Hi everyone.
I have a samsung galaxy s and was planing on selling it and buying a galaxy tab.
But before i sell i thought id see if there would be any interest in a swap as they are both around the same price new.
Would need to be the 3g model.
The phones in cracking nick only a few months old.
I stay in central scotland.
Cheers
Steven
I also had a galaxy s before. I don't regret the swap because now I can enjoy browsing the web, reading books and comics and playing games on a 7" screen, it's more comfortable. And battery life last longer. And with gingerbread now browsing the web is even more comfortable.

This has to be done in the marketplace.
Cheers.

LOL
We're all nosy buggers!
If it were me I'd go for the SGT 7.7
As for where the screen repair can be done I have no idea...maybe you could try it yourself with a little help if you can locate and buy a replacement screen!?
Maybe a bit too big for you but I've played with the GT 8.9 and it is SWEET.

ive look at that but lack of support from xda is holding me up i had a taste of ics and realy want something with that os
I'd love to get the Galaxy Tab 7.7 personally, the AMOLED screen looks great and it's still portable enough.
Price is very high though.
As for the screen, I'd buy a replacement from Ebay and fix it myself, if that is too scary, you could try a phone repair shop or something.

Agreed.
I Googled it for a laugh and saw prices of over £550
...too rich for me at the moment
I'd recommend the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. It doesn't have the AMOLED screen of the 7.7, but it's wifi, off contract, has a microSD slot, and for $400 is a good price. I currently purchased the 7.0 plus to take the place of my aging OG Galaxy Tab and I'm extremely happy. It's like my 10.1, but smaller!
Hi,
I'm actually searching a new tab too.
I have seen the Acer iconia tab A100.
But I fear that the battery will drain too fast ...
In addition I think that the screen of the A100 is worst than the galaxy tab.
I have seen the galaxy tab 8.9 but it's not the same budget ...
I would also prefer the galaxy tab 7.7 for me it would be the perfect size. But its not available in germany and toooo expensive. Otherwise it would allready be mine

great price on this tab!
Nice find! thanks
Samsung have updated their trade-in details to cover people who have recently bought the Galaxy Note 2!
I'm trading in my old S2 for a shiny Galaxy Tab! Saves me selling the S2 on ebay.
Details here:
http://www.expansys.com/samsung-trade-in.aspx
Other phones can be traded in too.
Pity the N7000 isn't listed as one of the trade-in models
Yeah I noticed this the morning I got mine. Although now because they except more types of phone each phone is valued. For my S2 they would give £170, £180 or £190 discount towards a Tab depending on which one. 7" would then cost £30 after the £170 reduction, I have seen the Tab 2 7" selling new on ebay for £160 and can sell the S2 for over £180 easily (£185 trade in at asda when I was checking).
It might be worth checking with your personal requirements but could be better to do it yourself.
I picked up a Verizon S2 for a pretty good deal knowing I would never be able to root/rom it. Recently a Tab S (wifi) came up for sale for a pretty good price.
Being that the two are so similar in specs, would you get rid of the S2 for a root/rommable Tab S? PS I do not need the LTE capabilities.

It all depends on usage. One is a landscape device the S2 is portrait.
I have the Tab S and a Tab A and Tbh even though the Tab S is much better specs I usually grab the Tab A as I prefer the format for internet use.

As the S2, (8" at least,) is still the most up to date Samsung tablet and still gets security updates, I wouldn't swap for something older.
As others have said, depends on what you are looking to do with it.
nope
