I have a few questions. Where can I get an HD2 for a good price? It seems like no matter where I look, it's still selling for $300. Since it's a GSM phone, can I use it with AT&T by unlocking it? I have a tilt 2 but I'd really like to try this phone out, that's why I'm asking and this will definitely be a step up for me.
You can definitely pick one up for lower than 300$. If I were you I would look on craigslist in your area or even eBay. The prices of a new hd2 should be around the 250 mark maybe a little lower. You can also unlock the hd2 so you can use it with at&t. If you want a hd2 that will work with at&t 3g look for a Telstra hd2 (9193) that work great but that maybe around the 275$ mark.

lol, you can have mine for $250 shipped
I brought mine on ebay for $120. Sniped it at the last second. Normally though I've seen them sell on there about or under $175 even. You just have to wait really. Look at an odd time if you can like on a Tuesday morning bout 2am. Lol. Not a lot of people are up then bidding so you might have better luck. Plus a lot of people don't know for your best price you really should end an auction on a weekend like late Sunday when people are most likely to be online.

common man....they are all over Craigslist for $150 **mint condition** infact i am getting one today.... for a friend !!
Not real sure where you live but here in Maryland they're far and few in-between on Craigslist. But it does separate into cities so the sellers by you won't show up for me. :-(

Yes I have researched it, as you can probably tell I'm using a At&t note but I love the home button.

Pretty good deal. I love how they advertise the picture of a white i9100 for the front and the back of the real Note lol. But I've bought from them and they're legit, but my keyboard box was all beat up, the keyboard was pristine. It took them about 1-2 weeks for my keyboard order to arrive, I believe as there is so much demand for the things they sell.

Dude, ive been married almost 3 years now and I know the work-around for your issue. You order it and when it shows up at your door and she sees it you say: "baby, summer is almost here. I got this for you so you can relax by the pool and read a nice book, or listen to music, or even watch a movie if you'd like" The she gives you a big hug and a kiss and when she gets tired of the damn thing its all yours.
PS: replace pool with balcony/backyard if no pool is available.

Hmm, the description mentions LTE, is that for some other system or are they just wrong? I live in Indianapolis and I believe LTE has rolled out here already so I'd kinda like to have it on my next phone.

Those symbolise the various builds of nexii, everything except Yakju gets updates from samsung and have some minor changes
I see. How is one supposed to know which phone is which? Does it say on the box?
There are reviewers saying the one from Newegg is a Yakju build.
Also, that a few of them have arrived already opened and seemingly used (no introductory sign-in screen).
Makes me a little wary...

You are welcome. You want yakyu as it is the build that gets the updates first and directly from Google. If your device didn't come with yakyu, you can use the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit from this site to put yakyu on it quite easily. Having said that, the average person will not notice the difference between yakyu and other builds.

How can you tell? Will it say on the box? Or do you have to boot up the phone first?

You can install an app that will tell you the build info. It will not say it on the box and if you ask the seller, they will likely not know or provide incorrect info.
People on XDA prefer yakyu. Everyone else doesn't care and yakyuxw is not per se bad. Having said that, people on XDA also don't care what it comes with as they can just install yakyu using the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit.

PS: It's actually yakju and not yakyu.

I'd say the most reputable phone stores are negri and expansys. Amazon and newegg are good as well, but those are the top 2 as far as phones go.

I got mine from handcent and it got to me in 2 days from the uk with free shipping
How does the manufacturers warranty from Samsung come into play with these phones being brought from on-line retailers? Is it an American warranty or does it have to be shipped overseas for unforeseen problems?
Ebay still has their daily deal available for 479.00.

So were pre-orders for the Nexus 7 started at midnight?
I would think there to be a tremendous difference in demand between a lame ass 7" tab and a quad core 2gb mobile phone with the latest hardware priced insanely cheaper domestically than elsewhere. Insanely cheaper, period.
Never know but I don't expect the 16gb Nexus 4 to last 5min.

Why?
Only people who follow these tech sites know about the Nexus 4 here in the UK, no tv, radio, newspaper articles have been shown.
We also get stock from a totally different country to US orders.
For the mast majority, only people who go into an O2 store will know about it, and their stock differs from the playstore stock.

Assuming you're serious, spamming F5 means quickly and repeatedly pressing the F5 key on the keyboard, to constantly refresh the webpage in hopes of it letting you order the phone

I thinking the UK is going to be the easier place to get a midnight order done. There have been no ads or whatever as someone in this thread has already said. Also, here in the UK the majority of people buy off contract phones so this one isn't going to be that different. But on the flipside in the US there is a massive LTE network that you wont be able to access and that will cut the amount down quite a bit. I'm guessing they will sell a lot but I don't see it selling out...... unless they start running ads after they open the site to orders.

Got the Nexus early today from my local best buy called them and they told me a truck was coming at 5PM picked up a 32GB model with also a chromecast have any questions feel free to ask anything also willing to help for future development

Like Nburnes said, seems Best Buy started selling them early, so everyone else just followed along. I drove down from Toronto to Buffalo to grab one
Went to best buy today with no luck decided to go to gamestop just to look around and they had it in stock! Got mine with one year insurance which was cheaper than best buys insurance soviets it worked out.

I knew i should have called gamestop i think i called 5 different staples and then called 3 different best buys lol to finally get some one to tell me were getting another shipment
I ordered mine Friday from Amazon and had it Saturday delivered. So glad cause I'm leaving out of town for work and I didn't want to be chasing down stores in an unfamiliar town.
I already got a Samsung wireless charger base ordered and my Portenzo Book case preordered. Trying to find a SP now.
In the mean time I'll just baby the thing.
