[Q] Open location with navigation - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm on the road a lot for work.
I usually open a calendar appointment, click address and up pops Google maps. From there I have to click on the destination on the map, click Route and then I get to click the navigation button.
This hasn't always been like that. I remember Navigation opening immediately when clicking a location link in my calendar.
Where can I set the default action for this?

"My Location" in Home Page of new HTC ROM - how to set manually?

I don't want to use the Google My Location service in order to enable weather on my home screen. Can I not just *tell* it the place that I want it to represent (which isn't always where I am anyway). So I've deleted every location from the weather tab except the one I want, but it always shows it as item #2, with "My Location" as the first one. Can I not set the location in the home page as a fixed location for the weather? thanks
Click on the clock and add a new location.
Got it, thanks! The two locations were listed there, so I didn't have to add the other one, just select it. Gah..! Thanks again.

[Q] Universal search app?

Coming from a blackberry, i have universal search that lets me type and find content on blackberry messenger, emails, facebook, contacts and even some third party apps.
While i know that android itself has some of these, there are third party apps that extend this feature. Do you use one of these apps? Which one?
I wish there was a way to use universal search (built into Android,) to search Google Maps, like I could on WebOS. I find that if I am hitting the search button, over half the time I am looking for a phone number from the yellowpages, (maps.)
I very much miss being able to start typing a contacts name at the home screen and having it pop up. Currently I have the far right launcher (ADW) set to Contact Search, but it's still to presses to get started. If anyone finds something that works more seamlessly, please let us know.
Well the built-in search feature of Android does search contacts... Depending on what ROM you're running, how your contacts are sync'd can effect if they appear in results. I can tell you that on CM7 nightly 21, with TouchDown and Facebook sync, that my contacts all appear when I just hit the search key and start typing. I just wish that one of the options was to start a search in maps.
Hit the search capacitive button at the bottom and start typing. If they don't show up, go into settings and make sure iit searches for contacts too.

[Q] Where do i see location history?

So i've had the location history enabled for a few days now, but where do i see the results on my phone? Can't find it.
Location history is available from the main menu in either Maps, Local, or Latitude (same menu).

I only see the option to turn it on / off, not the actual location history.

Your history is shown here on the latitude web page https://latitude.google.com/latitude/b/0 you will need to sign in with your Google account first if not already.
Alternatively tap the Latitude option within Google maps on your phone, then in the popup latitude window which will show just you if you have not added any others to share your location with, tap yourself then tap location history.

Thanks. So i've just noticed that it's showing some wrong locations sometimes. For example, when i'm in a building where there are different stores, it's showing the wrong store on some days. Is there any way to delete this and / or correct it?
EDIT: It's asking me if this place is correct, but the only button i can press says that it IS correct. There's no button to tell the device that this place is actually wrong.

I had the same issue, You need have some one share their location with you. I wish it would just tell us that instead of just sitting there spanning.
I had location sharing on. Figured out that installing G+ and hangouts on the iPhone was not enough. You need google now installed and running
