Maybe I'm not up to date but I didn't see where to add dropbox for the 50GB. I had to get it from Google play but saw no notification about the 50GB.
AT&T isn't supporting the free 50GB Dropbox..
My friend, I am so sorry to be the one to inform you of this but AT&T opted out of giving you this for free. They were worried you might actually use your data plan to use it (you know, those GB's you paid for).
Google for a link if you're interested, I guess I'm too "new" to post a link.

Like the title says.
It says you have to pay $20/year. I've had it since day one. I paid like $1 for an album and they gave me 20GB for free. I just checked, and they have upgraded it to unlimited. Don't know if that will work for new customers or if they just grandfathered people in.

Got to love competition...that is better than what they were offering and not too bad of a deal for people who regularly buy music from them,
Here's some competition for y'all..........drum roll..................
AudioGalaxy is a free app with free service with a song limit of 200,000 songs with no ##gb storage limits the only catch is you hafta leave your computer on for it to work but you, your gf, mom, brother........all can listen to it on different devices at the same time from anywhere in the world as long as you can get internet connection on your phone & its as clear as the files themselves are & its amazingly fast
Leaving your computer on all the time would probably use more than $20 worth of electricity in a year. And if your home connection goes out, Audiogalaxy won't work. Also, if your hardrive(s) fail you are screwed. Amazon lets you download everything so you have a very good backup. The only benifit that I see to Audiogalaxy is that you don't have to upload anything. Then again, you only have to do that once with Amazon/Google and the upload app does all the work.
below is from me looking. So looks like I can have unlimted till next year and then I will get downgraded unless I pay $20 then..so will it just delete all my music off their cloud or I just cant get it to it?
Your plan will end on March 29, 2012.
Your storage plan will automatically downgrade to the free 5 GB plan. For $20.00 per year, you can keep your plan and continue to have 20 GB of storage without interruption.
Your plan includes
I get kind of leery when I get something for free for a time, then have to pay for it.
I understand that I the Note comes with 50G on DropBox free for 2 years.
Checking their web page I can't get a clear answer on how much it would cost me after that.
I keep in mind that right now you can get a 8G card for about $6, and should be able to get 32G for about $10 in two years.
Plus even in these times of inflated HD prices I can get 2T for about $70.
9.99 per month for 100gb
19.99 per month for 200gb
49.99 per month for 500gb
Not worth it for most I would think.
I also have the free 50gb but also have 10gb on top of that. You can get a lot free space by referring, and tweeting.
Dropbox is not the same as having an micro sd card. Any file I'm working on is automatically available to open my phone, tablet or desktop. It saves me the trouble of having to manually transfer to each device.
It's not really meant as permanent storage for your files, just a way for all your devices to have access to them. I still save the files from dropbox to my local memory using "file sync", which is also automatic.
If your looking for a place to store your media files such as music, Google Music is free for 20,000 songs.(does not go by size of file, only by number of tracks)

I don't want pay or rent extra storage.
Now I have 7gig on drop box. Max is 16gig. I need guys to sign up at
Mod Edit...
Why they don't offer more? For free.
Box, I have 50gig. But no good for pictures.
I think Google give 5 gig. Why 5 gig only...?

Is this post really what I think it is? "Why won't people give me more things for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
Because this actually costs them money to offer and they're businesses, and you don't deserve anything from them? That's the way things work. The customer pays money in exchange for services. If you don't pay, then you can bet that anything you get is in return for some of your data.
Some services offer more space, like Bitcasa or Bittorrent Sync*, but everything has a trade off of some sort.

Not everything can be free mate. Since you already have 50GB at box, why not use that? I'm not sure what you mean that it's not good for pictures, whats wrong with it?
Since you don't want to pay for anything, it doesn't leave you with that many options does. If I were you, I would just pay for one of them and stick with it. Google drive is really cheap with only 4.99 a month... And that gives you a 100GB of space.
I don't know how you only have 7gb on dropbox. I have 52gb just from sharing with one person I think. Google drive gmail and Google plus offer a total of 15gb and seem to work best for me.

Do anyone knows if the 50gb dropbox offer will renew to the people who already got it last year or prior with note 2, s4 or so?
Because if I login with my account that only have 1 year more and I am not gonna get an extension of 2 or 1+2 years again, I'll use another account.
thanks!

You need to use another account! Thats at least what I had to do. Plenty of 3rd party programs out there that can work with 2 dropbox accounts + my Note3 seems to remember both logins, meaning that I just need to click "use another account" and it logs on automatically to the second.
So, they don't extend the time?
what a shame
What if you just have a normal dropbox account? Will it just add the 50gb after you do the steps or would you have to create a brandnew account?
Suki
If you have a normal account you dont need to create a new account. Dropbox will email you on how to activate that free 50gig
On a side note im also interested how to add the 50gig to my current free 50gig (from my S3 update)

Ahh i see! Thank you!:good:
Right now I have 76.5 gigs for my Dropbox account and when I use this offer it should go to 126.5 gigs lol. Another good one is Box, they started me with 50 gigs free and the interface is the nicest of any cloud storage I've seen.
After reading dropbox forums, samsung offer only works one time per account, so if you login with an account that already got in the past the 50gb offer, you will lose it and your account will not be extended in time or upgraded in size.
Hello I bought this Saturday the Note 4 N910H in Mexico. I must confess I am very happy with it.
The only important issue I have had so far is the missing "gift" of 48 Gb from dropbox. I just wanted to confirm if anyone with this note version is getting the additional space. Also, I wonder if this version can get, somehow, the evernote premium subscription.
In case it could matter matter , I also got the 48 Gb from the original note 10.1 two years ago (which has recently ended for me)
Thanks
I have the same issue. Like you my old 50GB limit from the note 2 ended about 2 weeks ago. They actually gave me 5gb when it ended which is more than enough for me so I'm OK with it.

5? Damn it!! they gave me 3!
So you think the reason we did not get the 48 gb again is because we had it in the past?
Acording to what i have read extra 48 gig is only for new accounts. I have 50 gig account with my note 2 which will expire soon and I opened second new account for note 4. Also some carriers opted out of promotion. Now im running two different dropbox accounts on my pc.

You didn't get the extra space for Dropbox, because you have redeemed it before from your Note 10.1 using the same account although it already expired. That's what dropbox customer service told me when I didn't get the extra space from my Note 3.
The only way you can get the extra space is by creating a new dropbox account.

Thank you very much for your reply. Just one thing... When I got the additional space two years ago the dropbox account was not "new"...
Uhm they should warn about this to the note users...
Thanks again
yes the account doesn't have to be a new account, but the account must haven't redeem extra space bonus from Samsung
