[Q] Any word on availability through Verizon corporate stores?

Trying to live a life where I don't have to give money to Best Buy. Saw that Verizon updated their Xoom page this weekend, but surprisingly still no order or pre-order information.
I'm assuming if I walk up on Thursday morning they'll have them, but stranger things have happened. Any word on Verizon corporate stores and their expected Xoom inventory?

Just called my local Verizon store, no one there knows if they'll get Xooms to sell on Thursday.

I've heard Verizon stores are only getting 2 or 3 units. This is all rumor at this point, but I do know that BB stores are only getting 5-10 units to sell with most being closer to 5.

I was at a Verizon corporate store in North Seattle yesterday. I asked if they were going to have Xooms on Thursday. The guy I ended up talking to would not come out and outright confirm it, but "highly recommended" I visit the store early on Thursday. Take that for what it's worth. I'm buying mine at Costco.

Its worth calling. Icalled my local VZW store today and asked if they were doing any presale on the Xoom. She said she would hold one for me and took my name and number. I'll be stopping by Thursday morning (opens at 7:30!) to pick mine up. If they end up not holding one for me, all is well, I have a pre-order in with Best Buy.
But, moral of the story, its worth calling and asking if they will put one on hold for you.

Looks like an early morning for me as well. There's a non-corporate store near me, so I'll also check in with the owner tonight. The small shops are usually pretty good about cutting deals, but they usually get stock after everyone else.

Yeah it does. I live downtown chicago, so there are 5ish stores within a couple miles of where I live and work. There is one that opens at 7 as well, but its a bit further a way.

Checked my store this am (Sac Cal) and they seemed to be barely aware of what I was talking about

They're telling me (harlingen, texas) that the 28th is when they'll make theirs available but that the tablets they'll have WILL have flash 10.2. I have no clue why the delay but the wait is gonna suck. He took my name and number and said he'd call me the 27th.

Rotten customer service, poorly informed apathetic sales staff and being forced to listen to a sales pitch for product protection plans which is laced with guilt and unfounded fear for most consumers.
Since there is no price advantage at Best Buy, why put up with the aggravation.

Corporate VZ stores will definitely have Xoom's available on the 24th.

for the e3D ? really i went to preorder mine so i stopped in at the 2 stores near me ... neither are taking preorders .. reason no release date umm WTF . i told them to check androidcentral.com and you will see radioshack leaked the release date June 24.
he looks it up and say's can't trust it since it's not from sprint .... wow then tell me im the only one that has asked about the phone and doughts it will be a big hit ..WOW
oh well bestbuy got my preorder i asked how many they had taken for preorders he smiles and says .. im the last one for that store IE 35 preorders

I can't say I'm surprised, some sprint store employee's don't even know what time or day it is and only know when the store closes. I have had extremes when going to sprint store such as just plain terrible customer service to fantastic customer service. Oh well I wouldn't preorder from sprint if Bestbuy is doing an instant rebate anyway.

If you recall when the EVO was coming, Sprint was not taking preorders at first...it was Radio Shack (and I think Best Buy came a bit later). It's marketing....Sprint sells exclusives to these stores so they generate traffic. The phone still gets sold..and the participating stores get traffic so people will buy other things. Once it's closer to (or right at launch) the exclusive is over and the Sprint stores jump in.
Radio Shack's internal communication isn't that great. Some are franchise and some are company owned...which leads to "huh?" a lot.

Also depends on what type of store it is. Only corporately owned stores are able to take preorders, indirect (preferred/authorized/co-branded/etc) are not able to.

Lol cheesy. Just did the same thing. Went to sprint to pre order and they looked at be like I was crazy. Said they didn't have a release date yet. I said the 24th and he looked baffled. Told him I would just go to best buy and he said "are they doing pre orders?" I said yes and radio shack. So I went over to the best buy in the same shopping center and 10 minutes later I ordered 2 of them. Smh........

