Is galaxy note similar to galaxy tab 7.7?
Can we expect someone having improvements on cooked roms with that?

Holy Sh&t! There will be custom ROMs before there are phones!
SGS II is already out in UK I think..and it works in AT&T bands due to it being quad-band for 3g...(for those who can't wait)
That said it would be nice to have a port of TouchWiz 4.0 to play with
Cheers guys, Jellybean update officially confirmed for our note 1 at Samsung unpacked event just now.

You got a link, dude? So far, the only update confirmations I can find are for the Note 10.1 and Galaxy S III.

Niiiiceeeee
Best news I've heard all day.
I think I may hold on to my note for a while longer now. I hope they hold good on their word.

Let's hope soon is sooner than soon was when they announced ICS. Did anyone see the live presentation? I think I heard something about the Note and Note 10.1 also getting the reworked S-pack from the Note II?

Samsung just released the source code? Did you even bother to check that post date?
OP was time traveling and lost sense of time. It's the only explanation.

IF samsung decides to give us the 4.4 update. sure, it can run on devices with 512mb of ram, but the question is not whether google will enable it because it was already answered and it is possible, but the question is whether samsung will develop it for devices such as our grand.

Samsung won't release 4.4 on our Grand ...
I think Samsung may launch Grand II on 4.3 or kitkat ...
I heard a rumour about this ...
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
Yeah I also think getting offical 4.3 or 4.4 is quite unrealistic however we might get it unofficially as even low spec device like motorala defy got it unfocially
very disappointing how OEMs seem to just "neglect" their old devices, but, i guess that is just how business goes. :crying:
Ther is still a 10 % CHANCE THAT SAMSUNG MAY RELEASE KITKAT FOR OUR DEVICES.....OTHERWISE WE HV GR8 DEVS WHO WILL BUILD KITKAT WITH DUAL -SIM SUPPORT
Yes.. Even I've heard about grand 2 release

We could petition, like they did with Galaxy Nexus....
According to the source, Samsung is thinking of bringing Android 4.4 KitKat to its several mid-end devices. The list includes the Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy Ace 3, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Fame, Galaxy Ace 2, and the Galaxy Fresh -likely there are other devices else but not captured in the picture. We don't know if it's real or not. We can just hope that Samsung will bring the new life to them, and of course our Galaxy S3 Mani.

agreed.
Hopefully we get 4.2 i dont really think we gonna get kitkat, maybe just the chocolat but no the OS.
cm 11 suits your need. it's great you have kitkat before it's officially released
Why talk about rumours about kitkat cm11 is here and stable already, it aint no rumour either
