SD Card shows 3.5GB instead of 8GB

hi all
My 8gb sd card says its only a 3.5gb sd card in my blad, can someone tell me how do i fix this as i,m about to reflash from gsf b27 to elite s2 rom?

I have a 16 Gb sd card and have problems restarting

If you have formatted in fat16 not fat32 you will only see 3.5gb

I think you might have not formated the whole sdcard or formated in fat16

EMMC cm7.1 won't see "cm7 SD" on bootable sd

I am running CM7.1 off of the EMMC and trying to get it to mount the correct partition on my bootable SD card (4th partition). I used verygreens size agnostic guide to create a bootable ICS SD card. Everything works great except when I boot off of EMMC it mounts the boot partition as SD card.

use root explorer and edit vold.fstab to "4" instead of "auto" for sdcard mount

How did i fix my SD card. May be helpful!!!

After partitioning i got error on phome Damaged sd card! So as i did for computers (Baked the video card if it was bricked) i did it with sd card. Just heat it up with lighter. Reply if needed more instructions.

U just format your sdcard!

try deleting the partition using Mini partion and then format.

Yeah thats what i tried but those options didnt worked so i just `baked it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Virtual sd card

Hey, I'm too cheap to buy an sd card lol, and I was wondering if I could repartition some of my userdata partition as a virtual sd card? I want to reallocate 4 gb if that helps. Thanks!

[Q] Does the MB526 support sd-ext partition?

I just got a Defy MB526. This is my third android device. I have an LG and an HTC, and I have been able to use Cronmod Int2Ext and an sd-ext partition on the sd card to expand the internal memory.
I have not been able to successfully partition the sd card with an sd-ext partition on the Motorola Defy MB526 using TWRP recovery, or using CWM recovery.
I even did the sd card partitioning in one of my other phones, transferred the sd card into my MB526 and tried to install Cronmod Int2ext; it gave me an error.
1. So does this device support the use of an sd-ext partition?
2. Is there some other method people use on these devices to expand internal memory?
3. What search terms should I look up for help?

Jeez. Has ANYONE ON THIS FORUM HEARD OF SD-EXT partitions? For expanding your internal memory easily to the sd card?
