Galaxy S2 solid combination(Rom+ mods+ tweaks+ kernel+ themes) - Galaxy S II General

Hello Everyone,
I started this thread to know more what people prefer for this fantastic xda community from our god galaxy s2.
My intention is to provide beast and best sgs2 rom with the stable and best tweaks and themes coupled with best sound experience and battery performance.
Let me know if this is any duplicate thread and I shall delete it.
I need a discussion which shall help me to gather or develop some good things for our sgs2 community.

My best combination so far is latest cm9 + beats audio 1703 + sgs3 fuju tweaks + HTC sense clock mod + sgs3 addons + voodoo louder(paid app) + abyss kernel - Apollo player + power amp(paid app)..
This is by far the best for me

Appreciate effort but this is a development forum. Discussions go in general. Questions go in Q&A.

I will be moving this ti General as it is not a development thread. That being said I will keep an eye on the thread, if it turns in to a "X>Y" thread getting locked.
Cheers

Thanks and I am still in progress of compiling rom . I am still getting some unexpected errors.I hope this fixes soon.

Hello Everyone,
As promised my first custom rom is ready to be uploaded.I personally have tested all aspects of it so far and everything looks rock solid.
Here are the changelogs for version 0.1.
Note:This custom rom is currently for indian users based on official firmware 4.0.3 xwlp7 ddlp9.
1) Removed almost all bloatwares
2) zipaligned and deodexed
3) sgs3 fuju tweaks
4) sgs3 launcher as default
5) custom boot animation enabled
....and many more cant remember.
Some custom apps which i recommend you all to purchase from market are
1) Voodo Louder paid
2) Poweramp full version
3) Volume+
The stock kernel works best but if anyone needs better battery life i recommend using phenomenal extreme kernel.
The benchmark results for this tested rom were fpund to be 6240 on antutu.
I have almost found this rom to be on par as checkrom...
...Rom uploading is in progress...

[ROM] WAKEROm v1.0WATER.!

This is a official ROM created by AnDrOpErZ TEAM. This rom uses ACS Syndicate Frozen 1.2 Tweaks, Such as status bar and a couple of performance tweaks by ACS.
More Bloatware has been removed and battery life has been slightly improved. Comes with a custom kernel and New Boot animation. This is our first ROM so show some love Android Lovers. LINKS will be up soon. Check out our blog for news and rom dowloads. This ROM IS DISCONTINUED BUT MAJOR CREDIT GOES TO MARCUSANT for creating the Acs Ics Rom which is wat we built off of.
Should be in development not in general no? I'm sure this will take off real quick with all those srf 1.2 fans =].

They did not state any details. Also, the srf tweaks are just old versions of generic tweaks and it did not have a unique status bar (weird that the op says it uses the srf status bar).

I bet you have to sign up to have privilages to see rom section.
And why in the name of all things oats & apples would you post a rom thread in "general"?

Sorry :/
Hello Guys sorry for the late post. This rom is indeed an actual rom. We are a new user to XDA and accroding to them, We have to have at least 10 post before we can post in the Dev. Thread. Am i wrong.? I cant post the link on here because of the posting rules. This rom is built off of EI22, But we have tested on ECO5 and EB13 and it does work. We replace the link on our blog for you users having trouble finding the ROM section. We apologize for the Issues you may have. Check out our blog again and the link should be on the home page. Heads Up: It is a 4shared link and 4shared does require that you have an account. So please be mind of that. Thank You.
Explanation.!
And to all you guys keep asking why am i posting in the GENERAL thread. Its because i cannot post in the DEV. thread until i accomplish 8-10 post. We are new to XDA and are rookies when it comes to there guidelines and how there site RUNS. Just give us some time to gain knowledge of the site and i promise you, we will have everything on point.
Well sadly you all are 2 official OTA releases behind the curve and there is 1 leaked non-OTA release which is the most recent build.

We Know that. We've already researched the ACS Syndiacte Status Notes. But not all builds run properly on One's device. Actually some updates can screw up the phone. We built off the most stable update, And tweaked the performace, thats all. I know alot of people are looking for the next big thing. But there are some that are satisfied with what they have. This is only tweaks to what they have to make it run more smoothly. We are making ROMS now with the latest builds.

