I like xda and i got tons of useful information here. But i have to say that some moderators and / or admins seem to slighty overact some times
I posted a request about an undervolted bali kernel here a few days ago - since i havent posted that much i had to do it in the general section. Then someone told me that it would be good that i hadnt posted this in the developer section because if everyone would make direct requests to developers they would be overhelmed with requests.
After all, the thread got deleted. Probably because a request is not considered useful? I don´t know but actually i ask you guys if the kind of administration is considered helpful. At least i encourage you to answer instead of silently delete whole threads. I mean what is this? A xda adminstrator regime? Get straight and respect freedom of speech or deal with it unless its trivial stuff!
Some admins live in countrys that dont have freedom of speech,and therefore dont respect it......no pun intended,and no disrepect to any admins in paticular....

Hi to all from the moderation team. With a fast growing community there is a massive amount of general off topic chit chat going around in this forum. So we thought it best to give all a place to have a chat. This should hopefully take some pressure off the forums, so making it a better place for us all as there should be less junk to wade through trying to find what we need.
Now with that said, this does not mean there are no rules to this thread. All of XDA rules still apply. Flaming and the belittling of other users (of any title) will not be tolerated and dealt with harshly by the moderation team. This should be a fun place for us all to have a chat and a general vent of frustrations. Any moderation issues should still be handled by PM.

OK Guys, i hear you. The intention was not to only shut the Indian thread. It was shut because it was not titled as a Indian availability thread more a review/specs thread that i wanted to pull all together into one place. The OP is even written as such, so its very misleading. If its misleading to me then it most certainly is to a new user. So we have two options here, either open a new properly titled thread or the original one gets edited by the OP to make it a availability thread, which is fine.
Personally at this point i think a new one would be better, with the OP written with a current availability and a proper title. This would be much more helpful for all, as wading through all the previous old posts would be tiresome.
As i said, i am working to make this forum a nice place for all users, hence the pooling of information in the sticky threads. What i dont need is PMs that some of which can come across as very pushy. I do not respond to these sort of PMs. I am not saying i dont want to hear users suggestions, they are appreciated. Just try to do it in a polite informative manner, i am more than willing to negotiate. Not saying all the PMs were pushy, just a couple, so dont be offended.
So what are your thoughts, anybody up for starting a nice informative OP for a Indian availability thread?

I just read your valuable comments....u said their i should rename that thread title to get that in business again...But can u tell me how can i rename the title of that thread i asked u because u locked that thread...
As far as i know there are tons of country related threads in every mobile phone general section....So i can not understand why that thread is closed.
We Indian Friends were there like a community to help out each other , so please consider our centiments

Sir, please understand the Moderator put in place threads for the entire Community, not just for your needs or requests. Reread O_G post, and move on...be understanding that the allowing of an OT and a few others threads is welcomed.
If this doesn't stop of "my thread...my thread"...The Moderator Team could just result in shutting down ALL non development threads down, and use what others deem as an iron fist type solution. This is not a threat, just an ask of compliance by understanding the "big" picture.

I really dont like the segregation of different countries as they often turn out to be "exclusive" discussion threads. XDA is all about a international community so i really dont want this forum to go against that ethos.
So lets all share that international spirit

I'm for sure going the contract route... And lol Damn, you're lucky.. I'm not due for an upgrade until another year.. No experience with selling on ebay, guess I shall sell this galaxy s2 back to sprint and apply that towards the contract price

we the members of Xda have been facing a problem with opening a official Indian owners thread on the new opened galaxy note 2 forum..
The thread has been created 3 times in past 2 days and have been closed by the newly assigned mods in the forum..
I request you on behalf of all the people from India that this thread be created or reopened (i didn't know who else to turn to as I have requested the mods there several times)
Why u keep closing thread when this types of thread have kept on existing and are running without any problem on many other threads..
What the mods exactly want the title/content is not being cleared..

I am requesting that one of our wonderful N7 devs create or modify the order and chaos apk/app to be optimized for our N7 tegra3 devices. Can this be done? I have heard that most gameloft games arent optimized for tegra3? The order and chaos app thats purchased from google play is very laggy and has the terrible chat bug which Ive been told thats related to Android 4.0+.
Can any developer help us gamers out for this app? Can the optimizing be done?

Curious if there are any root methods available?
I've seen the S7 kingroot page, although I haven't seen much on these forums about it. Anyone have any insight?
From reading other areas there is no root at this time. Some have tried king root and it failed

Should NOT have been too early for root!
Root on Samsung has for a long time been easy since the bootloader is unlocked, and Chainfire has a solution that works after just a little work, mainly getting the correct standard recovery image.
The Snapdragon-based S7 and S7 Edge, sold in the US, has a locked bootloader. This means no root until/unless some busy developer finds an exploit (and then likely no custom recovery/backup).
Tweet @Samsungmobileus and (sprrint users) @marceloclaure early and often - bad press (and returned phones) will hopefully trigger a reverse, or an unlock mechanism like HTC has used in the past.

If you can find the rules but not the links to root then perhaps you just proved my point? You can root your phone. You are very welcome to do so. But failing to take 15 minutes to read and research for yourself (like a "real hacker" would do) you will almost certainly regret it later. Personally, I know that you capable of finding the guide because you found the forum rules and even found this forum yet you state that you can't find the guide. Sorry (not really though) but thats just lazy and I find that rather impossible otherwise. But sure. I'll take reprimand for calling it like it is and refusing to spoon feed lazy wannabe "hackers." Speaking from experience when I say that nothing happens with infractions anyway. At most you're only hurting the community by limiting the assistance by a senior member. Right? But anyway, I won't spoonfeed because all it does is congest this forum with repeated questions and cries for help by people that won't take the time to use the resources that XDA is known and loved for. Yet members like myself have dedicated THOUSANDS of hours to helping members which are truly in need... and they're not even "hackers!" Because at least they've tried. But like you said... "real hackers don't read... I rooted my phone now i am having trouble un-rooting, lol. I think it was because I switched like day one from g930P "sprint" to g930u, it was great until I rooted, now I can't un-root.
