Hi,
I just this morning installed the Alexandra V 1.3a version on my A501 (thanks Moscow Desire)
I also using the Patched ICS bootloader V8 by Skrilax_CZ (Cheers!).
The problem is with roaming mode. My operator wasn't listed at the orginal apns-conf and I had to input the data myself to get the connecting. Still I'm in constant roaming mode and the connection is a bit on and off.. (see screenshot)

Thanks for the link.
I will check the apn's listing and see what's up. I just modified the APN for one of the other people. Waiting to see if it worked or not.
In "his" case, the old provider was taken over by a newer one, and thus the changes didn't get into the Acer APN-conf.xml
There is a lot of this happening with network providers lately.
Let me take a look at it and I'll get with you later. I may need some more info from you.
MD
EDIT: I checked the worldwide mobile data listings for your provider. They seem like a strange lot.
Even their APN listings, are a bit strange as in the APN "internet.saunalahti". Generally, most APN's are like "internet.beeline.ru" with a domain suffix. And, they have some information missing; Look at beeline for exmple ;
Code:
<apn carrier="BeeLine Internet"
mcc="250"
mnc="99"
apn="internet.beeline.ru"
user="beeline"
password="beeline"
type="default"
/>
<apn carrier="BeeLine MMS"
mcc="250"
mnc="99"
apn="mms.beeline.ru"
user="beeline"
password="beeline"
mmsproxy="192.168.94.23"
mmsport="8080"
mmsc="http://mms/"
type="mms"
/>
<apn carrier="BeeLine WAP"
mcc="250"
mnc="99"
apn="wap.beeline.ru"
user="beeline"
password="beeline"
proxy="192.168.17.1"
port="9201"
type="default"
If you can contact your carrier, and find out exactly what is required to enter (send them the above as an example), I am sure I may be able to modify the APN conf xml, so you won't have to enter it again.

Again to this matter. I had the privilege to root and install a custom romantic to my friends SGS and he chose CM9.
He has the same operator that's roaming in national network. CM9 has a option to allow nation roaming but blocks the data connection aboard.. How difficult it could be to add it to Alex?

Hmmmm.... probably extremely difficult. My guess, and a short term fix, is to download a widget that will do it from the home screen. Might want to check the market and see if they have anything.
Probably would want to search for "international roaming"
EDIT: Make that "roaming control". Seems they have some apps for just what you need.

I would just like to know if there is a way to flash a noID rom to the PPC6700. I would love to add Verzion's Rom version I was going to use it because the verizon phone has the ability to get gps data from fieldtrial.exe, where as the Spriint version does not, and maybe it has to do with the ROM?
Also, one last question, even if I don't do that, the regular image of the rom from the unbranded apache would even work.
I would also like to know if there is a way to remove the prefs.dat file from the sprint 6700 found in the filesystem/brew/prefs.dat because when I attempt to delete it usint qpst or bitpim it says that the carrier has restricted access to it. What is so special about this file for Sprint?
the gps data is not based on rom version...it is turned on by the carrier. for sprint, it would show up if you had...say...family locator.
but to answer your question:
search for bal666's htc64 extended rom tool, use it to decrypt the verizon nk.nbf, change carrier to SPCS_001, re-encrypt and flash using the updater from a sprint rom.
I do not have a prefs.dat in my cdma filesystem. why are you interested in removing it? can you post that file?
Not a chance. I can't look at the file without it flipping me off. This file will not remove itself if I smashed it with a hammer. I don't know what it does or what it is, but it is there and I don't like it? Sounds retarded, but if it has no purpose and it is RESTRICTED, I want to see it.
I have uploaded a screenshot of the existance of the file, it's behind the open window, I''m using this for both sites pdahome and here.
It is hosted by our good friends at Tinypic:

I am the NOOB of the forum
Hello, I wanted to take a minute to thank the great amount of useful information on your forums. The information has helped with my Dash and my Wzard. Now I have gotten my hands on a Sprint PPC6700, and, my question is ( forgive me if it is COMPLETELY misplaced) as follows: Is it possible to install the Verizon ROM on this device to make it usable on the Verizon Wireless network, or am I just losing sleep here for no reason?
As always, thanks for any information provided.
Hello again. Well, I decided to read the post(s) on this thread. (SORRY) I decoded the verizon rom and changed the description to read"SPCS_001". NOw, it seemed to freeze on the radio rom update. The screen displayed "Updating the RADIO stack". immediately after that popped up on the screen, the Update utility said that there was an unexpected error. Now the phone will probably have to be flashed back to the Sprint software, but I was really hoping to get the Verizon ROM on there...........help, please. Thanks.
Hi, I searched and found nothing, read the wiki and managed to unlock mu former T-mobile TyTN upgraded to WM6 and managed to get the radio ROM upgraded ...so I can read
My (large account) employer uses KPN as carrier and my number has gprs switched on, when I set the GPRS settings to those I can find on the internet I get a message like "the network operator terminated the connection" ...as my employers help desk is next to useless I am trying here to get some guidance in what direction i have to steer the helpdesk people....
ANyone who can please help with KPN GPRS settings for WM6
settings => connections => new modem connection => give it a name => access point name: internet => no login name or password => finish.
That should be all you need to get online.
Here you go, voor alle NL opperators !!! Also works on WM6

