I'm not sure how many people here know about canadian 2g/3g providers, but does any one know if the verizon droid incredible works on telus' 2g/3g network? I heard somewheres that both verizon and telus have cdma networks?
Hello,
I'm wondering if it's possible to desimlock the droid x .
I know that the Droid is only available with a verizon plan, but on Amazon, I can buy one without contract plan ( but work only with a verizon sim )....
So, if I Do that, can I root the phone to be able to use it with my sim card in belgium?
thanks for your help !
I am certainly not an expert, but I don't think you can use any type of SIM card with Verizon. I don't have a SIM card at all on Verizon, as I did when I used at&t or t-mobile
Ok ! thx !
But I'm really stupid to ask this question... I Have not see before that the Droid X is Only CDMA ... And in europe we only use 3G xD ! ...
My thread is useless.... sorry
U may use 3g but it is likely GSM, even if it is CDMA is it likely different frequency. Not trying to be an ass. Just state the facts. Sorry.

@ksizzle9
We use different freq in europe :
HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
US for Droid X :
CDMA , EVDO rev. A
EVDO is only available in US...
Most of Europe uses GSM, which is not compatible with EVDO, so EVDO will NOT work overseas.
I just need to wait a european version of the droid X ... Seems like a dream ^^

Have you seen the Milestone XT720? I know it's gsm and it may be unlocked. It's a lot like the droid X.

Hey guys,
Im so sorry if this post has a duplicate somewhere. I searched this forum for anything about this topic, but I couldn't find a solution.
So I just purchased a received my Motorola Milestone 2. It doesn't have the Verizon logo, it is the international version.
My problem is I am on the tmobile network and I can't get the 3G network to show. My phone only picks up the edge network. I know that the milestone 2 supports the 1900/2100 band and according to tmobile, the broadcast their 3G on the 1700/2100 band.
y question is can the milestone 2 receive the tmobile 3G band and if not, is there a driod phone that can. I like the phones that have the slide out qwerty keyboard.
Thank you 4 ur replies
There is not a version of the Milestone that works on T-Mobile's 3G.
TMobile uses the AWS band, it requires 2100 for the downlink and 1700 for the uplink. A phone that supports "2100" will not work. It must specifically support AWS.
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this issue. Will the unlocked GSM T8686 Trophy work with verizon? Every google search seems to say that the Trophy is GSM + CDMA. I just want to know before I purchase this.
The Verizon version (HTC mwp6985) is both CDMA and GSM. The phone is capable of doing both, for roaming and international use. You would probably have to call Verizon to verify if they would alow the T8686.
The answer is NO.
Verizon require a special version of the HTC Trophy that's CDMA capable.
A regular HTC Trophy is GSM only.
Verizon's HTC Trophy is CDMA + GSM.
does anyone know if unlocked Telstra Razr M will work with T-mobile re-framed 1900MHz 3G? according to the spec it show UMTS 850/900/1900/2100 on that phone. which i think it should. but just want to see if anyone have actually tried that out before? thanks.
