New Device Not found by ActiveSync???

Alright I just bought my new Wizard yesterday. I installed the CD rom toay on m computer. It installed everything, but when i plug my phone into my computer via USB cable, ActiveSnyc can't detect it.
But when i go to my Computer, it says mobile Device. what is up with that? My computer can detect it, but ActiveSnyc can't. Can anybody help?
Probably be Antivirus or firewall software. try stopping these then plugging your Wizard in
ehh... nope, my firewall was off already. and i don't know how to change the antivirous stuff.
anybody else have any opinions... Maybe uninstall activeSnyc and reinstall the CD ROM?
lol it worked... well im happy (sorry waste or thread space). that was really weird though.
I had the same problem with mine (with AS 4.0) and after installing ActiveSync4.1 I had no problems anymore.

[Q] Rooting problem

Hello to all,
I'm a new Android user that has recently migrated from Windows Mobile 6.1. I have downloaded this FRX06_Full_Bundle_25.3.2011.zip and successfully installed it on my SD Card. This distribution works OK, but there are some minor issues I need to fix. So I need a root access to my phone. And here comes the problem how to do it.
I read several articles over the internet how to root your phone but all of them are about phones where Andoid is installed in the ROM. Moreover - they require USB access to the phone. And I have problems finding the correct USB drives or my phone USB does not work.
So could you point me an article that explains how to root my phone when Android is installed on the SD Card. Is there a way to do it by mounting the SD card on my laptop via the card reader. I want to avoid using the USB port.
BR
Are you trying on Windows or Linux?
Did you install ADB on your pc already?
Did you enable developers access on the android?
I think you need to provide a little bit more info.
Yea, sorry about that.
I'm using Windows 7 64bit. Currently I'm unable to find suitable drivers...
I have enabled the developers access on my phone, but the drivers problem wouldn't let me root my phone using the conventional approach.
So I'm wondering is there any other way to root the phone that does not include the USB port...
The build comes rooted out of the box. There's nothing additional you need to do in order to root.
You should probably read the FAQ if want more info on adb.
adb is not required for root access. Again, FRX06 comes rooted, nothing needs to be done to 'root' this build.
arrrghhh, thanks for the help. Indeed the distribution is rooted by default. I have confirmed this with the terminal application.
I have a problem with the Samba Filesharing (funkyFresh). The app website states states that the telephone is not rooted or Superuser not installed (I have already installed this). That's why I have tried to "root" my phone...

[Q] Why the OTG function does not work?

Hello,
My phone version is Android Original 4.3 (JWR66V), has flashed kernal r178, and the ziddey-otg patch.
I connect a USB disk with my phone (PC provides power), however, there is no file in usbdisk0, and the usb storage manager indicates that "failure to connect the device".
Does any one know how to resolve this problem? Thanks in advanced.
it seems that the problem is from my USB disk...XD
Thanks all your help...

[Q] Nexus 7 wireless root.

Hi i have nexus 7 and have one problem. i used car charger and my usb is screwed when i connect it to pc it says unknown device but its stil normal charging i tried al tricks on net but not working, i think that is somekind of protection switch that nexus 7 triger when strange power input is delivered. Ok so here is my question is there any way to root my nexus without connecting to pc. I have unlocked bootloader, so i would like custom rom couse dont like this one and need rooted setings couse i use it for car pc.
Tnx for info
You can use ftp, samba, AirDroid, WebShare, etc. tó copy the needed files to your N7.
Btw, you can try connecting it to your pc, check the Device Manager and if you see there an Unknown device, click on it, and remove its driver. Reconnect your N7. If the driver corrupted, this should solve the problem.
Like i said i tried all the tricks with drivers but not working. Tried reinstalig all drivers on the net but allways unknown device with error 43.
Its not file transfer problem i use wifi transfer and its fast but i wanna know if there is a way for wireless root
Just copy CF-Auto-Root to your device and root it.
Btw how can i execute the autoroot.zip file, couse even if i go into bootloader nexus cant be recognized by the pc so i cant execute comand via cmd
Sry but I forgot that it needs fastboot. As far as I know there is no one-click rooting app for tegra3 (like Framaroot or AndRoot), so I guess you're out of options.
Mybe some pro will find a way
The problem lies in your computer. The nexus 7 doesn't flip some magical switch permanently after being plugged into your car.
You need to fix your drivers.
No its not problem in pc. Tried 4 diferend PCs at least 10 different cables and yea problem is in tablet 100%
Forget cable and do it wireless like Erovia suggest.
You will find everything in play store.
Problem isnt file transfer, ust i want to root it and for that is no way to do it without usb cable

[Q] Mojo won't connect to PC and lacks sound! Help!