I went in for service on my EVO a week or so ago right after I made my 3D pre-order at Radio Shack (Best Buy will never get my money again) and when I mentioned the order the Sprint "tech" looked baffled. For some reason Sprint doesn't seem to want to sell many phones in the store. The Sprint prices for all phones are always higher in the store and online than they are at other retailers, their mail-in-rebates are actually mail-in, and they're the last to offer pre-orders. Take for example the EVO, which is still $199 from Sprint, is $149.99 at Radio Shack.

I just pre ordered mine today, they only wanted $50, then asked for my number so they could call when it comes in. I asked him about the leaked radio shack flyer and he said he doesnt think its fake but doesnt know how true it is. Then my "wtf" moment was when he told me I was #2 on the list!

I got my pre order last week for 50$ gift card that can be used to buy the phone. Weird some of the sprint stores do and some don't. I'm also #2 on the list lol

:-( now I'm not sure...I was dead set on getting the E3D but I've watched/listened reviews (podcasts) on the sensation and there similarities and also on the Samsuck Galaxy S2 and it looks like the Sammy (to me) is over all alot faster smoother more fluid moving phone. :-( now i know all about samsungs crappy issues lol (from previous phone's) but I'm still up in the air about this one..(did I also mention that I hate touch wiz ? :-\

Same deal with me, I went to the corporate sprint store and the obese lady told me that I have to pre-order online, which I told her that you can't do that.
Luckily next door is a radioshack, so I got my pre-order there. I assume sprint still gets money from these orders, but not as much as when bought from the store.

I'm really surprised at how many of you enjoy sending in those 150 dollar rebates. Radio Shack handles the rebate for you so the phone is 199.99 + tax. At sprint it will be 349.99 and you deal with the rebate. I don't get it. Radio Shack has my preorder and I already laid down 50 so its 149 and if I trade in a EVO it will be 50 bucks. Can't beat that.

I walked into my sprint store and pre ordered no problem... Got gift card and confirmation number... Turned around 5 minutes later and used the gift card to pay 50 towards my bill...

Ordered your GS3 from BB? I feel your pain, never gonna preorder from a 3rd party again. But if you have any info re: BB preorders, post it up here.

I gotta say, my whole reason for preordering through Best Buy was because they were the first to open for preorders. They started accepting preorders on 6.5.12, everyone else the following day, so I surmised that at best I'd get the phone slightly before everyone else or at worst the same time as AT&T. The sad truth is that although I preordered before 99% of the people here, I'll likely be one of the last to get the damn thing.
That being said, I'll never preorder though Best Buy again. They are as wildly uninformed as AT&T but when push comes to shove, BB gets pushed to the side as if somehow it's customers (who's money goes directly to AT&T just the same) aren't as important as those who preordered through AT&T direct. The one's who lose are us, the customers. Lesson learned. If I ever preorder a phone again, rest assured it will be direct from the carrier.
Sorry for the rant, just sucks to see so many people who preordered after I did get their phone, or at least shipping confirmation (with delivery eta 6.21.12) before I even know if my preorder is going to be filled on or before 6.21.12 as stated on my preorder receipt.

I preordered in a Best Buy store and have no reason to think I wont be able to pick my phone up tomorrow.

Yeah...I ordered from Best Buy as well. But ain't quite ready to rush the joint with torches.
We shall see what tomorrow brings.

Two BBs around me both said the phone was coming out tomorrow. So I'll be up and on the phone seeing if I can buy an unreserved one

I called my local store (Watertown, MA) a little after 10am and they had no idea when the shipment was going to come in. I've also tweeted @BestBuy. I'll post if/when they respond.

Morning shipments. Best buy does not do any inventory things at night. They will arrive in stores via UPS or FedEx.

I pre-ordered mine at Best Buy, my gf works in mobile and just called and word is they haven't got their UPS shipments in yet today(due in any time)but RSS is still showing they should be here today. So I'll wait before I grab my pitchfork.

Just went into my best buy store here in frisco, texas. When I arrived the salesman showed me an internal email they received that stated that the pre orders would be closer to july first before they would be filled.
As I was walking out the salesman called me back over to show me a new email they received that said the preorders would be fulfill tomorrow.
Bottomline, the store doesn't have a clue nor does the best buy home office.

