Stuck at Language selection . . . . Help Needed - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

Been thru a every post possible , flashing between 6-8 stock roms and 3-4 custom roms , I still get the same problem from every one of them . Whenever the phone starts up , either I click on the green android logo or language selection , I will be stuck . The phone just freeze or reboot after a min or two . At times , I will get stuck at a bootloop at the " Samsung " screen .
All these started when I downgraded from Criskelo v7 back to Gingerbread using PC Odin , flashing stock pre-rooted LC2 rom . After a boot up from LC2 , I get this problem suddenly and it hasn't go away since . Even try changing kernels from speedmod to franco to CF root yet I still get the same problem . Any suggestion will be helpful and appreciated .
P/S : Sorry for my poor english

No guarantees it'll with for you, but I have had similar symptoms some time ago, after downgrading from ICS to GB. What helped in my case was wiping cache and dalvik from recovery (or using jbroid script). Operation should be safe on GB kernels, but, should you want to try, check again on superbrick causes to avoid disaster.

Did that ...... Same problem ... Just noticed that whenever I boot up and get stuck at language selection , pressing the power button doesn't bring out any menu . It's blank . I have to either take out the battery or long press the power button to turn it off . Not sure if it's the case for official stock rom but i have this problem as well on custom roms .

can you use the 'press all four corners to skip setup' trick?
I had this issue when coming from ICS to GB, and had to clear data from google services framework

Stuck on Galaxy S screen!

Hi guys I hope someone can help me, I rooted my S and did factory reset ready to install darkys 9.3 rom, installed cwm and CF-Root-XW_OXX_JV1-v1.3-BusyBox-1.17.1_NO-CWM.zip that cf file, everything went ok with odin and when the phone rebooted it wont get past the Galaxy S screen, cant get into download or recovery mode and when I hold the power button it goes off and then comes straight back on, is there anything I can do to sort it, I am on Virgin, 2.2.1 JPW, thanks for any help
Did you came from another custom rom before flashing Darky's?
Have you disabled any lagfix before flashing?
Hi m8. Stock and no lagfix applied. I have been in touch with Virmin and they are couriering a new phone to me tomorrow. Thx for the reply.

No 3 buttons combo = JIG
Always Check that you have the 3 B COMBO, before flashing anything it's on a steacky thread!! (i think admin should change the color of the sticky thread).
Will they charge you for a new phone as you have a custom rom on the exchange .

No 3 button combo m8.
It is on stock m8 after doing factory reset.
GOOD .

Lagfix
I also encountered this. But my problem was that I had lagfix enabled when flashing a new kernel. Just reflashed the previous kernel and disabled the lagfix. Flashed the new kernel again and everything was good.
I also found this when updating from JM7 to JS5, directly.
Seems it was a patience issue. That screen can take a long time after a flash.
Once also it ended by a shutdown after a while. Reflashing to JM5 then to JS5 through the 3 combo buttons solved it + repartition

Man, hope you get/got your new phone but you fu**ed up. Your problem stands out like dogs balls. You've even put it in capital letters.
1. You flashed CF ROOT JV1-NO CWM.
JV1 = Gingerbread. You were on 2.2.1 Froyo. Of course it won't boot up.
NO CWM - means exactly that. What's the purpose of installing cwm/recovery then flashing a kernal that ends with NO CWM?? It doesn't support it. How were you going to flash darkys?
Man, not knocking you but you really need to read instructions before doing **** like this. Any 2.2.1 (maybe even 2.2) cf root version would have avoided this.
2. You say the phone was stock when returned because you factory reset. You forgot that you flashed a custom kernal after that based on firmware that hasn't even been officially released yet. The reason it wouldn't boot. So, it aint stock. Shouldn't matter anyway as Sammy will just force it into download mode and reflash.
3. Since you initially flashed with Odin, then 3 button method was working before. So, the lesson for us all is: jv1 kernal + froyo base = brick. Jig sellers aren't complaining.
I'm also with virgin but using docs 2.2.1 (or CM7 2.3.3 depending on the time of day). If your near Melbourne I'm more than happy to help out with your new phone.

