I wouldn't raise my hopes that high. I don't think the Desire C is similar enough to our device.
We need the DHD RUU for the camera nothing else is going to help us get the camera working..

I think Desire V RUU will be more helpful. It's almost the same as Desire Z. Besides Desire V has dual SIM(3G/2G and 2G) and no keyboard.

as far as i know, they haven't got a 2.3 android device yet. they are soooo slow with updates.

I might be wrong here, but I thought the Desire Z and Desire HD stock ROMs were identical (from a features viewpoint). I've got the Desire Z and my friend has a Desire HD and whilst I'm now on CM7, her HD looks/feels exactly like my Z did (well a little bit quicker probably because of the bigger CPU)
They launched about the same time and were both originally the only ones which could use htcsense.com as well so realistically if you're just looking for a Sense ROM for your G2 I would just suggest Virtuous (which to me felt like the stock ROM, but a million times better) or one of the other DZ ROMs. Hope this is of some help!

Well it might be the same sense but you would still need to port it. Remember Disire Z has a keyboard and HD does not.

it was confirmed by an htc sense lead developer on Google plus, that HTC we will move ahead to sense 3.5, he showed a built of the DHD version and mentioned ETA there is a thread about here in the general section
the OTA for the desire S is really surprising
Any source of that "official HTC Statement" that our DHD's will get Sense 3.0?
Would be great...But I'm pretty confident that they'll update it since the Desire S has about the same specs than the DHD.

If you are so skeptical then you will just have to wait for the update to roll out as that can be the only credible proof. HTC released the OTA for Desire S and even now there has been no official statement from HTC for it, we know only from other users who have received the update and posted it here on XDA. As is the case here, the guy in question is on HTC Sense Dev team and thus is the only source of info for now.

also there you can find directions to flash roms
It's very easy. just be sure to read through the whole downgrade/rooting process before you start doing it and always check you commands in adb twice before hitting [Enter]. When you follow the guide, posted above, most likely nothing will happen and you have a phone with Sense 3.0/3.5
The official sense 3.0 will be released in few weeks or months anyway, right?

still remains to be seen IF sense 3 will make an appearance, thats the desire hd in the uk just got it so,.... I would personally recommend rooting your phone, the wiki may seem complicated at first but plenty help to be found in the forums, remember you are not the first so have a read through the htc vision wiki
