Hello,
I've done a big search to solve this issue, but none that helped. I just bought a Note 3 32GB version Verizon, and I rooted it immediately and added Jelly Beans Build 4. I've barely put anything into internal memory. I look at the Storage and it says I have 29GB used up as Miscellaneous Files. (To which I clicked on and it at most lists 50mb of miscellaneous files) I then used DiskUsage and scanned and saw that my internal SD card only has 2493 MB of storage total. There's some type of issue with it that doesn't allow me to use up all of my 32 GB of internal memory. Could it be the root or rom preventing it?
How do I fix this?
Now that I think about it deeper. I did use Safestrap to root it and I had to create my own partition. Could it be the fact that I just created the partition with the default settings (as in the amount of memory used)? Should I have raised this to 32gb? I think Default was 2.5GB.
To further try to solve this issue, is there a way to increase the amount of data allocated to this partition? Or is there a way to copy everything in this partition to a new one that I would create at 32GB? I would rather not have to restart and redownload everything again, etc.

Your problem seems to be that you need to read a little more - you are not in the correct forum, this is NOT the Verizon Note 3 forum!
Oh I'm sorry, I Thought this was a general Note 3 forum. And I thought this would be a general Note 3 issue, but I guess it seems to be a rooted and ROM issue.
Your search failed you. Put the rom in the stock slot and your memory readings will be correct. Otherwise, ignore them.

Safestrap does not show your free space correctly, it has to do with the way Safestrap creates its partitions. If you use a file browser or switch to your stock ROM you will be able to see the correct amount of space. If you want to maximize your free space and if you want everything to show correctly the only way to do it is to flash the ROM to your STOCK slot. There have been numerous posts about this and I advise you search a little more. Anyways, it isn't anything abnormal and it's perfectly fine. Not something to worry about.
Has anybody else run into issue with running out of space ???
I just reset my razr M last week to factory because i kept having issue with memory running out. i reset it last week and only reinstalled what i had to deleted a bunch of crap as well as rooting it since i was taking it back to factoory and losing all my setup i figured id root it so i could reset again and not lose stuff but now today it says im out of memory again and clearing cache of a few apps (which is how i was fixing it before reset ) doesnt seem to be working the cache isnt full on anything and i cleared the ones that did have anything built up.....
Any ideas ?? it worked a week without problems and i have plenty of space on SD card if only i could move apps to sd card ???
Any help would be great

Do a safe boot. Power up & hold the vol down key, once you see the first splash logo, all the way home.
But I think you need a RSD lite restore. LOOK around with a real browser. I posted a House of Moto link in the general forum. There is one "stock restore" in my stickys
FDR doesn't always clear all the data. Do like Avi said and do a complete restore. Also, the phone doesn't have a lot of memory, so get rid of any apps that you don't use. There's no point in having hundreds of apps if you never use them. I DL less than 20 apps on both my phones and most of them are for root functions and a few "useability" apps.
If you have any big games (like Gameloft and EA games for example), they sometimes use gigs and gigs of space so you don't even need very many apps to fill up your /data partition.
What I do is move the gigs of data off the /data partition and to physical sdcard using the Directory Bind app. You will need to be rooted to use the app.
I seem to have lost some of the little 16gb's I had. seems like after pressing security mode I am only showing 10.3GM of internal memory. Anyone know what up with this? I have tried searching the forum, but getting error msg's trying to find the answer....
I do have on safestrap, but think this happened befor i installed it. not 100% sure.
10.3GM or 10.3GB? And that seems normal you don't get to use ALL 16GB. The "lost" space is reserved for system
are you referring to "private mode" with the security mode you are talking about? yeah it seems to format a little over 4GB for the "private" encrypted folder, I recently rooted and installed cyanogen and now I seem to have lost that 4GB completely it only shows 11.3gb of total internal memory. If you turn private mode on and plug into a computer does it show 4GB approximately for private and the other 11.x for internal storage? trying to find out if I wipe everything in twrp if I'll brick my phone or be able to reformat internal storage to one partition and have all 16 back minus the little bit that gets eaten up but should still be 14.5 15gb of total storage space granted it wont all be available.
Hey I have a weird issue with my internal storage lately and cant figure out what the issue is or find anything really online about it.
I have a Galaxy S5 with Android 5.0. The problem right now is, that im having way more internal storage occupied than it should. If im connecting my phone to the PC, it says that 2,04 GB are free from 11,6 GB (so around 9 should be full). This is ridiculous though, as currently I only have a few apps installed and some fotos. The weird thing also is, if I copy all the files to my computer, its only 101 MB ??!? When im looking in the storage menu, it says that 9 GB are from applications (also listing internal ones), but how can this be? Is there anyone having a fix or a link where this was already described maybe?
did you try emptying the cache?

If it says 9GB is taken from apps, then find out which ones are using up most of the room and remove them...
Android itself takes up a fair whack, along with touchwiz and bloatware cr4p
Okay I managed to remove some of the data from google services apps, like chrome and maps, but actually a phone restart after that freed a lot of internal storage again. I cant remember having this happen like that before.

You only can copy 101MB from your phone due to file name restrictions...the file path is too long somehwhere in the Android folder app data, use smart switch to backup and it'll backup all used space (idk about app data)
I'm having some issues with trying to figure out how to free up space on my S5. I recently had to encrypt the phone to keep getting school email and it erased everything, however I'd been having issues in the past with low data notifications even though my apps and files are only taking up 1-2 of 12 gb total.
I went through root access and I've gone through a few menus looking for large files and I can't find anything. At this point, I tried doing a factory reset back into cyanogen and that didn't erase those files either.
I'm really confused as to why this is happening and would appreciate any help. I stopped updating nightlys because my phone was stable enough for day to day use and I was happy with it.
Can anyone please help advise me on how to get back to baseline since factory reset didn't clear the space? Or point me to a few threads to try to figure it out. I've spent all day trying to figure this out and I'm getting nowhere.
Edit: Internal storage says 11.17 of 11.58 gb used. Apps are only taking up 888mb. I feel like android system files are taking up the rest due to some error, but I can't figure out what's doing it. Already did a factory reset and dalvik cash reset. I lost all my apps when the phone encrypted and it says there's insufficient storage to add any now even though they were there this morning.
Thanks so much!
I managed to clear out enough space to download DiskUsage and in /data I have files marked lost+found that are taking up about 10 gigs of space!
I tried to delete the files through the program since I've read that these are safe to delete, but I get an error message saying that the files don't exist.
So I made some progress, but I'm still stuck! Does anyone have any insight? It seems like there's a lot of corrupt data here for some reason.
