I cant seem to put an unlocked bootloader on my device. ive tried too many times to count using AfterOTA and Civato's guide. blackthundrs apx tool, nothing. Cant seem to get out of APX mode. Are there any other options out thereto get this bootloader on my device?
Have u checked ur apx driver in device manager.? This gave me fits for hours. Redownloading acers drivers didnt work either. Apx driver still missing. I downloaded and installed google drivers and bang, apx driver installed. After that blackthud3r's flash tool worked seamlessly. Hope this helped. :good:

Hi guys
I bricked my galaxy Spica a while a go und it was lieing around for a while no. I thought i could give it a try to unbrick it again.
The situation at the moment:
When I start it, bootloop.
Recovery isent working.
I can get it to download mode, but if i connect it to my win7 computer per usb, the pc doesent get a connection. The drivers are installed, but Odin cant connect to it.
I allso tryied AdamOutlers one click unbrick, but dident get a connection eather. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1153310
I also tried to get it connected over ADB. With the command ADB devices I ony get "list of al atached devices" followed by nothing.
Anybody here has an idea what else i could do to get the phone connected to the computer? Or do you think its a permanent brick?

May be you need to make youself a jig!!!!
All you should need is download mode after a full charge (!) and then either do a full reset (use the options in Odin to reset apart from EFS clear ;-) ) and then you should be able to use download mode properly.
For the drivers, how does it show up in Device Manager?? I had this myself a while back and it was simply that the drivers didn't match how it was showing up. After searching around for a while I found various packages on samdroid.net and the right ones for me then worked fine. Either the Kies ones, the google ones or the Nexus S drivers from tom3q's CM7 build...
i have tried to put the new ics bootloader on my tablet from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1622425 but it won't go into download mode. I can get it into apx mode but once i start any of the methods it disconnects the tablet from my computer and nothing happens. i have waited for at least 20min after each method attempt to make sure but it keeps happening. is anyone else having this problem or know of a way to fix it?

I would almost guess it's a pc driver issue. Put your tablet in APX manually, plug into the PC, and make sure Windows registers it as an APX device through Device Manager.
2 Sets of drivers you can use.
1. Acer Drivers
2. Google USB Drivers. (I use these, and install them manually)
Either should work.
Ok so I figured this is my MAIN problem not being able to flash my Acer A500 and not being able to put a custom bootloader and recovery on it. My computer all together cant recognize my Acer ONLY when its in APX mode! My Acer IS ROOTED as well. My computer will recognize it normaly when its on and plugged i and i can transfer files and what not bewteen my computer and the Acer. But once I put it in APX mode thats when things go down hill! My computer installed a driver called "Acer Bootloader-Recovery" driver the first time i put it in APX mode. But still wont seem to recognize it! BUT!! I can go into my "Devices and Printers" and their it shows i have an "APX" device connected and its under "Unspificed" devices. So no matter WHAT program I use to flash it or install a custom recovery/bootloader, it can NEVER find my Acer! Even when i try to do an EUU to fully wipe the thing back to HC it STILL wont recognize my Tablet!!!! Its SO FRUSTRATING.... since to do anything with my tablet it needs to be in APX mode....I have ALL drivers installed. I got em off the website and downloaded the "HC 3.0.2" drivers (since they dont have any drivers for my ICS 4.0.3v).... So can anyone help me on this? Ive tried almost EVERYTHING i can in the book to get this thing to flash and recognize my Acer, but just wont.....heres ALL my tablet info if this helps at all:
Tablet Serial : 12713752215
Tablet Cpuid : 037C61C9408103D7
Tablet Sbk : 0xE4531F00 0x18070000 0xF74EE402 0x11DE2003
Android Build : Acer_AV041_A500_1.033.00_PA_CUS1
Bootloader : 0.03.12-ICS
Not even the Babsector.rar file will recognize it! If anyone could help in anyway possible please do so! Im at my last resort and i really cant think of anything else to do to it....
Ok, here goes my story.
Just a week ago from the date this was posted, I decided to update my recovery (TWRP) through ROM Installer. Surprisingly, I didn't see TWRP at all in the "Recoveries" section of the application. Stock, ClockworkMod Touch, regular Clockworkmod (no touch), and unofficial Clockworkmod were available - from what I can remember. I decided to use Clockworkmod (no touch) to install Paranoid Android. Coming from OmniROM, I factory reset and flashed the .zip.
Flashing ended in error with Status 7. A while before I had used ClockworkMod Touch to try another ROM and had no such issue. I ignored the error and restarted my tablet hoping that it would still boot fine. It rebooted, gave me the Google logo for about 5-10 seconds and automatically rebooted into recovery.
I saw a bypass for Status 7. Removing some lines from the updater-script was the solution. Having no access to my Nexus 7 storage, this bypass is unusable
I tried flashing a new recovery using flashboot fastboot. After verifying that I had my drivers installed (Universal ADB by Koush), I opened up adb in the command line (Windows) as an administrator. I could not see my device. I tried the drivers from Asus, multiple USB 2.0 ports, and a different USB cord, but same results. I tried on a different computer. Still no detection.
Systems used: Windows 8.1, Windows 7 (x64), Windows 7 (x86)
I tried using Wug's Toolkit and used Flash Stock + Unroot, since it didn't need USB Debugging enabled. Same results...
I also tried plugging in another Android phone (LG Optimus Dynamic II) to see if Windows would recognize it. Windows recognized it, installed drivers automatically, and was recognized in ADB immediately. This practically unknown phone (XDA doesn't have a section for it yet) could be recognized, but my world famous Nexus 7 2012 can't be seen.
I have absolutely no idea of what to do now...
Are you on the bootloader screen when trying to use fastboot?

