How did you feet Google voice to work on a kindle fire when we still lack the ability to use a mic with it? Unless of course your on a cm7 rom and not cm9. I'm on a cm9 but I can't stand cm7 for some reason

Ok folks, so I rooted and got CM7 up and running on my KF.
I am coming from my evo that has cm on it, and know what works well. I was wondering if we could get some input here as to what apps people really love for their kindle.
What apps suit the Kindle more so than other devices etc?
Basically....if you have a kindle fire...what apps or games can you not live without?
Kindle app is a must have
Wunderlist task manager, Evernote(note taking app), ComicRack eComic reader, EZ PDF Reader, Sketchbook Mobile
Screen Dim is a must to reduce the screen brightness while reading.
File Expert is the perfect file explorer.
Wifi explorer pro is top notch for file transfers
DROPBOX hands down incredible

I actually prefer Box to Dropbox nowadays. The major reason is that I got a free upgrade to 50gigs.

Never mind. Did a titanium backup of spb on my phone, transferred it to the kindle and restored it. Changed interface to tablet and away I go!

I tried SPB Shell a while ago and had a lot of FC issues. That and it just seemed way over-priced to me.
any way to make adw ex look better? i have it and like it but the ensity hack is no where near as good as go launcher. but i dont want to use go launcher because i cant customize it the way i want
Netflix and Remote VNC Pro. I use them every day.
Don't forget KeePass for managing your passwords and credentials.
Store the KeePass database in your Dropbox folder to sync it across multiple devices.
Castle Wars is also a very fun game!
Craigslist has an app which is very useful and saves your searches and constantly updates them...very cool to keep up with steals ya na what i mean
also, i dont recommend the facebook app...it's always been very trashy from my user experience both on the phone and kf
teamviewer is also a very very useful app to access your home based computer or work based computer and email files through the net which you forgot to put in your cloud maybe
All great apps on my phone, but even better with the Kindle Fire's excellent audio and video:
Netflix, YouTube, MX Video Player, Google Maps, Google Earth, YouVersion, IP Cam Viewer, RealVNC Viewer, Unified Remote, ADW Launcher.
These is the list for the best KFire apps. Add your apps too.

I've subscribed to about 6-7 different magazines in the playstore and am wondering if there are any good reader apps I can use with playstore magazines.
Does moon+ or aldiko detect playstore magazines? Which would you recommend?

So there are no 3rd party apps for reading playstore magazines?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Try Zinio. There's quite a selection on there.
What is wrong with the Play Store app itself?

Nothing really, but some magazines don't allow zooming in so I was wondering if there are any 3rd party apps that had that ability. I also was hoping the page turn animation was more like Google books. Little things like that.

I am representing my dad.
He has a new note 10.1
Any good apps to start with?
Le Dads Note 10.1
Clockwork Mod Recovery + Titanium Backup Pro .

What's the definition of "good apps" for your dad? What does he want to do? To read news, books? Play games? Watch video? Manage calendar? Take notes? Draw?

clockwork mod recovery is a Bad app to recommend .Unless someone ask what recovery do you like...between the two..
I would say google play store is the best app.. Let him figure out what he wants to use it tablet for..
I do recommend asking him what he is interested in.. Maybe News apps TV Show apps and reviews. GOOGLE + For sure..
Root / custom recovery flashing firmware . STAY CLEAR .. If you have to ask you dont know..
Good Luck

Just wanted to know what ya'll do on this awesome tablet.
I basically serf the web (forums, twitter, facebook etc.), play games, play some gba games using My Boy! emulator, watch movies/tv shows, read some books using Moon+ Reader, skpye, text with textplus, read some comics with ACV reader. I know, quite a bit of stuff lol
As an English major, lots of my classes have readings in PDF form. EZ PDF Reader has been a crucial app for me for school on my tf101. That will probably be my main use once school starts.
There is a thread already http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2387402

For YouTube and social apps when I'm too lazy to go to my living room and turn on my laptop.
But main purpose is to get latest android version and play with it.

I use mine mostly for watching shows (Netflix/hulu/crunchyroll) and browsing the web when I don't feel like firing up the PC.
Its also makes a great alarm clock, small external hard drive, calendar for work, and basic email checker for work for me. Heck, its almost replaced my laptop entirely.

Tapatalk, Reddit, YouTube, controlling Netflix on PS3, browsing, reading epubs, play movies/music via DLNA, Hangouts, Skype, play videos, DuoLingo (doing some of these through Miracast makes it even more cooler)
Guys there's already a thread started, the link above, that's absolutely the same thing. Why make another one and have two?

Mainly like having the latest version of Android. Also like the portability of a 7" tablet too. I've surprised myself by using this a lot more than my 10" Asus Infinity. Not just because it's new either, I prefer using a 7" tablet over a 10" for many things. Reading my magazine subscriptions are MUCH easier on my Infinity though, and I still prefer a lot of my games on my Infinity. I love that Google has made cloud storage available on a lot of games though. Makes jumping between devices MUCH easier!!
