So I was going to purchase a ps3 controller till I researched an awesome app called Droidmote. you buy the server app then turn it on I use my a500 a the server, then turn the client on your Android phone WA lah my phone is a remote to my tablet connected to my 52" TV.
So my questions are.. do you use it? and what do you use it for? Do you have any button maps for any popular game/apps?
Here is the play link it is around 3bucks for the server but the client is free.

I went ahead and picked it up. Pretty cool idea. I was excited for GTA III with it but am still trying to figure out how to map it so that the game recognizes it. I will say that it works very well with N64oid.
GTA is a game that support controllers, therefore, you must not do any additional action, only connect and play.
For games that support only the touch screen you must create a touch profile, but with the app "Touch Profile Creator", It takes only 10 seconds.

I'm not getting returns in the google play or amazon market for Touch Profile Creator. Is there another name for it?

You just take a screen shot of the game you are playing and use the windows app that the dev made for us to map buttons its really easy!

Got it I'll try to play around with it today to make a profile for Dead Space and maybe Resident Evil
Yes just search droidmote in the tf101 section you will find all you need or email the dev he will tech you 1 on 1

Hi there,
Is it possible to make a phone a controller for your tablet? I have a galaxy s2 and galaxy tab 10.1 - it would be great to be able to use my phone as the wireless controller...
Has this already been achieved? If so, please point me in the right direction...!

You'll have to provide more more information than that. What do you want to control?
Otherwise it's just like saying "I want a transport vehicle" and it could be anything, car, bike etc. You get my point

What I figure Freddie means is what I've been looking for as well - to use your Android phone as a gamepad or otherwise for your Android tablet, similar to the SNES HD app for the iPad:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlcigMvkkoU
There is great support for exterior controllers like the Wiimote being used for emulators and games on phones and tablets, but porting this method of using your phone as the controller itself is a great way for people who don't already own/don't want to buy another accessory.
I would assume it'd be similar to broadcasting your phone as a BT keyboard, and then using various button mappings fullscreened to create the gamepad. If an Android phone can receive input from a device, why couldn't it broadcast it?
Indeed!
Why use a gamepad when i could use my phone!

So downloaded some pretty awesome games (shadowgun, nova 3, modern combat, riptide GP, and a load more - went kind of overboard but that's what the first hit of a Tegra 3 device can do to a man...) on my Nexus 7 but struggling to get the hang of touchscreen FPS. Are there any game pads out there that I can connect wirelessly (wifi/bluetooth) to use instead when at home?
Thanks,
Max

Awesome, I imagine not all games will be compatible but can test with my cousin's ps3. Do XBOX 360 ones work as well then?
Purchased Zombie Driver yesterday and noticed a gamepad can be used with it. What do I need to do to get a PS3 controller to work with the game?

Download the SixAxis app from the Play Store and link them, pretty much it to be honest mate.
Also is the game any good mate?
Its not bad actually. Haven't spent a massive amount of time on it due to trying to get a PS3 controller configured lol.

Did you manage to find the SixAxis?
If not:

It is a paid app but buy it, give it a quick go and if it doesnt work/you dont like it get it refunded, if not keep it and enjoy your PS3 controller

I bought it, sync'd, and can't figure out how to get the controller to control the screen. It definitely pairs, and I've enabled it under input methods.. game just doesn't react to it. Color me confused.
There's an option in SixAxis to change how the controller interacts with the device. You can have the controller map to "touch areas" on your screen. So pressing a button will touch a particular area on the screen.
You should also have an option to have the controller be a gamepad, so games should see you have a "gamepad" connected. I do this when playing Modern Combat 3. I set it to a gamepad, and when I play the game, I just map the buttons normally. The R3/L3 sticks also should move as analog.
Hello, has anyone managed to get the Xbox 360 controller with an OTG cable to work on Modern combat 4? The right analogue stick doesn't move so I cannot turn my player, i would like to remap the controls as they only partially work right now. If anyone has experience with this or any form of guide how to help this would be hugely appreciated. Thanks

I am looking for a similar thing...also is there an xbox app like the six axis for ps3 controller (even beta version in development would be helpful)...
I believe you might need a custom keylayout. If I recall right, someone posted a proper keylayout for both a wired and wireless Xbox 360 controller that was supposed to fix the spiraling camera issue in DEAD TRIGGER, which I would imagine would work fine for any other game
Okay but how do I go about getting a custom key layout?

Will need to have root.
Info and key map in this thread
Not played modern combat 4... But this got my Xbox controllers working properly with dead trigger, gta3 and GTA vice city...
I'm fine with rooting just only if the controller will work for definite, otherwise I will return and swap for a ps3 sixaxis , and thanks also.

