Expansys won't ship it from UK to USA - Galaxy S III General

I just placed an online order at Expansys.com and chose to ship it here to the USA. The order went through fine, but immediately afterwards I got an "order cancelled" email.
(I'm trying to order the Pebble Blue one)
I called them and they said that Samsung won't allow them to ship it to the USA.
So, I guess I have to wait a few more days until it hits the expansys-usa website

Maybe send an email to Clove or Handtec see if they would deliver to you from the UK? They don't have any problem sending the S3 down to Australia.

Did you try Expansys USA? Or you currently doing it on Expansys UK? That doesn't make sense, I got mine from Expansys USA no problem.

Did you get a Pebble Blue? Maybe Samsung wants to that product delivered in the UK first since they have been waiting so long.

Mine was rejected too. And please dont buy from Expansys. I had so much problem. They never reply to emails. Had to make some international calls to settle and the phone bills is a bomb.
thats wierd, i just ordered 2 items this afternoon and my code worked fine. it was on the USA site, i dont know if it matters where you live? Also Expansys is the same company that processes orders for the HTCAccessoryStore.Com i dunno if most of you know that. They are coming from the same company that HTC uses for their official accessory store.

I ordered an item from expansys on nov 11th. Website said "instock" on it. Got a conformation email from both paypal and expansys for the item the next day. I even checked expansys's website 2 days after my order and that item still showed "instock". 3 days after that they (expansys) send me an email that its out of stock but will ship now on nov 24th. Today is the 25th and no notice or anything from them. They also have not replyed to my emails. What a way to do business.

I ordered the Celio Corp's Redfly on 19Nov. The payment was made through bank transfer the following day. In the order confirmation email a Singapore/Hongkong/UK phone numbers were given. I called the Singapore phone number on Monday 24Nov but it was perpetually engaged. I managed to get through to the Hongkong number on Tuesday (yesterday). At that point I was then informed that I short paid by UKL12.00 which was not made clear in the order form (at the web-site). Meanwhile a number of emails was sent to the Singapore/Hongkong/UK offices. None was ever responded. I finally request for cancellation through e-mail at the same time asked how long would they take to process. Untill this moment no one cares to respond.
Expansys is not only unethical but very unprofessional.
Another interesting issue is that it costs differently for the same item if ordered from their various web-sites (UK/Europe, or Singapore, Hongkong.) STRANGE!!
I will never get anything from expansys ever again.
i always get my stuff from expansys. no problems yet - and i mainly use the uk one and they ship it to australia - uselly in 2-3days which is awesomly quick
Another eXpansys Horror Story
Ordered 2 items from eXpansys-USA last week. One item showed over 1600 in stock and the other showed over 200 in stock. They both stated "This product is at our central warehouse and should be shipped in 3 working days".
When I checked my order status the next day it indicated both items were out of stock. The item descriptions were correct but if I clicked on the link for either one they took me a page that stated "Product not found or is not available in this region". I also noted the item number in both links were not the item numbers I ordered. When I went to the correct pages for the items I had actually ordered they still showed plenty of stock.
At this point I emailed them and finally got a reply 3 days later in which it was stated "The unit is in transit from our central warehouse and will ship later this week." I sent a reply asking what that statement meant and asking if they ship FROM their central warehouse TO the customer or what. So far no reply and I really don't expect one.
Based on this experience, and quite a few similar "reviews" I read here and elsewhere, it appears this is typical of them. It is very unlikely that I will order from them again. A first time customer has pretty much become a last time customer.
if your order is delayed, like my tv out cable, just call and they will at least give you free priority shipping...... a whopping 5 bucks!

You can pre order the g on Amazon now and it ships Dec. 4

But I am not sure which version it is.

Yeah, if you are a T-Mobile user here in the states, this won't do you any good unless you live closely to one of the refarmed 1900 3G areas.
Just got mine an hour ago from Amazon Germany (switching from the HTC Touch Pro2 with Energy ROM). :victory:
Amazon now has both the international and the US (supports T-mobile's 1700 MHz 3G) variants.
It is strange that Amazon is shipping Dec 4th, but Motorola isn't shipping the US variants until Dec 9th...

They had a mixup with the listing, and they had a lot of ppl asking them what versions they had.
Fortunately they modified their listing on time. Now it shows all the versions available separately. I believe they added the phone as one option and then they would ship them randomly. So that would've meant ppl getting the US variant when they actually wanted the Global one.
I will be waiting for the early buyers and see how everything fares.
I'll let post back when I get mine. I ordered a 16GB US version.
I find it annoying that Motorola does not let you cancel your order (outside of one hour of purchasing on their website) for a device that doesn't ship for a few weeks (I pre-ordered two when the link when live on their site). I would rather cancel that order and pick it up from Amazon personally.

I was unable to find a cancel option on their website, and spoke with a customer representative (before purchase) who told me cancellations must be done within one hour of purchase, even for preorders. There is a 14 day return window, but you must pay return shipping. If you are able to find a way to cancel let me know and I'll probably do the same.

