Hi,
i've have noticed on my Defy(green lense) that USB-Tethering does only work if ADB-Debugging is enabled as well. This happens on CM7 and also with CM9.
I'm a little bit confused. Why do you need Debugging enabled for USB-Tethering?

Hello everybody.
I have successfuly installed CM7 RC0 ROM and it looks very promising.
However I encountered a problem: I can't turn on WiFi. Every time I try to turn it on it writes me Error (under SETTINGS -> Wireless&networks).
I tried rebooting the phone and the result is every time the same.

Is this still the case? There is new build 7002 which works perfect for me. Did you tried the newest Nightly build? There were troubles with Wi-Fi driver in the past.
As the thread suggests, after resetting & switching to nighty #106 those things that weren't working now are.
Before this the
+GPS didnt work (that was fixed by latest radio flash though not rom)
+Bluetooth didnt work (no discovery tection by either device)
+Usb Tethering didntwork (would enable then disable immediately)
as for wifi, i think it worked b4 too.
I've flashed cm9 in a dual boot with cm 7.2 saw a very strange thing. Under cm 7.2 i can connect my defy to my pc trough wifi using a TP-LINK TL-WN721N device, and everithing works great. Now in cm9 i cant connect them, the wifi connection isnt showed in phone's wifi menu but i can see others wifi connections, and even use them, the problem is only with mine, but i repeat, in cm7 all works great..
Someone can give me some help?

i got problem when trying to enable wifi tether on WIUI 3.1.21 plus rom, when i turn on wifi tether there's nothing happen, there's only message "turning wifi on...."
is there any way to fix this, or it's a bug from the rom

I have this problem to, but I got a message "Error" and stops the service.
If I make a cache and dalvik cache wipe, it works fine for a while...

I was on the 24/09 4.1.1 build up until this morning when I finally manged to get the 2ndboot quarx to run smoothly on my green lens defy. (Other attempts ended with a laggy phone that rebooted and required settings entered every time).
So anyways, it's running alot faster and smoother than the 4.1.1 build but the Wifi is not working, is there a fix I have missed? Just says "Turning on wifi..." and in Settings > Status it says Wifi Mac Address unavailable but says it's working on the main CM10.1 thread.
I'm kind of noob when it comes to this, so sorry! I have tried searching and found no answer to my problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. Quarx is a GOD.
