Hi,
Was wondering if anyone has managed to boot [0.0.7.3] CM9 Alpha on a ROW TPT?
So far I'm just getting boot-loops using both the 0.7.3 zip uploaded to the Development forum as well as one I built myself from scratch.
I take it that nobody has?
Still do not have complete build to flash.

Guys,
So if am reposting the same query. Tried searching but didnt get any result.
I'm using GalnetMiui ICS as my primary rom. Saw this thread about multiboot and tried it. v0.4 didn't boot from 2nd boot. So i installed the old version v0.3 .. I could flash CM9-ICS-MR0-111207-jordan-KERNEL-2.3.4-Quarx and update it to CM9-ICS-MR0-111211 .
But now i'm not able to boot from 2nd init !
I tried doing the whole thing again starting from installing MIUI then applying multiboot patch and then installing CM9 ... but in vain.
Please help me get through.
NB: i noticed one more thing, running cm9 in 2nd boot is not giving me any network, when i try searching for a network its shows some error.

It is not possible to run newer versions including 111207 in multiboot due to the new kernel.
you need to make this your primary boot
hope i could help you, greetz Esok
sadly understanding the truth.
Yes , i sadly am understanding it. But I've found out a dumb method to use dual boot. Flash the respective kernels when in need of switching from GMIUI to ICS CM9.
but still the CM9 ICS is not giving me any phone signal [in 2nd boot], i dont have any sim pin activated.
If i make CM9 my primary rom , phone signal is ok and i can make / recieve calls. ??
For now i need Galnet Miui as my primaryu ROM atleast until the ICS CM9 is officially released for Defy...
cm9 is my primary rom and everything works great, at this moment i'm on the phone
maybe you could just make a nand backup of your wajkiui and flash cm9.
if everything works you can keep cm9 and if not just flash back

Hi,
I am trying to update my dad's Defy ROM. It is currently running CM7 on it.
I did the CM7 installation last November (Nov 11 version), and I've kind of forgotten the Defy peculiarities since I am a ZTE Blade user in day to day life.
Is there anything to take note in doing the CM7 to CM9 upgrade, for instance how about the the partition size?
I am not staying near my dad so I can't do the installation myself. I will have to relay instructions to him via Skype for him to do it on his own. My dad is reasonably comfortable with technology but
Can CM9 be flashed in the conventional method via Clockworkmod? (In the same way as Blade ROM updates)
I have got him to download the latest CM9 nightly from here:
http://defy.wdscript.fr/defy-cm9/
This is the 12th July version. Can anyone tell me if this nightly is stable, and if not, which version is recommended?
Many thanks in advance for the help!
CM9 is flashed using CWM.
A full wipe(data/factory reset) will be required.
Can't get why you need to adjust partition size (you mean multiboot partitions?)
Thanks for the info.
I thought that the default ROM partition size may need to be adjusted. If not necessary then I'll just let it be.
So is the latest nightly the best option? Or is there a more stable version I should look into?
You don't need to change the partitions..
What are the specs of your Dad's defy, Is it a green lens or red lens? What kernel does it have? I need details before suggesting the nightly build.
This is a red lens defy I think, using the bayer module.
Kernel version:
2.6.32.9-gb08c3c8
[email protected] #1
Building no: Gingerbread GWK74 Cyanogen Defy 11-11-11
I also seem to have a problem doing a backup using CWM.
Any idea what's causing this error message?
Questions go in the Q&A section
Can anyone please tell me what may be causing problems to the nandroid backup? :-o
Have you seen this post? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663613
I recently changed from 7 -> 9 using this guide word for word with no issues.
Thanks very much for the link on CM9 install.
I'm still trying to fix the nandroid backup problem. I have a feeling it's running out of space. Will clean up SD card and try again.
Hey all, I have a Red lens Motorola Defy. I bought it a while back, it started having the earpiece problem, and when i tried to fix it, it messed it up even more. long story short, i fixed it now and im looking at putting this rom on it, with the jellyx kernel.
I have seen several people in the rom's thread stating that the 22/12 build of the rom still worked with the kernel but later versions of the rom did not, so that is the version i would like to get.
what im confused on is, I can't find any files that say 22/12 or anything close to it in the OP's dl link. also, can i just use the latest kernel build, or is there a specific version of that i need as well?
some info:
it is currently running cm7
I think it is running clockwork recovery (probably pretty old version)
as stated above, it is a red lens version
EDIT: i got it working. I found the 22/12 rom build. turns out i was looking in the wrong folder. for anyone else with the same kind of questions:
-yes you can just flash the cm10 nightly
-no you dont need a specific build of Jellyx (as of 01/09/12)
-yes is it smooth as hell
Hey guys,
I'm running the unofficial Cyanogenmod 11S on my Nexus 4 and just flashed Franco Kernel and am getting weird colours now. My screen also blinks at random times, anyway to fix this without factory resetting? Thanks
Flash your rom again without Franco kernel. It's the kernel that causes this behavior. Just re-flash your current rom/nightlie zip or whatever and it should be fine.

Wrong version of kernel used
I think most likely you have used the wrong kernel or not following installation instructions.
Whenever opt to install kernel, do look into the requirements:
a. for which version of android (4.4.4 ? 4.4.2? 5.0?)
b. what type of release of android (Cyanogenmod (CM/CAF)? AOSP? MIUI?)
c. installation method and steps (some kernels required to flash on top of stock kernel)
For now I would suggest that you find out the version and release of the android that you using currently and just flash the suitable kernel for it. The way i see it, you are using a cyanogenmod (CM), a CM compatible kernel will do.
First of all, thanks for looking at this question.
I am running Android 6.0 (Fake nexus ROM) for a week, and I like it! The problem: In the multirom app I cant select an custom Android 6.0 kernel. Anyone knows a solution? Can I use every kernel that support Android 6?
As far as I know it is not possible for now. We have to get something to Kernel related but I am not developer, so I do not know exactly what, hehe.
Flash AK kernel for aosp it has kexec support but multirom will only boot straight to twrp this can only be fixed my flashing stock image i tried
