No i couldnt.. There is no progress bar while flashing in download mode..
I can enter download mode but flashing stuck...no recovery..

Please try this one
1. In download mode through PC odin just Flash the single PIT file with ICS LPF stock rom (Yes you heard right) with repartition checked no other file just a single pit...
2. On success remove your battery go to download mode again and flash the whole LPF...once again with all the files (PIT, bootloader, pda csc and modem) again check repartion...It should boot with LPF.
Please confirm if it works.....

last Friday i tried to install the lpf version via PC Odin... i was on rooted lpy
it was going ok but before the end it hang at factoryfs.img & gave a message"fail!" with red color..
maybe i waited 30 seconds then i tried to restart the phone & i got screen of death "if i'm not mistaken... see the pic"
but i was lucky because i was able to enter the download mode
after that i tried to install official LPY again... failed
tried to install official LA4... failed
after that i made a fast panic searching to solve the problem...
anyways the solution was by flashing a n7000 GB bootloader & official LA4 after taking the battery out for some time...
so if u are in the same situation try it out... maybe it will help
better to wait a confirmation from an expert...
good luck...

Yes.. Im flashing for gingerbread.. But stuck happen after odin success write all ICS files to device...
This is what odin do when you flashing..
First they will write all necessary file to their partition..
After the flashing success, tab will reboot into recovery for format the /system and copying the files for CSC files...and reboot again..
SO the rest of operation its from ICS kernel..
Correct me if im wrong..

sad to see official ICS for our country effected with this annoying bug.
i even saw people do saying that the build date LPF rom is newer compared to LP9. Even though LP9 just released by Samsung.

JTAG not work..

I've always had this problem since Gingerbread when using Odin to flash fw downloaded from XDA.
My solution is shut down the phone, restart by inserting the USB Jig (enter flashing mode) and flash the kernel that I separately downloaded for rooting purposes.
It works every single time I hit such error.

maybe this can help

for someone with the experience to repack their own ROM ,you certainly surprise me by completely missing the stickies and tens of threads posted about how dangerous ICS is.
you flashed a with a wipe ROM? and even if not a wipe ROM ,every ROM will do it's own formatting of cache and flashing some stuff from recovery on first boot
that's the bar you saw when you flashed .
any wipe or flash from ICS kernels has a good chance of locking up the emmc of your device ,thus giving you a brick.
I'd try my luck with the warranty claim if I were you ,just make sure to reset the flash counter first.
good luck

SC-02B][CM-10.1_PATCH]Howto install I9000 CM-10.1 ROM to GS1 NTT Japan
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2094861
I will host all the files until the become irrelevant.
@didhiy, please PM me when you get stuff sorted so I can delete everything off my Google Drive.
[Original Post]
First of all... it took me months of searching, trial and error, stopping, restarting, and getting to a solid solution to root my phone, get the latest firmware, and also have CWM.
So credit to everyone who helped in the below threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23307082#post23307082
http://galaxy.anddo.net/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=2&sid=4505138adb8184c62f53453e901fbd5c
What you need:
https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B_UvqlM1EJ_yeFVIN1JUQXNRZEU/edit
1. Odin 1.87
How to use Odin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1160580
2. Flash SC02BOMKE3
(auto reboot, f. reset time CHECKED)
PDA: SC02BOMKE3_Daddy.tar.md5
3. After reboot, Wipe data/factory reset, clear your cache, then reboot.
4. Download the Superuser app from Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/search?q=superuser&c=apps)
5. Run Superuser on the phone to test if rooted or not (the above kernel is already rooted, so it should work). Update the su in the options page and it should update and be ok.
6. Go to Settings/About phone/Software update/Check for update and it update the firmware without flashing the whole system so you get to keep your 2.3.x update and root. I had to update twice... first time i did manually and the second popped up after the reboot...
7. Download and extract "KL4_ext4.zip"
8. Flash "zImage.tar" with Odin 1.87 to get CWM on your phone
(auto reboot, f. reset time CHECKED)
PDA: zImage.tar
9. Flash "kyapaT10mod3.tar"
(auto reboot, f. reset time CHECKED)
PDA: kyapaT10mod3.tar
For additional modifications to the kernel... I do not know what the changes are as the source is in Japanese and I don't feel like having my wife read the kanji for me... but apply if you want.
COMPLETE
IF ALL ELSE FAILS: (missing dbdata... sim card not detected...)
A. Flash SC02BOMJJ1
(re-partition, auto reboot, f. reset time CHECKED)
Pit: sc02b_odin_2011112.pit
*PDA: SC02BOMKE3_Daddy.tar.md5
Phone: MODEM_SC02BOMJJ1.tar.md5
CSC: CODE_SC02BOMJJ1.tar.md5
* Yes i know that the firmware code it does not match... but it worked for me and I use this phone for work…
B. Wipe data/factory reset and clear your cache, then continue from step 2