Just called my local BB (Corpus Christi, TX) and was told the SIII was delayed but hopefully they'll fulfill pre orders this weekend. I was 14 out of 25 pre orders

Mine told me they didn't even have a date for sprint yet lol. I'm going wherever gets it in store first.

Couple guys in the main Sprint pre-orders thread said they received calls from their local Best Buy telling them to expect a call around noon tomorrow to pick up their phone. They were both expecting shipments by tomorrow morning.

There's a thread going with T-Mobile pre-orders in the Q&A forums. I pre-ordered on the 18th, first date it was available. Had an estimated delivery date of the 26th which came and went. My card was just charged yesterday, thinking they will start shipping today or tomorrow. My status is still as backordered.
This whole pre-order thingy is whack, should have just waited till Wednesday and gone in to get the N3 and Gear watch same time.

I pre-ordered on the 19th. My cash was held on Friday but I haven't received any shipping info. I've called in asking for the status and was told they won't ship anything until the 2nd. I'm thinking I should have just gone into the store since I ordered ground shipping and will have to wait that long now. Kinda sucks.

I feel yall...whats the damn benefit of preordering if you get it when the stores get it...hell you could save on the shipping cost...COME ON T-MOBILE

Now that you mentioned shipping that just made me more upset, $25 overnight shipping to get it maybe 1 or 2 days later than stores? WTF....
Also if there is a problem with the device, ordering in the store is MUCH easier because you can just walk in and swap it out. Online orders you have to ship it back to them, wait up to a week for them to look over it and hope they don't lose it (they lost my S4 for 3 weeks in their receiving warehouse) then mail you out another and you get charged $5 for a "swap" fee.
Top it off, you can't cancel the order once you pre-order it. This whole pre-order thingy stinks of BS. T-Mobile rep said to wait for it to ship (whenever that will be) then wait for the UPS man and refuse delivery, that's the ONLY way to cancel it. You'll lose your shipping charges too. Nice eh?
I forgive them though, they did get my LG G2 delivered to me 2 weeks before the store release date. =)

I had to order mine online to quality for my promotion (10% off service and $50 account credit). It also claims I'll have 2-4 days to wait for it (free shipping, no expedited option was available). I'm willing to be patient to save $218 over the course of two years, though

I called 5 stores and visited one in person on Monday. All the stores have them in stock and go on sale Wednesday. I didn't hear anything about low stock from any of them. Most likely the rep just wants to get you in there asap to get a commission, lol. I had one rep badger me to sign up with service now, then come back and buy the phone on Wed, lol.

I'm in SC and will also pick my note 3 up tomorrow around 10am we they open. And my area has 2 locations each with only 8-10 black in stock.

I was also planning to pick it up in store, because the preorder didn't really seem to have any advantage to it.
I did some calling around, and it does seem that each store isn't getting too many units. My local retailer is
about 10 minutes away (running), and it opens at 10 AM. I'm also actually a college student, and I have a calc. lecture
until 9:50... I'm really tempted to leave class 20 minutes early. haha. Is it worth it?

The T-Mo Corp Store I work in as a RSA got 15 of the black only. We do not have a Demo phone to show customers. I will be buying my phone tonight before I leave the store. Most of the stores that I talk to got under 15 some got demos some did not. My store has never sold out of a Galaxy phone on day one.

G2 using Slim Bean

Well I have had mine since 1034am and so far I'm not liking it as much as the mega 6.3. It's basically the same size as the note 2 the no big difference there. There is auto correct while typing. It is rooted however the system is keeping certain root apps from working, such as wifi trevE mod which I still haven't figured out. Anyone that has a work around on the wifi trevE mod please by all means help me out with a link & screen shot of the settings. Thanks in advance.

Official release date in store?

Does anyone know which day officially tmobile stores will be physically selling these phones. I'm about 15 minutes outside of new orleans and have yet to be able to get a solid answer b from any sales person in the store or officially from a rep over the phone. thanks to anyone that can help

just got one in store. there were other people there getting the s7s and the rep even ask me if i want to avail the BOGO deal

Yes, they are released for all stores. Only way they wouldn't have it at one store is if they sold out already, which from what it sounds like from people going to stores, it's unlikely that would be the case. Not hearing of any super busy stores.