help me with my Desire HD

hi guys .. i have HTC Desire HD it was working very well on version 2.3.3 then i decide to downgrade it to 2.2 so i can get root + recovery by following this guide :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152233&highlight=downgrade
i followed the instruction EXACTLY as it was posted after i get to bootloader and i made the update the phone restart and died for almost 5 mints then it switched on HTC logo and keeps vibrating for 2 mints then it works normally .
each time i switch it off it needs 5 mints to turn on after that it keep vibrating as i have said even i cant go to bootloader mode (by pressing volume down + power ) but only with terminal command or by using Ultimate Multi Tool .
by the way :- my phone is 2.2 + S-Off + recovery .
Install rom manager and flash recovery again. Then try and flash a new rom.

Erm, try and use a full wipe script, look in the Android Revolution thread.
Probably a corrupt bootloader, maybe try flashing it again?

no need to use those words man ,,, i tried full wipe by using this FULL_WIPE_1.5_EXT4_.zip
wipe it, Reflash and maybe re-root!
re
Just the bootloader...
I had a similar problem when I tried to root and flash ROM's on to mine.
In the end I started the whole process again. I went right back to the beginning as if my phone wasn't rooted. It seemed to work, I don't know but maybe first time round I made a stupid mistake and was a little more careful on my second run.
Anyway, I would suggest re-rooting your phone, then flashing a ROM again. I know it's long but sometimes it's the only way!
Good luck!
To op.
I would recomend using ROM Manager from market, and from there, flash Clockwork Recovery (CWM).
I don't know what recovery or what rom you have tried, but i could point you in the direction of a CM7 rom (Cyanogenmod) or something like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040 . That might do the trick..

Let me know when you have some news I fix up my phone with Odin, flashing a stock rom and original .pit file but, as you can read, i lost ICS. I think i will waiting for a Stable release
This is a good site for troubles
ics.samsung-updates.com/trouble
see:
Phone is in boot loop
can't get to Recovery (I9000)
Put phone in Download mode and use FixRecovery.tar.md5 in Odin as PDA, uncheck auto-reboot option.
After flash reboot to recovery with 3-button-combo and CWM flash proper ICS kernel and reboot
For trouble after follow instructions from HOW TO FLASH section proper for Your device

First time flasher

Finally got my tab back and I am now thinking of flashing a custom from on to it. So I just wanted to know which is the best rom to install on my version P7500 and one that as the least problems. This will be the first time i have done this so how easy is it and what's the best way to do it with out effecting your flash count
I can suggest 2 different ROM´s.
Overcome v2.3.1, all is working, but is Honeycomb 3.2.
Or, when you not need the camera, use ICS 4.03.
(Camera driver is not available at the moment for ICS)
My favorite is AOKP, Version Milestone-4 and update build28.

Here are some hints:
Installation:
Make sure you're on the latest CWM (root your TAB)
MAKE A NANDROID Backup (in CWM)
wipe data/factory reset in recovery
flash ROM
flash Gapps
reboot
wait for the ICS its coming soon

Your guess is as good as everyone elses. I've seen estimated times pass already, and several say another month and longer.
Seems the only agreement you'll get is either soon or later, to never.

Nandroid make backups in /mnt/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup,
factory reset does nothing there.
I would also suggest overcome 2.3.1 while waiting for ICS release. I actually use the camera :-(. Otherwise I would be using a custom ICS ROM.

How good is overcome 2.3.1 am on the original rom 3.2 and it still feels like it struggles at times
Give the rom a change and flash it, you will see it is awesome,
but the custom ICS roms are also for daily use ready.
The only possibility to determine which rom is better for you,
is to flash it all.
You can not damage your TAB, and with Odin you can anytime back to stock samsung firmware, which were found on sammobile homepage.
Will this effect your flashcount
How do you root the 3g version there used to be a guide on here but i cant find it
This guide is the best and it works for the 3g model as well

Samsung has already rolled out ICS for galaxy S II and the ICS for GT 10.1 is supposed to be released soon but soon is such a bad word to use since its always used to evade responsibilities!
Anyhow I am hopefully Samsung will push it out before end of Q2 as promised before but what saddens me is that the next Android Jelly bean is right around the corner yet all the companies are struggling to update their devices to ICS. Android's biggest problem as of right now is fragmentation and Google should look into it seriously!

