Audio applications - Galaxy S III General (US Carriers)

Anyone figured out how to customize the audio applications that appear in the menu bar when a headset is plugged in?

[Q] Poweramp stops playing

I don't know what's wrong but poweramp just automatically stops playing after a while with headset connected. I've tried to change some settings to no avail. Anyone can help me with this?

It's probably a bad configured task killer. Try configuring it or just uninstall it already, 2.1+ doesn't need that

I'm not using any task killer. To be precise, poweramp icon still appears on the notification bar, but I can't hear anything from the headset

Had the same problem. Try killing the native music app. That should help

I frozen connected music player, but it still doesn't work. I also notice that poweramp stops playing only when the screen is off

I think a lot of people are having this problem. Does anyone have a solution please? It has probably something to do with the custom ROMs. I'm running JellyBAM on my s3, and whenever I turn the screen on it mutes. And when I put it back off again the sound turns back on. Really annoying.
I had this problem, and it was caused by the stock task manager, it was killing the app when the screen turned off.
i had this problem and the reason...headphones cable was broken and sometimes when i move it is just stop playing.

[Q] headphone detection?

Hi, I just got my nexus 4 a few days ago. I was using Samsung Galaxy S3 before.
I was happy with the ability of SGS3 detecting headphones and shows headphone related apps (music/video players) in notification bar.
Is there any mod or apps that have such functions? Thanks!
There's an option in the sound settings menu to launch the music app when headphones are plugged in. But this is CM. Not sure if it's available in stock ROM.
I'm aware of the TouchWiz function you're referring to. The closest thing I can think of to replicate it is to use Tasker to set up a profile to change your homescreen every time you plug in your headphones.

Notification sound volume when wired

Is there a way to control it, as whenever i get a new notification while listening to music it gives me a jolt.
BTW, all volumes are already on the lower side, up to 3 notches from 0.

Bluetooth headset

When I connect my headset I don't get notifications sounds from phone speaker only on the Bluetooth... Has anyone else noticed this bug. Rooted 9.0 with ex kernel and using Textra app

That's not a bug that's how it's supposed to work if you have notifications over Bluetooth enabled.
Coming from my nexus 6 it's both headset and phone speaker... Headset options is phone and media (music) there isn't a option to turn notifications on or off that I have seen.

When I disabled media... Notifications sounds come through phone speaker (and music).. There should be away for it to work the normal way.

Yep, same for me. Didn't do it in my past 3 android devices, does it on this. Not that annoying as my watch usually
pings when it happens. Must be an early "pie" thing.
Hopefully some 9.0 custom roms will fix this issue... It's a easy fix however, they must have overlooked in testing.

Another bug present is the audio is not sync while watching a video or a game.