Using thsese files (thanks robo-d):
JVU + CFROOTJVU (better than JVP):https://hotfile.com/dl/151999730/10c...FROOT.rar.html
but my sim card was not detected. tryied to flash my modem file, that failed. but then I just reflashed everything to get CWM and restored my to working condition with my Nandroid backup.
will do some more testing now... I should read more about how the modem, csc, code, etc stuff works so I dont do any pointless flashing.
But to make it clear, I did get CM9 on my phone, no problem.
Status 7 error was also solved when I flashed the JVU kernal. So the status 7 error should be there for anyone who flashes SC02BOMKE3.
My next step:
get stock firmware
CF-root it, boot into CWRecovery
check if Status 7 error exists when flashing CM9
IF NO Status 7, flash CM9 and check Simcard
IF Status 7, back to square 1.

CM9 will flash... but the sim card wont detect. But i only tried on the usa firmware... i cant find a SC02B firmware that i can flash CWM and NOT get a status 7 error when i truy to flash CM9.
I will try DK rom next as i lucked out with CM9 for the past few days.
If the process is not the same as CM9 then it may work...
Then again, after a few hours of trian and error, i noticed that when i flash the rom baseband or kernal is changed... so this would screw up any previous firmware that i am on...
Pleas note that i not a dev... i dont make any of these files... i just flash them...
I must look like a total jackass to one of these super nerds here... but hey, let the Guinea pig do his job.

no, i flashed US stuffs, and was able to flash CM9 from CW recovery.
So after reading some stuffs... the Status 7 error is proably from me trying to flash CM9 with firmware (or whatever it is called) that does not match...
same think happened with Dark Knight 5.
So I am at a conclusion that all we can do is hope someone develops a ROM for SC02B or there is something else we can do to get around this...
so for now, we are stuck with kyapas T10 mod3 (not that it is really bad... but no other ROMS)

I would get the NTT docomo boot screen followed by the GTI9000 screen, so we are on teh same page. the CM9 Nightly build works perfectly fine despite the sim card not being detected.
If I knew how to make a CF-root kernal for the SC-02b I would do it... but dont know who to get at to get the stuff needed...
ya i got that weird screen too.. also if you turn your brightness down using zdtools it will give the same effect until you increase the brightness.
that is not a major malfunction, so don't worry about it.

wait for it to finish rebooting, and skip all those steps in the 1st time phone wizard
reboot back into download mode again
close your previous session of Odin
run a new session of Odin
select PDA
select CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVP-v3.7-CWM3RFS.tar
flash it (Start)
it will reboot again
Congratulation! if all went well you should see these in your App drawer screen
to make sure it actually works, go into CWManager, and select ClockworkMod
select reboot into recovery
if all goeswell you should be inside the orange ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.5
Flashing ICS AOSP ROM
if you followed all the above to this point, might as well have fun and load ICS, but first...
in CWR make a Nandroid backup of your stock JVP with KG3 modem
in CWR select backup and restore
select backup in the sub menu, i'll take about a minute or two to complete
it will automatically go back to the main menu in CWR when it's done with the backup
select mounts and storage
select mount USB storage in the sub menu
now copy & paste the ICS ROM to your phone, and optionally the Google Apps, face unlock, etc
select unmount
select +++++Go Back+++++
select wipe data/factory reset
select wipe cache partition
select install zip from sdcard
select choose zip from sdcard
in my case i installed these:
- ICS_4.0.1_r1-Beta2-i9000.zip (AOSP) or teamhacksung_galaxysmtd-ota-eng.BUILD7.zip ("CM9")
- gappsv5.1.zip
optionally you can also install
- face-unlockv5-final.zip
- FuguModICS_GT-I9000_update-Beta2.zip
- bd-ics-bootanimation-flashable.zip
after the flash it will reboot on its own, let it do its ICS magic
Enjoy!