Although that guide seems to apply to wireless? I'm using wired

There is an app called USB/BT Joystick Center that does what you ask, it also works for a ton of devices such as wii controllers, mice, keyboards, etc. However native support would be much better.

The file 'Vendor_045e_Product_0291.kl.zip', attached to that guide, is the key map for wired controllers, which is missing from the n10. Just extract and copy the file to /system/usr/key layout and then set permissions. As I said before, I can't say if it works with mc4 but it definitely works for other games.
I rooted / got USB/BT joystick centre 6, and used the touch server add on to assign the touch screen commands to my Xbox controller.
Each button works correctly, and both analogs but my only problem now is the sensitivity is not high enough for the right analog (turning left/right and up/down) so it takes about 5 seconds for a 360 degrees turn.
I turned the in game sensitivity up to Max, also when I assigned the right analog to turn I put the speed to its highest (10), increasing the speed helped slightly but I need it to be faster, anyone have expereince with the app and able to tell me how to increase the sensitivity?

Just tried the guide from that thread and its no different unfortunately, the same buttons work before and after following the guide. Those buttons are Lb, Rb, Y,X and the left analog stick. Aside from that guide all I actually need is to increase the right analog sensitivity using USB/BT joystick centre somehow if anyone can assist,

Maybe the better choice is ps3 controller with sixaxis app? I used to use it for Asus prime and modern combat 3. Panning wasn't as smooth though and required you to set up on screen button layout.

Hmm from video tutorials I've seen of the ps3 controller on MC4, the sensitivity seems the same. Maybe I'm wrong but would rather first try and figure it out for an Xbox controller before buying a new one

Does it work? as i am also trying to use my wired 360 controller and right stick doesn't seem to work...
You have to use the j>t touch emulation and set up the buttons yourself, but the right analog is to slow, need to know if their is a way to speed it up

Still looking for help with my right analog sensitivity :/

Help with right analog stick Sensitivity.
I am also trying to raise the sensitivity for my right analog stick as I am also trying to play Modern Combat 4 with my Xbox 360 controller. Does anyone have a solution?:
I never found one. I just went ahead and bought the ps3 six axis, along with the app. Has a sensitivity option which is perfect

I can't see buying a $50 controller for a $1 game. I have a wired Xbox controller but think it would be cool if I could use my controller on mc4.. Joy2touch doesn't work too well. Any help would be awesome!
Am I using joy to touch wrong? Its like the dead Zone is huge but once you overcome the dead zone the movement speed seems to be full on. So aiming speed is either way fast or it doesn't move at all....
Has anybody been able to use the game controller with the universal driver successfully? It always says connecting but never does. I want to use it for emulators and this thing is so awesome!

I couldn't get it to work. I'm not rooted so I didn't touch the system mode stuff. I can select the IME but it never connects. Also, it messes up my wifi so that I can't connect so I just uninstalled it.

I tried with my rooted nexus 4 but it never connects and when I'm trying to connect it lags the phone so hard. I had to uninstall to restore to normal.

Works perfect for me. Rooted using cm 10.1. Make sure you synced the controller in Bluetooth settings before. Check system mode then check the bax to start the service in the app. I just tested with an emulator and shadowgun dead zone works good but not enough buttons for dead zone when you set the controller in the options menu. My problem is not with the universal driver but with the official app playing modern combat. When I aim with the right joystick it just keeps moving it doesn't do this in dead zone with the universal driver. How are you guys using it in modern combat? Thanks

It works perfect for me as well.. I use it with shadow gun dead zone and could not be more satisfied
Also for modern Combat, that only happens to me after I've been playing for a while, but at first it works just fine.. Might have something to do with the bluetooth problems in android 4.2

It was awesome for the short time before i dropped my nexus and cracked the screen

Exactly what as I described before cm 10.1 with the stock cm kernel. Turn on the controller it will be blinking then go to your Bluetooth settings on your phone and scan for new device. When it shows b&d or moga or the numbers select it so you can pair the controller to the phone. After it us paired start the universal driver app check the box that says system mode then check the box that says start driver service. Turn the controller on again if it wasn't blinking and bingo bango you're connected....
Thanks will try this when I get home.

N64oid problems on IME mode.
I'm not rooted, I don't want to root my Nexus 7, my Moga is able to browse N64oid's menu, but that's it, I can't play the game with it, please reply and tell me how to do it, I used the Universal Driver with my Moga Pocket, configured the buttons for N64oid so it should work but it isn't. Help?
