It gives a force close message as I answer a call, but the button light keeps going off, as if it's still ringing. Then the radio seems to restart as well, and I have to wait a minute for it to reconnect to the service provider before being able to receive/make another call.
I'm running CM7 RC2 with the latest available version of the radio flashed.
Sounds like you may want to due a full wipe and reflash. I'm also on RC2 and have never experienced that.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm wondering if anyone has an idea for a specific thing I could try before doing a full wipe..

I've been running this ROM for a few weeks now and for the most part it is very good. But i've noticed that it sort of locks up. What i mean is you can navigate around but if you try and start an application it freezes during start-up, you can't make any calls or send txt's, you can't receive any calls either. If you try to switch Phone of in the comms app it won't switch back on.
You can't tell if it is locked until you try and do something. I have to do a soft reset to get it working again.
Anybody have any idea's? Would updating the Radio be worth trying? It is currently using Radio 3.08.90.
I was running Artemis_Touch_4.02_Full_with_4_sided_cube before hand and never had any problems like this. Should i switch back?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Cheers
Carl
Hi Everyone, I have searched for an answer to my problem but cannot find anything.
I have upgraded my G1 to Cyanogen, and everything works fine except I get no notifications to text messages, they just arrive, with nothing to tell me they have arrived.
Another problem is when I call my phone, it rings once and then gives an engaged tone. There is nothing coming up on the phone to say I have a call, however it does put the call in my missed call list...
I have checked GSM call settings but all forwarding is disabled.
I have just upgraded to the latest cyanogenmod with the updater software, however I still have the same problem.
Another thing that doesnt seem to work is the home button, and camera button, and the phone no longer locks.
I am at a loss for what to try, apart from trying to flash the phone back to its original state.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When you did the update did you wipe first? You can fix your problem, but you need to wipe your phone. So wipe, then reaaply the update. This does happen to people from time to time, and I've yet to see the direct cause or solution. A possibility is something in the dalvik-cache.
after rooting and flashing CaNNoN202 Complete Eclair (v2.1) with danger spl and 2_22_23_02 radio and google apps, my phone will work for a while then if i go to make a call it will say its dialing yet I hear no ringing then it will say the person picked up yet I hear nothing no sound whatsoever.... Same if I try to answer an incoming call. Also if I try to go to the call settings it freezes and I get the a force close for the dialer. If I try to send an sms it goes crazy and I get a bunch of errors saying I have no service when according to the dockbar I have full service... Anyone else have this problem and solved it? Also I was having the same problem with 5.0.7 Cyanogenmod.
I have had the same problem, the problem disappeared when I went to the newest, non test version of CM 5 and the updated radio. I had to cycle the radio by turning on airplane mode and then turning back off airplane mode. I tired different roms etc and it didn't fix it but for some reason the newest CM5 fixes the issue
So, I went to make a phone call earlier and realized I hit the wrong number. I ended the call immediately and then immediately tried to call the right number and the call just ended before it even rang. Now I am unable to make phone calls as every time I try to call any number it says calling and then the call just instanly ends. Anyone have any idea what is going on?
First option would be to power off and pull the battery. If it doesn't work after trying that, than second option would be to perform a hard reset.
Regards,
Tom
are you running the stock rom, or are you rooted with clockwork recovery installed, and running a different rom?
I have definitely tried rebooting, removing battery, sim, etc. I have now discovered that this only happens when I am at work. I am going to have to do more extensive testing to figure out exactly where I can make calls and where I can't but could it have something to do with which tower I am connected to? I have full signal and data and sms work fine.
*edit* I have not rooted it yet or installed a custom ROM.
Okay, well. Now it appears to be working. Now I'm really confused. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?
nope, it sounds nuts to me.
i would recommend using the phone a lot and trying to recreate the problem under specific circumstances. perhaps its a faulty piece of hardware.
If anyone has advice, I'd be very grateful: Just today I've started running into some issues with the dialer, calls and call waiting:
-When I'm on a phone call and I ignore an incoming call, my first call disconnects
-Occasionally I can't end a call (hang up)
-Occasionally when I dial a number, I hear nothing. I hang up and redial and the call goes through.
-Sometimes I've been seeing the Dialer at the top of the battery use list with 90+%
I'm running CM 6.1.2 RC2 glacier
Any ideas? I've force-closed Dialer and rebooted so far, still having issues.
U need to ask stuff like this in the thread of the rom.
thanks, i'll do that

This sounds like a bad flash.
Redownload the file to make sure you have a good clean copy.
Make sure you are using the correct gapps.
In recovery mode, WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET BEFORE FLASHING!
On first boot let it sit at the sign-in screen for a solid 10 minutes before you touch it. There are all sorts of background processes and "thinking" happening.
I ran that rom for a few weeks and it was perfectly stable with none of the problems you mentioned.
Thanks, but I'm fairly certain the flash was alright. I ran it for several weeks without problems, installed it as you described and after a full wipe. MD5 sum was fine, etc. Well in any case I've moved on to the nightlies of CM7 so we'll see... thanks for the advice.

Ah right on, I'm right there with you. Keep my tips in mind for next time, especially wiping before flash and letting it sit on first boot. Big improvement in stability!
I will, thanks!
