Hi, i have never opened a new thread,
but this time i want to share my solution for the 5 second bootloop.
If your kindle fire is not turned on and it keeps showing yellow triangle and blinking when you try to charge, this is the solution for you.
I experienced same issue today and googled and search xda.
but i could not find any easy solution without other cable or tools.
I accidently? find this solution so it may not work on all cases and may be cause some other problem, but it worked fine for me.
Solution
1. Connect your kindle fire cable to the wall charger first, but
do not connect with KF yet.
2. hold the power button for 3seconds
(nothing will happen as it does not have enough power)
3. keep press the button and connect the kindle fire
4. done.
Even if the charger is connected, the KF will not turn on.
So the power is not wasted and the KF will be charged.
Leave it for at least 30mins.
and then turn it on
Congratulation! Your kindle fire is BACK.

My Kindle Fire is dead, i flashed ICS and everything went ok, after a couple of hours i switched the KF on and nothing happened.
The KF button becomes green for a second, then the light switches off and nothing on the screen appears.
If i connect it to the computer the button light doesn't become orange like when it is recharging, if i try to switch again nothing happens.
Any suggestions?
I cannot give it back as i have bought in the States and now i'm in Europe.
I think you have the same error as I just had. Plug it in and press the power button until something comes up on your computer. (OMAP4430 Device?) If so, try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1413951
If not you could try shorting the pins... see the thread i link to in that thread.
thank you very much.
I tryed now to press the power button for 30 seconds and now KF is alive again.
Looks like very weird this problem.
I will flash back CM7 and hope to have no problems again
I am really careless to completely run out bettery of my kindle fire!NOW I can not start my kindle fire any more ,even I use my usb charger my kindle is just dead! Please help me!
Are you sure it's dead? Sometimes my Fire won't turn on, but I found out if I hold the power button for 30secs it will. I have no idea why, but it works.

Thanks!the point is that I can not charge my kindle!there is no power signal!I could go crazy!
i assume you'r using the wall charger - the kf will not load (enough) on a usb port
That's a really right assumption! After I used my original charger that did not help!I assume that's the cold weather and over discharge which affect the normal working about Lithium battery of kindle fire ! I am thinking about changing the battery!Reply for b63,I don't know why I can not directly reply for him just like the last one!
did you try to power it completly off by holding the power button ~30 sec ?
then plug to wall charger without powering on - the orange light should come up
maybe that restores normal loading behavior ...
Thanks you b63 for paying close attention to my problem very much! The stupid problem still persists!I gonna be crazy!!!Whether I can change another kindle from amazon or change the battery !!!
did you try it with an other charger ? maybe the charger is dead - you can use every usb charger with your usb cable.
if it's not the charger i would recommend to change the device - i doubt changing only the battery will help
also i'm pretty shure you will break some of the plastic clamps if you open it
Mine did this once before no matter what I did couldn't get it to power on. No idea why this happens but it does. I'm in cm7 but is still counts as a rom. What I did to get it to power on was just leaving the kindle alone for like 2 or so hours. Then I connected it to the charger and powered it in. Can't promise it'll fix it. Question for you. Does the led inn the power bottom light up at all when charging? if all else fails you could open the back (theses videos out there so toy can do it right) disconnect the Batt. There's a no wires to solder. Just a connecter. that could work.
For the tl;dr version.
Happend to me. Rough to fix some times

Hi all, I plugged my CM7 modded fire to a new PC for charging. Then suddenly my fire froze and went black. I can't turn it back on, no matter how long I hold down the power button. I got nothing.
I plugged my fire to my PC and the firefirefire logo (the yellow triangle one) shows up and it keeps looping back to it. My pc doesn't recognize the fire so I cant perform the unbrick trick.
Can someone help? Many thanks!
the kf won't charge with pc - use the wallcharger for some hours

I charged my KF overnight with USB from my Mac. Rougly 7 hours of charging whilst the device was sleeping. Went from 10% to a mere 80%.
The AC charger that comes with the KF is 1.8amp vs a PC typical USB of 0.5 to 1amp.
Many PC's won't properly charge the KF as a result.
so it's more like my KF is out of juice?
If you get no results after charging you will need to do a restore

ok thanks, I'll report back after a few hours of charging
I know this did not happen to you,but if you were stuck on the yellow triangle you would do this
1.Download kindle fire utility 2.
Unzip kindle fire utility
3.To install the driver, its easy, just plug in your kindle, when it pops up with the install wizard say pick from the location of: KindleFireUtility>drivers>kindle
4.run kindle fire utility,select 1 then select 1 again
That's it, hope it helps someone like me
I am stuck at the yellow triangle. It keeps rebooting and it wont let me connect it to the computer. I need help!!!

Boot into TWRP... then follow my other directions.
From the op of KFU thread:
Known Tricks
•If you end up stuck at the yellow triangle, in KF Utility select Boot Normal, wait for it to say <waiting for device> and then press and hold the power button 20 seconds until the fire turns off, then when its off turn it back on. This sometimes happens, I have yet to find a clean solution
•If you end up stuck with a yellow triangle, do not EVER unplug it. Leave it plugged in. Check the windows drivers to make sure it isnt showing as "kindle" again. Fastboot is different and can cause this.
That fixed my issues in fastboot when I was trying to install TWRP the first time. If that doesn't work then check out this post
I cannot boot into TWRP because the kindle keeps shutting off because it is dead. It isn't read by the computer.
Plug it into electrical outlet and leave it alone for three hours.
While waitin for three hours assess your problem and find the solution. Search.
Then execute solution after fire is charged.
Will it charge even when it keeps turning on and off?