Did you also flashed the correct file,
there are two full versions available?

First of all there is no way to avoid that 'flash count' thing...
Now, there is no need of rooting if u are going to flash a custom rom like ICS (preferably AOSP) or Overcome....coz they come pre-rooted...
1) Grab the latest odin flashable CWM recovery from http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/recovery/cwm5/p4/recovery.tar.md5
2) Flash the above downloaded CWM in the PDA section of Odin. in the Download mode (press the vol down button while turning on the tab...when two icons appear, press the vol up button and again confirm by the vol up)
3) Also Download the required Custom Rom .zip file and copy it to the SD card root of ur Tab..
4) Turn the tab off and while restarting again enter bootloader mode by keeping the vol down key pressed...now use the vol down key to navigate to the left icon nd use the vol up key to confirm...now u'll enter CWM recovery...
5) Use the volume keys to navigate...nd power switch to confirm.
6) Wipe user data...cache nd dalvik cache (in advanced)...
7) Now go to 'install zip from SD card' nd 'choose zip from sd card'
8) Now choose the zip file dat u copied earlier nd confirm...(if u flash ICS then u also hav to Flash Gapps without a reboot in between)
9) After everythng is done reboot your tab...nd ur done...
10) Enjoy....nd Happy Flashing..!!!

Updated to ICS -- Slightly Laggy Help

I have updated to ICS via OTA.
Now, if i open keypad to dial it first shows grey screen for 2seconds and then the numbers appears... Same with contacts.
I also got couple of times black screen as if phone frooze.
Once, even i got scrambled green images on screen which got corrected by pressing Home button multiple times.
Apart from this, Phone seems to be running fine.
So, how can i myself solve this problem now OR Do i have to go to Samsung service centre and let them reinstall ICS?
PS:
I am using Indian official ICS Baseband Ver. LP4 & Build Number LP8.
I have never rooted and was on Stock GB before the urgrade.
I fear if i try to fix this ICS problem myself i will run into bricking problem.
UPDATE
See post 7 & 13 Below
I had this issue but after i wired data using code *2767*3855# everything worked smoothly.
You can try this at your own risk as it might brick if yor device has emmc bug. I have already done it over 15 times and no issue

I rooted my Note after about two days so not sure if this will work on non-root....
Reboot into recovery (Power+Vol Up + Home) then clear cache and clear Dalvik cache. Reboot then see if lag continues. Clearing caches and reboot seems to get rid of lags and gives phone a new life
Today again phone got frooze on homescreen for 5mins and got back to life again after pressing Home key numerous times
So yes, something is wrong with this ICS update.
Plz provide a solution and also mention if tht solution can lead to bricking bug..
BUMP.
I had exactly the same problems while updating Gb to ICS using OTA update. Anywhow, I never got to fix this. I would try following steps:
Clean the cache of your ICS installations/apps using any Cache-cleaning tool on the Play Store
Reboot your phone like 2-3 times (sometimes this seems to fix some problems with your kernel/rom since they have to settle down.
Update all your apps to their latest versions, since most apps have fixes for ICS installations, and might slow your phone a bit down in some way

When you still would have problems with your ICS installations I would recommend installing a custom rom over your stock ICS installation. This did the trick for me eventually.. But depends on if you would like to have a stock or custom ICS rom.
HELP
I tried the above suggestion and done Factory Format via *2767*3855#.
Now, after entering code the device havent rebooted for the next 15mins, so i pressed the power key to reboot manually and then i got the message format failed or sumthing similar which i dont seem 2 recall.
Now, all my Smemo data & camera images is wiped... but phone numbers and messages intact.
and the originally mentioned problem is still there..... So wht is my solution now ?
I want to delete every old system files & Clean-install ICS - So Is it via kies?
Dont know much abt all this so a detailed help would be highly appreciated.

Since you did nothing wrong that could void your warranty, and you don't know too much about fixing it yourself, save yourself the hassle and let a Service center take cre of it for you .
