[Q] Clock in status bar doesn´t change

Folks,
I rooted my Nexus 7 and it worked fine as it did before with my GNex and my Bravo.
After trying some custom ROMs I decided to stay with the latest Codename Android release.
But now I realize that the clock in the status bar doesn´t change/update the time.
If I change anything regarding the settings in Settings -> Interface I´ll get an time update, but then the clock always tells me the same time although the clock in the lock screen works fine.
Anybody with similar experience?
Cheers
Chris
Typical C.S. answer, but did you try and reboot?

That's weird. I am running CNA nightlies and have not incurred this problem.
Yes, I rebootet the hell out of the nexus
Unfortunately without effect. Well, I think I have to live with that as the ROM is perfect for me.
Have you tried switching launchers or themes?
Really, I don't get it .... Now it works without changing anything.
I have a self-healing ROM.
THX for your replies

[Q] Rotation lock w/ Paranoid Android 2.99 beta-9.5

Hi ! I just got a Nexus 7, and as I will have to work on some UIs for a-non-so-unknown-little-orange-cone-on-Android, I installed Paranoid Android 2.99 beta-9.5 on my Nexus7, very great ROM I must say, the layout changing feature is quite handy and awesome, congratulations on the guys involved in it !
But I got a little "problem", I can't find a way to lock the rotation of the screen, on 4.2.1 stock you got the Rotation Lock right in the settings slider (the one you get by swiping on the right side of the status bar), but on Paranoid Android 2.99 beta-9.5 it's not here. Is a bug ? A feature ? Am I missing something ? I got a Wi-Fi Nexus 7 32Gb, I hope this can help.
Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work on Paranoid Android !

Unless I'm mistaken you can do this from settings > accessibility > auto-rotate screen. You should also be able to add a tile in the quick settings panel from somewhere in the settings. For me it's in settings > system > quick settings panel > tiles and layout.
Note: I am using CM 10,1 nightlies myself, so this may be done differently in PA.

[Q] ProBam 4.4.5 - Window Transitions

Hi Guys,
because I can not post my question in the ProBam ROM Thread I'm going to ask my question here
Only this morning I installed ProBam 4.4.5 on my Galaxy S4.
I've noticed there are now heavily animated transitions between most windows/screens (compared to version 4.4.3, which I was running before)
I was already searching for the settings to influence those animations (I would like to turn them off) but I was not able to find it.
Maybe someone here can help me out?
Best regards,
thanatos

you can manage animation scale from "developer options"

Good hint. I can speedup the animations there to be less annoying to me.
But is there a possibility to change the animation used to show new windows?
New windows are sliding in from the left and when closed, they will slide out through the bottom.
Before new windows faded in from the background - I'm quite sure that somewhere there is a switch to change the animation.
Search ffor framework animation from n7 in theme forum, i,ve seen a flashable zip around there

[Q] Nexus homescreen wallpaper issue.

Hi there! My name is Ben and im owning this nexus 4 phone for a month more or less. Since I bought it this forum has been an awesome place to look for answers as my last phone ran android 2.1. A genius friend of mine installed the paranoid android ROM on my phone for me and I'm very happy with all the tweaks. One thing that keeps bothering me though is that ever since I got the phone, when I try to set a new wallpaper, despite the nice sketch of how it's going to look horizontally an vertically on the phone's screen, it crops only the left side of the picture as a wallpaper, it comes out pixelated and swiping home screens doesn't scroll the wallpaper image. I've tried looking it up online, tried to mess with the phone settings, PA settings, launcher settings, but I just couldn't find a way to solve this. Ive tried the image 2 wallpaper app but it still doesn't put the wallpaper the way I set it and just crops only the left side, just less pixelated. I assume this isn't normal? as I said the problem existed even before the PA ROM was installed and that only confuses me more. Thanks in advance if you can help me! B
p.s. I'm running stock PA launcher, only used it to reduce the amount of home screen pages (now i have 3)
jellybean 4.3 with PA 3.99.

[Q] Alliance ROM help - White Text on Grey Backgrounds

HI all,
So I'm at a loss and hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Installed Alliance ROM onto my Verizon Note 3. So far I'm quite impressed with the ability to customize so many aspects of the interface. But my noob status working with android is causing me to get confused. I'm encountering a UI element that is used in popup menus that currently is displaying white text on a light grey background (as seen in the attached images) Could someone show me where to find the adjustment to change that UI element is?
Also I was a fan of the ability to swipe and launch the camera on the Stock ROM, but I was able to set my preferred app on stock. Don't see anything listed under Default Applications, also when I look at the stock camera's App Info, the Clear defaults button is greyed out. I'm unable to choose which app I want to launch since installing this ROM. I found a workaround by setting Shortcuts to Custom and selecting my app that way, but I liked the Stock ROM's grey button as opposed to using the apps actual icon.
Thanks for any help you can send my way,
Josh
Anyone have any ideas about the grey background. I'd appreciate any help, thanks

In AllianceRom Custom Settings under Colors, go to Background -> System and you can change the background of most system apps/menus, it is a universal change but you can enable/disable apps effected in the Whitelist menu.
Thanks for the idea! I'm trying but still can't seem to get that gray background to change. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

You could try wiping cache/davlik in SS, or try flashing a theme like All Backs Black. Other than that the only other thing I can think of is wiping/flashing the rom and starting over but that seems like overkill.
From what I know, I asked the same question in the ROM thread and the answer was this is a bug they are gonna have fixed in Build 2.
Thank you so much guys for the ideas and info. I was going crazy trying different combos of settings to get it to change. I'll look into trying a theme. I was already flirting with the idea of having to try doing a full reinstallation. But if its a known bug I can deal with it, the benefits of using this ROM so outweigh the annoyance of the grey menus. Thanks again!
