How to unlock sim for T-Mobile?

I've never sim unlocked a phone before, is it possible to unlock the Atrix so I can use it on T-Mobiles edge network?

Everything is possible. But not this time.
Wait until the official Root procedure be published first. Then it may be a way to unlock the phone.
Or if you are lucky enough, then you may get the unlock code directly from AT&T.

Would they really give me the unlock code?

So my provider (rogers) uses the same bands as ATT.... would the atrix work with 3g.... or would it still need to be unlocked, and is that possible yet?

Unlocking sgs

Hi guys I have one question that maybe was already asked here,so I am sorry if I am asking stupid questions.. Anyway, I want to give my galaxy s to my brother but we are not using the same network, and my phone is locked to my network. So how safe is phone unlocking ? what is the procedure for unlocking the phone and is it shortening phones' life? Also,my brother will be using it in another country...Thanks in advance!

I've never had a problem unlocking a phone.
Just buy an unlock code online. Check eBay first.
After you have the unlock code, give the phone to your brother and when. He inserts his SIM card, he will be asked for an unlock code. Once he enters it, he can use the phone...

Interesting, I thought it was much more complicated than that.. I am in Serbia now using Vip mobile, my brother will use it on Vodaphone Malta, you think that there would be no problems if I buy code from uk ebay? Is it than unlocked for every other network in the Europe? Thanks

Just make sure that your brother's network is compatible. (AKA he uses a SIM card and that the network specs are compatible) and you should be fine...

This question has already been asked more than once. Why not use the "search" function and follow the posting rules instead of complaining about no one rushing to this thread?
The phone hasn't even been released yet. My advice is to give it a couple of weeks (at least) and let people have a look at it to see if it can be easily unlocked or not. Otherwise, you can try to deal with the carrier (or who ever you purchase your phone from) to try and get an unlock code. You usually need to be persistent and keep trying if getting the code doesn't work at first.

I bought my s4 via att full retail, called and asked about the unlocking and they said the system says it can not be locked and no est date. Rep said it prob too early to wait a month or two.

It does not work, at least not that I can find.. The menu works but I can't find any info or selectable options for the network lock.

Wasn't the option removed with the 4.1.2 version of the Note 2 - i.e. you had to downgrade to 4.1.1 to get that trick to work. If so, I'd assume that Samsung would roll the code that removed it into the S4.
Too bad - it was so easy to unlock the S3 and Note 2!

Doesn't work .... after 4.1.2 update it does not work ... you have to be 4.1.1 in order to work ...already tried it today from my customer and nope

Umm you can buy unlock for like $29.99 but after you upload a video of yourself doing it they will give you a refund of $20.00. I used http://www.FastGSM.com . Yes it works on the att i337. I just did it with one of my upgraded line.

Unlocking my ATT S4

I really want to sell my phone. I know I can get more money for it if us unlocked. Ive already googled how to unlock it and it seems pretty simple. My question is should I unlock it before its sold? Never unlocked a phone lol so sorry for this question.

I just got an ATT S4 I was planning to end my postpaid account with ATT and using prepaid.
I read in a forum somewhere that says you have a better chance of getting your non-iPhone device unlocked thru ATT international chat.
I tried numerous times with all my devices thru ATT unlocking to no avail. This time i tried the international chat just for the hell of it. Gave her my info and etc and what do know? It worked, she gave me instructions and the unlocked code. Another shocker is that this phone isn't even registered under my account.