I was told to call 866-289-6686 to cancel my order. I call them and it is the right number to cancel your order. I didn't cancel mine yet until my order from Amazon ships. let me know if it works for you. Wait time is about 15 minutes

I called the number provided and after talking with someone and being placed on hold for several minutes I was forwarded to the actual Ecommerce Department. I was on hold for about 20 minutes before speaking with someone within the Ecommerce Dept. They again placed me on hold for about 5 minutes. After checking the status of my order, I was told that it cannot be cancelled because it has already been sent to the warehouse for shipment?? They told me to "Reject the package" when it is delivered and when they receive it back I will be refunded...
I'll see how this goes and post my experience. It is unfortunate that Motorola does not have a better order cancellation system.

Yeah I did the same and they wouldn't let me cancel. Oh well, if I get the device by this week, then I guess the extra tax I spent on is worth it I suppose.

Suppose you are not home when it's delivered? The only way it could be rejected if a signature is required and I never signed for my other phone in the past. You would think they would make it easier, geeze,!

If you are not home when it is delivered, you can take it to the nearest FedEx store and tell them that you were not home when it was delivered and that you wish to refuse delivery. They will then return it to Motorola.
Also, you can leave a note on your door stating that you are refusing delivery of the package; just print you name and the date on the note.

Find it hard to believe it was already sent for shipment if it was the US version. When I talked to Motorola today, they still told me that my order was absolutely not shipping any sooner than the 9th. So I finally just canceled... I'll give Amazon a try. Worst case, I saved the money on tax and will have to wait a couple more days if Amazon has their shipping dates backwards as I think they might (though currently my order is still listed as shipping on the 4th). Worth it to go with the guaranteed customer service of Amazon in my opinion.

Amazon is now showing December 11th when the US version will be available and the 4th for the Global. they had the ship dates reversed. Glad I couldn't cancel my order from Motorola. LOL

If you have any plans to use this phone in the future with T-Mobile, it's highly recommended that you get the US version. It contains all of the wireless frequency bands required to get data on T-Mobile.
If you plan to use it only with AT&T in the US, and plan to use the same device when travelling abroad, then the Global version would work better for you as it is more compatible with carriers in other countries.

I think that's what all of us are afraid of: Amazon not receiving stock day 1. FYI, Google Play store is still showing the Nexus 9 as shipping on the 3rd. The obvious (big) difference is shipping: $3.99 vs $18.99 for next day delivery.

I feel the same as @danlo. I think I will wait until I hear back fro Amazon CSR Christopher. I have been a prime member since it started and I order a lot through Amazon so hopefully that will cause them to get back to me on what is really going on and if there is a delay, how long. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I'm in Georgia. HTC e-commerce store activities are handled by an intermediary called Digital River, Inc. (DRI) who (according to their site) also handle e-commerce stores in the US for Samsug, Lenovo, Logitech, Adobe, Microsoft among many other well-know consumer tech brands (did a very brief info search). So most likely DRI doesn't have physical presence in my state, for which I got tax exempted (unlike Amazon that now collects taxes here).
This is just a standard reply they send out for pre-orders. After a set number of days passes and an item has not shipped the system sends out an email. Same thing happened to me months ahead of my PS4 shipping. If you check your order status you will see it is still set to ship on Nov. 3rd.

Glad to see that you got that message. So if there are not going to be delays win Amazon, why the "#$%"# did they have to send that e-mail alerting that "as of now we don't have a delivery date"? What's the deal with that?
(I guess I have to say that this pushed me to change stores which allowed me to save the tax charge, so at least something good came out of this mess for me)

Mine does too and i'm temped to cancel my Amazon order but I don't think it's worth $20 to not wait an extra day
I'm going to try a local store today. Have no clue if they'll have them in stock but I'm driving by the store regardless. Would rather not wait for my pre-order to ship.
I just reserved one at my local Best Buy but was not able to cancel my Play Store order. Ah well, I guess I have two of them now.

Same here, mine will ship 5th.. I don't know why it won't be shipped today
I just got the email from Best Buy that my 32GB Black Nexus 9 is ready for pickup.
I pre-ordered through Amazon on the 16th and it looks like they only have the white
so I cancelled my order this morning.
Going to get mine in bestbuy

Newegg Pre-Orders - Release Day... TODAY!

Anyone have received the confirmation from Newegg... They will send our phones today.... :cyclops:
I highly doubt they are going to ship today. They said they don't have any stock
On Newegg, the search results say 9/9, but when you click on the actual listing it says 9/10. Doubt they ship on the weekends, so it might only start the packaging process this weekend, and probably won't ship until Monday.
Just confirmed from a Newegg Rep that they don't even have stock of the phones yet. the date of 9/9 is when they will be 'released' from the manufacturer to be shipped to distributors. I am pretty bummed out.

Well, even that is what I am concerned about. The rep says they will receive stock today by afternoon. Don't know when they ship !
According to a rep at Newegg Canada:
"I show the estimated delivery time of the item is 9/9/2016 11:59:00 PM. Once we receive you item, your pre-order will be fulfilled later. "
"Once your pre-order transferred to a regular order, it normally takes 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) to process an order prior to shipping. So your order will be shipped out on 9/13."

Im leaving for the country for 2 weeks next Saturday. Hope to receive it by them .
Well my card was charged, and status moved to Packaging! Here's to hoping it actually gets shipped today or Monday...

I guess so, because I only pre-ordered a week ago.
I prordered mine on the 7th. And the headphones were still available. They better be worth it as I had to be 36.98 in taxes when I could've gotten it tax free somewhere else.