thanks will try, sofar no luck with the settings from the first reply......seems that my employer has blocked connnectivity although 1200 tells me gprs should be switched on and I am using those settings.
Employers support is in fact as uselss as an 13th teat on a sow, "we can not help you as this is an non company phone, active sync 4.5 is not scripted and we can not install it" ...as if no newer pda ever will be used

Cab installs exactly the same setting as i posted
btw, after adding settings it's best to shut down and restart device. (w/o it i couldn't get a proper connection on mine)
With new settings, you must always restart your device...
"the answering modem has disconnected"is the message I keep getting......
I'll await the switch to Vodafone .......
the funny thing is that i also get this message when I convert back to T-mobile and the appropriate settings.
The 3G Icon comes up immediately but once I try to connect to the net I get "the answering modem has disconnected"......could it be a radio ROM issue???
Thanks for the wizard tool BTW, works like a charm in recognizing the network and adjusting the settings
same behaviour also occurs with radio ROM 1.41, so I assume there will be some other problem.
Will investigate later with the T mobile sim as everything worked flawlessly in the original setup

Certains opérateurs conditionne la 4G avec un abonnement
Three possible reasons:
1. Does the ROM have an LTE option under Settings > More networks > Mobile networks > Network mode?
2. Have you got the correct APN settings for your mobile carrier configured on the device?
3. Do you have 4G enabled on your service and are you in a 4G area?
Try dialing
*#*#4636#*#*
Under Phone Information>Set Prefered Network Type> Set To LTE/GSM.
I had an issue when I first got my I9505G that it was reseting to WCDMA.
This fixed my issue with getting the LTE symbol to show up on my phone.

You need to give some more info we don't even know what variant you've got or if your rooted or not. If you are then go into the systen/app folder and backup and delete lte config. Then go into hidden menu *#*#4636#*#* and pick lte/gsm/cdma preferred

Try this:
Go to Update center, open App Updates, and see if you have some update. I did not have LTE untill my Carrier got it, and I had to do an update.
Hi,
I have new unlocked Axon 7 Mini and after Nougat upgrade there is a new VoLTE option in the menu. I can turn it on but nothing happens. My carrier is Vodafone Czech Republic and it supports VoLTE, for example on my second phone, Nubia N2, with the same sim card, when I turn on VoLTE, the icon appears in statusbar and everything works. On MTK phones there is also hidden Engineering Menu (*#*#3646633#*#*) where are some IMS settings, and is possible to set "operator_code" and "mncmcc check" to get VoLTE working.
For Qualcomm Snapdragon phones, I found this guide here on XDA:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/how-to/guide-volte-vowifi-german-carriers-t3817542
But when I open "PDC" app in my QPST start menu folder my device is not listed and there are no options to change.
Is here someone with an european carrier and has VoLTE working on Axon 7 Mini? If you know how to get it working, please share your experiences.
Any help will be much appreciated. :good:
I did a modem image backup from my phone - the file NON-HLOS.bin can be opened in WinImage and what is interesting, here is the directory structure:

There are modem configuration files (mcfg_sw.mbn) for different operators in different countries. It looks like that Vodafone VoLTE is supported in these european countries: Deutschland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Turkey and UK.
And other interesting thing are these "secret" codes:
*#*#6266344#*#* – SW MBN Configuration.
*#*#3266344#*#* – HW MBN Configuration.
*#*#33266344#*#* – setMbnAppState: false
*#*#76266344#*#* – setMbnAppState: true
- The last one enables hidden application "MBN Test" which allows select particular "mcfg_sw.mbn" files mentioned above and activate specific modem configurations for particular operators in various countries.
My idea was to activate MBN configuration file for example "VoLTE Vodafone Italy" which may contain similar configuration as Vodafone Czech Republic. But when I try to activate it, phone is immediately restarting and after restart the settings are gone and the default MNB file is loaded, which is, in my case, OpenMkt-Commercial-CU.
Here are some screenshots from the app MBN Test:
Also I have tried to add the IMS APN but it has no effect at all.
How can I start the 'MBN test' app after enabling it via *#*#76266344#*#* ? It's not listed in my app launcher.

The "MBN Test" icon should appear automatically in your launcher once you have activated the app using the code.
And *#*#33266344#*#* code hides the app shortcut.

I forgot that I'm running LOS14.1 which does not support VoLTE and doesn't have that test app. Too bad. I want VoLTE and LineageOS!
My mobile operator not support VoLTE (Poland Play)
