screen just the black screen with logo and vibration feedback then it powers on.
Any other suggestions or should I give up and sell as faulty/parts only?
Thanks

And the X1 was made in Taiwan. What's your point?
bootloader phone stand on the SE Logo
hm, obviously missed that one after X2 subfora where created...
Mod. edit: moved to correct forum, X2 General
try this:
read all steps first
turn off phone
pull out battery wait ten seconds
put battery back in (leave cover off)
hold the power button + hold volume down
press the soft restart button* (while still holding the power button + volume down)
keep buttons held down till you see the white screen and green logo.
note* push the button with stylus it is hidden under where the stylus goes in next to the camera.
plug into the computer and run SUES it'll say already have latest version update anyways? click yes
i had to do this when i bricked my phone, (my computer crashed while i was doing the update) it really saved my day.
x2 dead
I have same problem in my phone , during update with SEUS computer hang and now
my phone shows only vibrate.
i have tried volume down+power+reset
but it can't go to white screen or sonyericsson logo.
any other solution

[Q] help in un bricking my tmo-hd2

Hi guys, i am facing exact same thing which dannytgt faced (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6707785&postcount=1)...but with no luck what so ever.....was running a stock rom in my hd2 3.14....wanted to try wp7 and did a task29....after that...hd2 doesnt go into bootloader screen....tried all possible combinations with/without sd,sim, holding vol down, vol up, both with power tapped...power holded etc etc...hd2 always goes into stick together screen and doesnt progress as there is os to load....opened up the mobile and tried with a pin to push the vol down switch directly also....all hardware keys were working gr8 (including vol down and up and power keys) whn win 6.5/android was running.
i know for the fact that this is reversable....if only my hd2 can get to bootloader...i will hv os running in a jiffy....
any ideas ppl? my hd2 is 3 months old ...no warrenty cos i bought it in US and using it in india...
bootloader dont load
some more details...tried to task29 (doloop) with 100% success and then my tmo hd2 wont go into bootscreen what ever i do...its stuck for ever in "stick together"...i know there is no os to load...but i dont understand y cant my hd2 go intobootloader
so far i tried
with holding volume down and power key with a single tap
with holding volume down and holding power key
with holding volume down, volume up and power key with a single tap
with holding volume down and reset button
with/without sim
with/without SD
with/without plug in wall charger
with/without plug to pc via usb cable
observations...when i pull out the battery and put it back in and then connect to computer when the phone is still off....the charging indicator LED glows in orange.
when in this mode if i switch the phone on with power/end key....it doent start...i have to pull the usb out, the orange LED still glows...and if i tap the power/end key nothing happenes...i have to pullout the battery to get it to start and eventually get stuck in "stick together"..
would really appriciate if any1 can help me get my hd2 into bootloader screen...
resolved the problem myself.....hd2 is working like a charm....thanks for all your support.

Good to know it got resolved. What did you do? In my case I had kept the battery out for a while and put it back in and it started getting me into bootloader with VOL down and Power key.

Galaxy S black screen

Hi all, I have a galaxy s and was going to install a new rom. I saved the rom to the sd card and pressed the power button to go into recovery mode, the screen went black as usual but never rebooted and the screen stayed black. I connect it to the pc and it tried to load some driver something to do with "test driver" but anyway the screen stays black and the phone does nothing. Any ideas how to fix this without sending back to Samsung. Thanks for any ideas. Wayne.
Does the phone show the samsung logo at the beggining or is it just dead black?

the same problem with me today blank screen, no vibration, no download/recovery mode, anything. The only sign of life is when I connect it to my PC, it detects a new device named SEC S5PC110 Test B/D , request a driver
You should send it back to Samsung. I'm thinking that its more than a software (ROM) problem when even download/recovery mode isn't working.
Same happened to me, try to get your phone back in restore mode with the three button trick. Amd reinstall the image again... it will work..
mine is just black does nothing except request a driver when i connect it to a pc. SEC S5PC110 TEST B/D. thats all it will do.
It is probably the deep sleep coma bug (I've had it ever since I flashed to 2.3.4).
Hold the power button down for 10 seconds and it should reboot the phone.
Remove the battery, leave the phone disconnected from the PC and get the phone in restore mode. Then when that succeedes, connect the phone to the PC.
I heard this problem in other forums when users flash a wrong rom or firmware. Only samsung can repair your device.
Try to access download mode: vole down button + home button + power button if you can access this let me know

Were you with him when it was bricked? Are you sure it went off on its own?
(because as far as I know, the HD2 won't shut off for no reason, taking into account that the battery was fully charged.)
Also, since the device boots up, I doubt it is bricked.
If you have HSPL on it, than it is not bricked.
Try this:
1) Take out the battery for 30 sec at least
2) Put it back in and press the volume down button (and hold it), while you press on the Power button (an hold)
Until you enter the 3 colour screen
After you are there, just connect it to the PC and as soon as it says USB you can flash MALGDR or anything you want.
Good luck.
ughhh
man i think my hd2 is brickd like it wont even turn on it only vibrates a lil wen i press the power button any help please

When it vibrates, isn't it a sign that it's booting up? Try doing what Johev stated. Hold the Volume down button while it's booting up or even while holding the power button. If you can get to the tri-colored screen, your phone is safe.
