So far nobody in the world has succeeded to make a custom rom for Lenovo Lephone? Because I don't how to search in chinese.
Well they managed to root it but there is not recovery such as Nandroid yet and the update mode uses a folder, not an update.zip.
So right now only version of the firmware leaked by Lenovo staff can arrive...
What a pity. Any sign of enhancement in the process? I'm not patient :-(

Did you change anything in your phone or you've kept it as after the purchase?
For market, you can download some chinese apks that basically recreate another market. but its all in chinese... PM me if you want me to send it to you, there is a lot of warez on Chinese website so it wouldnt be appropriate to send it publicly on XDA...

there is a firmware that did come out with the official android market. im using it right now and it works like a charm.

to flash the firmware, u make a folder on ur memstick called

Hello all. I have been searching and searching for the app called Reader's Hub. I have a US Version Sprint Tab that I just got yesterday. I found, what I believe to be two files, the Reading Hub.apk and Zinio_pressdisplay.rar. I haven't downloaded them yet because I don't know if they are the current version, and I don't know what to do with the files once I have downloaded them (where to put them, etc). File pulled from firmware version 2.3.7a MIUI, so I simply have not found such a emended. For official firmware it is, but for MIUI - no.

try to edit the mms.apk as described in this thread and see if it works..it should anyway. keep a backup of the original apk!
Hello friends, i need some help from you guys. I am currently stuck in china for 2 years and i bought a lenovo thinkpad 32g 3g. the problem is that lenovo doesnt allow access to google store. so i am having great difficulty to find applications for my tablet. I was wondering if there was a safe way to change my rom from chinese stock to another one where i wont get any of these chinese restrictions. Kindly note that i am an absolute beginner in this field. so i wont understand complex ways of doing it. the maximum i managed so far, is only to get my device rooted. Any suggestions from expert friends out there? Thanks.
To my knowledge there is no way around the Chinese Internet firewalls. And for the future please(plz) post in the proper section this has nothing to do with development and should have been posted the the Question(Q&A) section.
My interest was not to by pass chinese firewall...this can already be done by proxy server like freegate.... i wanted to know if someone could modify a script that i could apply, so that for the next update my phone will get updated to the row version instead of the sw.

I've looked everywhere for this but can't find an easy solution. I'm trying to enable the spell checker (red line below unrecognized words) on the stock S4, but can't find an easy solution. I found this tread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2168321 but I have no idea about compiling etc, and the posted files aren't for the S4. It seems that if a kind soul could go through the trouble of making those tiny changes and post a new apk, it could make a lot of people happy!