So i just got my MOJO and was in the process of rooting it but, i can't seem to get windows 7 to recognize the device when i connect it by USB. It always shows up as "unknown device". How do i get Windows 7 to recognize it?
Also i have another problem regarding sound....there isn't any. When i load up a video on the MOJO, or just try to do anything that would have sound, theres nothing. I have the sound at MAX using the CTRL gamepad controls. Still, nothing.
I knew the MOJO was going to be one of those devices you have to fight with in order to get it to do what you want but, this is worse than i expected.
Help?
It really is a terrible experience out of the box. We know who to blame Mad Catz!
For Windows to recognize it, you have to install ADB Drivers, try the ones from teamandroid: www teamandroid .com/download-android-usb-drivers/
You will have to locate the device in the windows device manager and install the drivers manually.
But you can root the mojo without conencting it to the pc. you can root it with towelroot (Version 1). you have to search with google for the apk. the newest version (3) and v2 won't work.
After that you can use Flashify to flash a custom recovery.
For the sound: do you have another hdmi slot at your tv? this sounds like a connection problem.

Try the driver from Samsung.
If they don't work, use the universal adb drivers: github.com/koush/UniversalAdbDriver
Towelroot would be much easier, you just install the App and klick one button (but only v1 works with mojo)

Thanks for the reply but i've tried all towelroot 1.0 as well as 3.0 and it did NOT work. I got an error saying, "This phone isn't currently supported". No matter which version i try.
Edit: Ok got it working! Turns out i was attempting the V2.0 & V3.0 versions. There are plenty of sites out there that would claim to have v1.0. However, once i downloaded and installed it, i'd see a "v2" or "v3" at the top of the screen.
In the end, I had to do a google search for a towelroot spefically for MOJO. Only then did i finally come across a site that had a legit v1.0.

Good job! I'm glad it worked in the end.
I also had to search a long time to find the correct tr version. But you will never need it again, once it's rooted. if you want to go back to stock, you can flash the original firmware with twrp, too!

Here was the thread it was in:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mad-catz-mojo/development/root-mojo-towelroot-one-click-t2799712
And the link for V1.0 in case anyone wants it. It was tough to find:

Ok so after a few hard weeks messing with this device, i've figured out ways to fix all its quirks, except for one: Not being able to connect to Pc. Thats annoying. I don't like having to remove my Micro SD card everytime i want to add more files.
Especially since this device was deigned in such a way that, its virtually impossible to remove without first removing the HDMI cable first. As they are sooooo CLOSE together.
Any suggestions for drivers? I just need it to function like a plain USB mass storage device, so i can access my Micro SD card on the Pc.
Yeah, the microSD is a pain to remove.. but I never need to touch it.
I don't understand why you want to access the SD via PC as a USB device?
To access the sdcard over wifi I use a SambaDroid server on the mojo pointed to the sdcard.. it works.

I want to be able to freely connect my MOJO by USB and drag & drop files at will to the Micro SD, without having to physically remove the Micro SD card each time (which also means unplugging the HDMI every time!!).
So far i'm enjoying the MOJO console as i've found fixes for every other problem i've run into. This is the only one that continues to elude me. I had not thought about the possibility of my Pc being able to connect remotely though wi-fi, to access the MOJO storage. This might be yet another out-of-the-box fix for me. Can you explain more about how this is done??

Not sure why you want to have a USB on the MOJO that way... the idea of MOJO(or any other topset box) is to keep it online next to your TV, I used to plug USB thumb drives into it.. but you never want to change microSD cards.. same like on a phone or tablet really.
Just install this on mojo:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=berserker.android.apps.sambadroid&hl=en
You can configure it so it shares a folder (google how to share folders on windows or youtube sambadroid).
You can use just the microSD (i think it's /mnt/card1) or the internal storage(i think /storage) or both using just /
I wouldn't do just / though.
It's pretty easy, just replicates windows file sharing and works well.
