[Q] Do i need a Tmous digitiser driver? - HD2 General

Hi hd2 user,
I want to ask about my hd2 below.
Since i had a digitiser hardware issue,so i change my digitiser into Tmous version.
So, do i need a driver for my winmo&android(since the digitiser is for tmous)?
Thanks,
Ronald

the tmous HD2 supports much the same ROMs as the normal HD2, without farting around with drivers. its the Radio you need to watch out for as that can really ruin your day if you put the wrong one on.

No the the IPL is what boots/loads the hardware and it is the same on either version of the HD2. Now if I am wrong about this, please someone else chime in on this.

Also searching for that one!
I'm always amazed that people are willing to fumble around in a $500 heavily miniaturized high tech device...
Out of curiosity, guys, what the hell do you want to do inside of an HD2?

Not just inside, also if you need replacement parts, and how to test on fault units etc.

Plus there is usually a lot of good information in them
not generally available.

What would be really nice is the Service Manual/Schematics for HD2 and HTC Desire... now that would be great insight for porting ROMs.
Does anyone have service manuals for LEO ???
Yeah would like that , since they replaced my screen
search LeoDis and LeoAs on YouTube.
With those videos I successfull replaced the screen of my LEO.
Circuit Diagram
That looks like the schematic of the HTC Leo HD2 (T8585):

Thank you very much
I have an encrypted version of the service manual, but can't open it since it's signed with a digital ID by HTC.
If someone could crack it, I would share the document
It can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?6pd56hc6ldf5rkb
I found it on some chinese website
Nice one!

But I have some questions!
Is it possible to get the circuit diagram for this phone? or where to get this element "ZUV 9R"?
thanks

Htc HD2 T-mobile - 3G Connectivity Question ?

Hi, so i have a unlocked htc hd2 from t-mobile.
First question is since im a newbie, does that 3G capability is software or hardware based ?
Second if its software based does anyone know if there is a software that'll enable hd2 to work on Rogers 3G bands?
thanks a lot in advance

I'm guessing you mean from T-Mobile US. You should probably check the forum specifically for the US T-Mobile HD2 and ask these questions there.
For your information they have removed the section for TMOUS HD2's and merged back in with the regular section. As to try and answer the OP's question, I personally use Energy ROM's because I like the latest build of 6.5.X and allot of Eye Candy however everyones taste is different. The best bet would be to try allot of ROM's out and see what one fits your taste. (just make sure it is compatible with TMOUS)

OS Question!

Hey all!
I was looking through my phone settings/specs today and i found something that kind of confused me.
Under Software Information, i see my phone OS Version is 5.2.xxxxx. Does that mean im running Windows Mobile 5.2? or is it something else?
Im new to the world of Windows Mobile phones, since my last phone was a iphone.
So if anyone could clarify this, that would be great.

That's a build number...don't sweat it my friend, you're running 6.5
Check my sig, you'll see the proper version numbers for the stock rom...any you find should match those, and probably will.

Oh ok thanks! And yes i am running the same OS Version as your HD2, but my ROM is the new 2.13xxxx one =)
Also, is there a way to calibrate the Touch Screen? I know you calibrate the G-Sensor, but i cant find out how to do it for the screen.

[NAND] Volume up/down keys change

Hello,
I want to try the MAGLDR NAND boot but my volume keys are stuck. Is there any way to change the keys to other keys or something?
Not without recoding, rebuilding and releasing NAND especially for you, I'm afraid.
Wow. I feel bad for you man. Seriously :/
Eventually I suppose there will be multiple controls available, the same was true for the native Android recoveries (= kinda our magldr). It sure won't be on their top priority list, but all I can say is have some patience..

Magldr is closed source. No one's gonna be recoding anything I'm afraid.

HD2 Leo.
I think it has to recode en rebuild but that not kind a option. So I gonna buy a new mainboard flex-cable to repair my volume buttons.
Thanks for the answers, i though mayby there is a way to simple edit a file.

If you change combo(LCD+touch) it's OK (no matter of what version), they are interchangeable(US vs. international/european)!
u might change the hole stuff
o just look for appropriate one, the better way
hd2 being an old device for now wont require too much money for the hardware replacement

not unless you have magic abilities: getting the digitizer separated from the touchscreen without destroying one or both of them is a marketable skill... good luck saving money that way. (a small ceramic oven may come in handy)

thanks for the heads up but i have referred a tutorial on ifixit !!
they say that removing the glue between the digitizer and screen is technically not tough but could physically damage any or both of them !!
they just need to be heated with a hair dryer or something like that !!
so i just wanna know whether i may use a tmous display(only) on my eu model !!