Yes it will keep charging.
It did not charge... At least I don't think it did..
When you plug it in do you get a solid color or is the light flashing?
When it's plugged in to the wall and the light is solid you should perform a hard reset by holding power for 20 seconds. This will fully shut down your KF and it will accept the charge
If by flashing you mean turning on and off by itself than yes, it is flashing.
Please help..I'm losing it
Same problem here. It does not seem to charge when plugged into either wall or computer. The green light flashes on and off repeatedly and the recovery screen (yellow triangle) just comes on and off (it eventually just goes black while the green power light continues to turn on and off)
in order to help myself I have done a few things
1: KFU isnt working.
I updated the drivers through KFU
I tried to change bootmode to "normal" and it hung on "waiting for device" I tried hard reset here and nada
2: I tried booting into normal fastboot 4000 through command prompt and hung on "waiting for device" tried reset..nada
So just like the poster above I cannot get into TWRP as the computer never truly recognizes the KF. This all happened when my wife turned on my kf and didnt know what the TWRP was and hit the power button for recovery. It loaded back to the stock kindle set (I had been using CM7) and since then I've been eating FUBAR soup as it doesnt work
Seriously..im pulling my hair out here...any help? I'd try to return the kf to Amazon and save myself the pain but I think we know what would happen when they plug it in and see the flashing triangle...lol
1. Plug your kindle in to the wall for 3 hours like someone mentioned previously (it will charge) The issue with the device being in a boot loop has nothing to do with the kindle fire not charging, this is perfectly normal if you have modified system files and the system can't boot the Android OS. It is also normal to never get past the Yellow Triangle if for some reason that you have changed to FastBoot mode. (Some people may be misinformed thinking that FastBoot does what it sounds like it does (boot fast - not the case), that's how this usually happens)
2. After you know the kindle has been charged for at least 3 hours on a known working power outlet. Press and hold the power button on the kindle for 20 seconds or longer until the device powers down completely.
3. Press the Power button to turn the kindle fire back on, and be ready, as it comes back on press the power button as soon as the Yellow Triangle (firefirefire) logo first appears. Press it up to 5 times rapidly. If you get to TWRP then you can relax. - If you get to the Yellow Triangle and you have pressed the Power button a few times but it is still stuck in a boot loop before giving up try one more time to shut down completely and reboot while pressing Power button rapidly.. You want to be sure to do this before the Yellow Triangle screen goes dim .
4. When you are in TWRP you should be able to use KFU or ADB. You may want to change the boot mode if it is not already to "Normal" if you are having this problem with "Normal" then try to reflash the Kindle with a recovery image or a new ROM.
Hopefully you can at least get to TWRP by following this, so that you can at least flash the kindle with a different update.zip. Good Luck
Charged like you said...still no charge. Flashes on and off and when you pull the power cord goes to black like its dead and will not turn on at all whether you hold it down or just push it...
Never had a problem like this before, could always at least get it to turn on or off not a mix of both lol. Thanks for the help...any more ideas on how to get it where I can at least get it into recovery?

I'm experiencing the same thing.
I'm still confused... are you guys trying to charge it while it is in the boot loop?
Have you tried turning it off (holding down the power button for 20-30 seconds until the screen and the power button go dark and stay dark)? And then plugging it in? I wouldn't expect you to see the firefirefire triangle if the device is off while charging.
The other thing that you might want to look into is the factory cable. Supposedly charges the device and can access it w/o any battery power at all - if I understand that thread correctly.
The point is you can't turn it off, it's dead. If you try to put it on charger either through wall charger or USB, it blinks on and off repeatedly and the power button does nothing at all. The computer won't recognize (tried several diff ports and pcs)
I'm beginning to think the factory cable is my only option to bypass the bootloop and fix it, just hoping I wouldn't have to wait so long for a cable or drop 40 bucks on it. I guess that's what I get for messing something up!
I left it bootlooping for like 6 hours on the charger. Unplug it and you can't turn it on. Plug it in and it bootloops and you can't turn it off. So is this just bricked for good with no possible fix?

You may want to PM SkOrPn, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23024666&postcount=108, seems like he has them for $15/$19 depending on length (if your location is accurate.)
Kindle fire turning on and off by itself and won't charge
The only way I know around that problem is unfortunately to remove the back cover and remove the battery with a good adjustable power supply apply 3.7V to the battery for a 30 to 60sec it will draw approx. 3.4A and over the 30 - 60sec the current draw by the battery will drop. Be very careful as you don’t want to blow it up. Put the battery back in and you should find the kindle will charge again. Good luck
Hmmm, I wonder if the factory cable would be an alternative as last I checked an adjustable power supply (if you're without one) can run 70-100 bucks which is half of the kindle itself, I'd almost just take my chances sending it back in to amazon. Thanks for the help though from someone who has had the problem
Hello, I have a 6th Gen Kindle Fire 8. I am not sure if this is they right place to ask about this, but I recently used ADB to downgrade the version of the software my Kindle Fire was using, and now it won't power on. I don't think it's the battery because it was on ~97% when I did this and I left it plugged into a working charger for 24 hours. I am pretty sure I bricked it. Also when I plug it into my computer and press either Power + VolUp or Power + VolDown it makes the device connected noise, but dosen't show anything. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

Thank you so much! I got it working, though I think I messed up the wifi antenna, so I have to figure that out.
