I don't have LTE/4G option in my G2

When I go to settings --> networks --> tethering & networks --> mobile networks --> network mode
I only have these options (no lte):

You need to give some more info we don't even know what variant you've got or if your rooted or not. If you are then go into the systen/app folder and backup and delete lte config. Then go into hidden menu *#*#4636#*#* and pick lte/gsm/cdma preferred

you've got an 3g model. It's asian model, or a ... fake lg

or maybe your lg is from aliexpress

Try this:
Go to Update center, open App Updates, and see if you have some update. I did not have LTE untill my Carrier got it, and I had to do an update.

How to restore cellular service

I've recently installed Lollipop GPE 5.0.1 and noticed that I no longer had cellular service. I then reinstalled stock 4.4.2 (NG2). I still don't have cellular service. When I go to Settings/Connections/More Networks/Mobile Networks, the Network Operator option is greyed out. Also, the cellular icon has a red X over it. Any ideas how to update the cellular service? By the way, my SIM is for RingPlus (a Sprint MVNO) which has worked fine on this phone prior to my installing Lollipop GPE. Any hints would be much appreciated

Update PRL and Profile in Settings/System Updates. If that doesn't work, dial ##72786# in the dialer. This did a network reset.

Having the same issue. So the only way to get an update prl is through a touch wiz rom right? I tried Sacs and its stuck on trying to connect. then went to dialer and there is none. So i tired a different rom with dialer and it says i have no mobile service. Anything else I can do?

Android Development... All ROMs are there. Why are you trying to avoid Knox? It won't prevent you from doing anything.

Sounds like your baseband is not compatible with your ROM/bootloader..

If you have root, Delete LteConfigs.apk in system\app (D802/5/6 only) then reboot.
Make a backup just in case.
Maybe possible if you just disable it too in Settings, App manager (if possible?)

Then I think you need to check your APN settings.
Check with your operator.
If that doesn't work, look up lg g2 service mode.
I just remembered I had to set to LTE in service mode while I was on LG stock.

Is it possible to do it on custom ROM? I'm using Candy5 ROM, but can't get LTE to work. Any advice?

After I enter *#0011# there is secret menu screen showing. On Note 4 I enter BACK and Q0000... But it is not working on Edge+. What is Input here?

I think there are different codes for the edge+. I tried it too but got the same result. But you can open a secret HW test page by dialing ×#0×#.

I need that secret code really! Can you manage to find out how to access?

Go to play store. Then download phone info app. Launch it and click the top left and click secret codes. You'll get a list...click on 0011 and you will get the menu that you're after.

I think you didnt read first post. I know how to enter *#0011# menu but what should I enter then!? This app is only types *#0011# nothing else!

That is not secret menu. That is WiFi inside *#0011#.

I know t-mobile network on nexus 4 lte settings don't stick reverts back to hspa+ In an area I know has 4g and it switches back pretty quickly so maybe that is your issue

Hello.
The Nexus 4 never officially supported LTE. Some people discovered that there was partial support in the chipset and figured out how to enable it. However it only works on a limited frequency range and you have to know if the cell sites near you have the right frequency band. I never bothered figuring it out for myself as HSDPA+ is fast enough for me and I only have a small amount of monthly data to use anyway.
You need to use older versions of the baseband/modem as the most recent ones disabled the possible LTE modes. Whether older versions of the baseband are compatible with community ROMs based on 6.0 and up I don't know. I haven't seen any discussion for a while now. Phones with good supported LTE have been common for a long time and I suspect anyone who really needed LTE has moved on.

Band 4 LTE works just fine, problem is, I think Tmo in the US is the only carrier that supports it (thankfully I am in the US and on T-mo in that case). Any ROM with a Hybrid Modem will work. Good news!, in latest 7.1.1_r4 Nitrogen OS, this ROM has build.prop modified by default with LTE option enabled in mobile network menu. But this ROM has modem device only for 3G, so i flashed this file and 4G LTE it's back again on band 4!