Yes. Every time I use fastboot, I am in the bootloader.
I'm not new to this at all, so say whatever you need to ^^
The main problem is my PC not recognizing my Nexus 7 through adb. Again, I have used multiple cables with no success.
The computer I am using for this runs Windows 7 x64. I have only tried using USB 2.0 ports to connect my tablet.
Thank you!
Might try deleting the drivers and starting over. I had some issues with adb drivers for both the N7 and the kindle fire on windows 7 as well, but eventually got both working by doing this several times.
I'm assuming you ticked the option for softbricked when trying the flash stock option? If not try again and check that option.
This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796 has a section on driver installation with good info and links too.
Hope that helps. Best of luck man, getting the adb drivers working properly seems to be finicky sometimes in my experience, and i'm no stranger to PC and software troubleshooting either.

Hello, a few weeks ago i got my OP 6t. Due to my positive experience from my previous phones (LG G3 and G5) and what i heard from OP i tried to flash twrp and planned to install magisk. I followed the instructions here on xda to unlock the bootloader, it got recognized as device in adb and i could reboot it into the bootloader, but then it didnt recognized it in fastboot, it looks like im missing some sort of drivers, because when im in fastboot in the win 10 device manager its called "android" with a yellow triangle, i tried multiple guides already, but i had no success. Its the unbranded version with 8 gigs and 128 gig. I can provide more info if needed. Help would be very appreciated.
Did you follow funkwizard's guide in the guides/news/discussion forum? It's stickied at the top.
Anyhow, if you followed the guide, he provides this link (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L7EZGx5mgeQYXO19Vsp9FWu9GXhF45Qs/view?usp=drivesdk) for the OP6T drivers that need it be installed.
He then provides this link (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-uWQn-oHu_ROuDVCzIyrExoRbsSBYTtU/view?usp=drivesdk) to update your ADB/fastboot to the latest version.
Complete both of those steps and your phone SHOULD be recognized in fastboot. Good luck.
I have read his complete thread and im still stuck with the same problem. I deinstalled all phone related driver and only installed the one from the thread, opened the command prompt via admin and under device manager is still the yellow triangle beside the android device. I tried to install the driver manually via the google universal driver, but windows never found any compatible drivers.
And just to be certain, do you have USB Debugging enabled in developer options?

Yupp, but i have to say that i had to tap it four to five times until the confirmation window popped up.
I had this problem few hours ago, and this is W10 fault. For me solution was that:
instal drivers from guide,
enter fastboot mode,
remove phone from device manager and unistal drivers,
replug phone,
let windows find drivers automaticly when in fastboot mode.
And that's it, fasboot comands works now.

forget all the other tips, install the Google USB drivers with the batch file by entering Y on every question. select install driver in the device manager by selecting manually install. in the list presented select on the left Google Inc and on the right the fastboot driver. finish setup and fastboot should work now