Our latest ota was el30 so technically that would be the most stable build... still though, great job! Always good to have choices... might flash this later just for giggles... going "old school" on em! Lol
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2
Actually i flashed the latest build on my Epic 4g. I even used QBKing77 instructions and it wrecked my phone. i have CWM 3.1.0.1. I currently run CM9 and it runs perfect. But since the latest build wrecked my phone it encouraged me to make tweaks on the most stable build for MY PHONE, And many others who are having issues with the latest build. Dont get me wrong i love The ACS Team's work, Its pure genius. Thats why im using some of there tweaks and not others. But anways thanks for the support and happy flashing. ^____^
Wow! EB13!! I suddenly have an urge to go out and drink a Pepsi-Clear while listening to "hair metal" music. Very Retro!!
I welcome new devs with open arms; but I won't touch a new Rom until Kennyglass or Marcusant say its clean...

Remember people this is only our first rom. Perfection isn't the key. Its just basic changes for smoother performance for people who prefer the EI22.builds. We are working on 3 different roms right now and one we are starting from scratch.
Thanks for the support.

I'm not sure you're going to be significant gains in battery life with CM10 in its preview stages (I certainly haven't, and i'm quite conservative), but i've been using Siyah 1.3.8a since the latest preview build and it's brought improvements across the board for me, most notably in speed & audio.
To be honest, I wasn't overly taken back with the animations & 'Project Butter' thus far but that's all changed with the introduction of Siyah! : )
Closed, "best" anything threads are unwelcome.
Also there is a damn CM10 discussion thread, use it.

Looking for a good ROM

Hey guys, how are you?
I bought my SGS3 a few month ago. Since than I've been constantly looking for the best ROM.
I want a ROM with very good battery life, and I also want it to run smoothly.
Version 4.1.2 or above.
Also, if a kernel is necessary please tell me which kernel to use.
Thank you very much,
Orel/Xeiss.

What phone did you had before? I've currently a iPhone 4S and I'm looking to get a galaxy s3 because I'm sick of apple -.- was it easy getting used to? I also plan to install a custom rom as my old HTC was rooted
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Unfortunately best ROM threads are banned on XDA and this will be locked shortly , the reason being a certain ROM might be good for you may not be good for someone else.
All as you will be told is to go and try many different one and see which Is best for you.
Good luck.

I've had a Mini Galaxy before (Not the one that was just released)
I personally prefer Android than iOS. It wasn't really hard to get used to, In 1-3 days you'll become a master
If someone would suggest me to get an iPhone 5 instead of my SGS3, he won't live anymore
Ho watch some YouTube videos and decide. Good luck!
BTW thabka for telling me Motogp1, I'll do it. Moderators, if you can please lock this thread without banning me if would be great, I'm new here and I really don't want to get a ban right off the bed Thanks.
Just another last question, what's the difference between the forums Android Development, and Original Android Development?

I would suggest starting with "Android Development" section for ROMs. Try them and find which suits you best.

You can try Ultima ROM. It looks and feels good.
You may try siyah, perseus, boeffla, galaxsih kernel and suit yourself.
Also look for wanam's deodexed stock roms.
Took me about a week to get used to from iPhone was rooted trying custom roms very easy but figured I didn't need all that so now just on stock 4.1.2 and loving it battery life is great.

[Q] Best rom

okay I have the Nexus 7 and I am looking for the best rom the most stable smoothest with tablet mode if available I have tried smoothrom ,paranadroid in on droid but I'm not I'm satisfied so if anybody could recommend a new rom for me and that 1 that's table and frequently updated.sorry voice to text errors
Sent from nexus 7 rooted
my advice:
take time to read the forum rules, before someone fight you away!
I don't know how much you've used xda but people get really pissed about these posts. My advice is read the rules and watch what you post. But to answer your question (and what the mod will probably say) you have to try different roms because everyone has their own favorites and their opinion on best.

Did not mean anything just asking am new to root and wondering how to choose my own kernel using any ROM without limitations if that is possible some don't work together or am i making a mistake ..sorry again for misleading post.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
Asking what the best rom is is like asking what's my favorite food to a random stranger. I would say you go to the Android development or Original development sections because all of the roms are there. Also, it depends on preference really, some roms offer customizability, while others are offering smoothness. Still, it is up to you.
I really like mlaws dirty ROMs they are stable fast and have all the current mods kernels and gapps all in one package.
Read around and see what ROMs have features you find useful try it if you don't like it flash another, but I would at least test it for a day or so .

The best way to find a rom, is to read the Rom threads, and find one that works for you.
Everybody has different opinions, and different roms work better on different devices.
Also, Best Rom threads are Taboo at XDA
