Does anyone know where to get the Samsung Test Video. Wanna show people pop-up play but AT&T seems to have taken it out.
Pop up play is still there. You have to use the built in video player. There is a little button on the bottom right corner to shrink the video

Yep. But like me he was wondering why Samsung didn't include the nature video. And where we might be able to download it.

Anyone else notice that movies are playing in full screen after the update. I really disliked that there wasn't a full screen option in videos. I used rockplayer to make it fullscresn but now there's no need. Another lol thing that came in the update that I like a lot

Personally, I prefer mVideoPlayer. It lets you either fill the screen entirely or to the aspect ratio. It also has support for captions and it remembers the brightness you set while watching videos.
Cool. I'll check that one out. I'm down to try all of them to see what works best for me

All you had to do was place your finger over the video playback.....n a pop up promps you if you want to play the video (any video from any where) in full screen. This option was there from day one

So it finally came out but only supports a limited number of handsets. On the official blog they say there is no consistent video playback mechanism on Android so they have to test with each phone. Seems dumb that they wouldn't test on a Tegra 2 phone right out of the gate, since that would essentially mean compatibility with ANY Tegra 2 device...
APK
Anyone have the apk? Would like to test on my atrix.
i bet you it has far less to do with playback on each device, and more to do with locking down the video feed for each device.
I think most if not all the supported handsets right now have qaulcomm chipsets.

this page has a link to the apk

Qaulcomm was supose to have hardware level drm first in future chipsets

Meh, don't care about netflix anyway.
Working great on my buddys Evo 4g. Still a little choppy compared to the iphone but its a start. Hopefully with my faster data and dual core the atrix will handle it.
They got it to work on nook color by just editing the build.prop
ro.product.model=HTC Vision
ro.product.manufacturer=HTC
And then rebooting.
Has anyone else tried this?
Ya didn't work for me
neone else?
There is another thread about this. I played with the build.prop on atrix, comparing it to my evo with cyanogen7. I copied all relavant info I could think of, but it didn't work, and it broke swype. There are a lot more fields in the atrix than the evo.
With no edits I can load the app and manage my queue, but I get an error when I try to play. After I edit, the app never even loads.

Care to elaborate? You don't mean that you can stream Netflix on an Atrix, do you (and if by some chance yes, how?)?
On my atrix it says your "device is not supported "

I am using that also and have the same problem. It's better than nothing though.
This modified APK works great for me. I just watched something over 3G, we only have 1-2 mbits here in DC and it looked GREAT, no pixelation or artifacts.
The picture is using the full display but there is a quarter inch green bar at the bottom. However, the bar is just overlaying the picture like a filter. It might be where the CC would be. You can still see the picture underneath.
So great quality for me even over 3G, full screen with a green bar at the bottom. Once that bar is gone, thats it I would say.
Update: ok, sometimes, objects or parts of the picture have a green or pinkish shadow. But it is definitely still watchable.
Yeah I tried the modified app as well. Green bar on bottom. Lots of pink and green in the picture.
Glad at least we have SOMETHING..hopefully someone will fix the issues soon.

Can you please be more vague?
Anyone know of an app that basically disables the touch? My son watchers his mickey mouse videos on my tablet but has a tendency to smack the screen and pause it. Been searching but can't find anything that suites my needs. Any suggestions are very welcome

Try this if your rooted if you are not rooted I'm thinking you can't do anything about your status bar.
And to disable your whole screen I'm not really sure ill do some digging around.

MX Video player has an option to lock the screen during video playback, once locked the only way to unlock it is by touching a button in the top left corner. You could use this in conjunction with honeybar.
Good looks Jon I didn't know that thanks man

Hi,
So xbmc on the ouya is pretty much the best experience i´ve gotten so far on a small setup! love it.
But when i install the netflix apk, its really hard / impossible to navigate with the D-pad, plus the quality of the stream seems to be aimed at mobile phones. Anyone gotten a better APK where you can browse with the d-pad and get a good quality stream?
And youtube, i managed to install the youtube APK, and the streams are looking great, but i cant login, plus it seems i just find the stock mobile version, ive heard that the google tv is alot better, but does it enable log in as well?
Sorry for the wall of text, but these are the 2 missing features i really want.
I have installed the tv versions of both apps and they are easier to navigate. No problem logging in but I do have the google store mod.
Netflix quality can be poor at times.

This was the same version I had already. It still doesn't work well with controller without touch pad and quality still sucks for a tv unfortunately
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Did you ever figure this out? My wife hates me for putting for taking out our ****ty streamer and replacing it with the Ouya. On Netflix, can't scroll through right or left when picking when you want to watch and can't scroll down to select episodes of TV shows when there is more than 5-6.

The easiest solution I have found it just have a bluetooth mouse. You can just drag the screen up and down, etc as if you were touching the screen. It works pretty well.
Or you can use the touchpad of the controller to scroll. Double tab and then drag up. It's a bit sluggish but it works.
The only problem I have is that the playback stops if the controller turns itself off.
using netflix apk 1.8.1
i got the 1.8.1 working with no playback issues, and with some use of ouya control, does not pause when the control turns off.
My only gripe is the subtitles are very small... can any dev can do a modified netflix 1.8.1 apk with bigger fonts?
YouTube video gets captured as an image instead of a video or video link. Didn't get it to play on scrapbook at all.

You need to revert back to you tube old version if you want that functionality, by going to application info and clicking uninstall updates.

S Note does play/import YouTube video. That could be a work around, depending on how you want to organise your video's.

AHaaaa. . Thanks!!
Does anyone know the version that did work with scrapbook before the update. I have 4.0.23 and I like it cause when in landscape mode I still have the slider at the bottom. When I updated to the new version of YouTube it doesn't have the slider.
Take a sec and hit thanks if I helped or if you're in a good mood!