gudluck my friend i hope u can figure it..i will also try another ROMs but i think Cyanogenmod are not compatible for this phone according to CyanogenWiki..did you read about the recovery 3e?.i think that sounds useful..but i didnt tried it yet..gudluck to us..c:
Well the rom is based off some firmware as all ot does is over right some files.
It did mention in the guide above that they keep a specific modem... that and in rom manager there ate several roms to download and flash.
But from my understanding, the japanes model has a one off modem just for the phone and using othe country modles wont work.
as mentioned in the guide above, Canada does not need a different modem file as it will still work.
That all makes sense... so the next step is to find a way to:
A) flash the modem file before flashing CM9
B) flash the modem file after CM9
C) integrate the modem file in CM9 so when
I tried A and B but it failed (i flashed with odin)
C would require knowledge of what a ROM actualy does when you flash it... but going back to the gude, CM9 does not overwrite the modem file when flashing it...
More or less, this would have to be a compatibility issue with the PDA, CSC, PHONE, and .pit file

Hard bricked 7.7

Hi guys
I've just bricked my tab. I flashed ICS to try it then I did a Factory reset and the tab was bricked.
I can access the Download mode, but when I put any firmware into Odin PDA the flashing process get stuck shortly after " NAND Write Start!! " at the beganing of "factoryfs.img" !
Long story short, my tab is totally bricked is there anything I can do ?? Please help me as this tab is imported and I have no warranty.
Thank you very much, really appreciate the community here.

As long as you can access the Download mode, you are not hard bricked, just download the rom that your device came with and install through odin, this will be the only image that your tab will accept.
The problem is, the flashing starts normally and as soon as it starts to write the NAND the progress stops then a big red fail appears after a long time.
Thank you for your reply, I'm so desperate right now.
Can you tell us what model and firmware, etc you used to flash? I think you are the first case
maybe ur firmware is corrupt?try downloading a new one...as long u can acces download mode it is softbrick
Luckily I have a screenshot of the previous firmware

I downloaded lots of firmware an none gets past the factoryFS
Did you do the factory reset while you were on ICS? Did you have CWM or root at all previously and/or after installation of ICS?
Hmmm...Curious. Any flashing program to be tried, other than Odin? If everything else fails, probably the flash ROM chip has gone bad like it did on my Xperia x10. Send it in for warranty, if possible, and tell them.you left it charging.overnight and it didn't wake in the morning...

I had root before on HC but I did a factory reset before installing ICS, then I flased the Austria ICS build. Then I did a factory reset from recovery and boom the tab can't boot nor can it be flashed ! always gets stuck at Writing NAND.

To add insult to the injury, it's imported and I have no warranty. :good:
what you need to do is
You have super brick and not hard brick.what you need to do re partition using .pit file and then flash the room again. I had thus same issue and repartition worked for m e. How it helps
Well, you should contact service support anyway. Samsung generally doesn't care too much if the product was bought in another country...And a friend of had his Brazilian Tab 10.1 repaired in the UK, touchscreen problem, replaced by new unit free of charge... But, try another flashing solution first.

This looks like it is probably the super brick that people experienced on the note. We are luckier than the note because we have a dedicated recovery partition, so you can avoid the super brick by using a different recovery (such as the honeycomb recovery or CWM) and still use stock ICS as your rom.
As long as you don't use the stock ICS recovery for wiping/factory reset, you will be fine.

I guess that's not the case. Odin would overwrite all the partitions, including recovery...So device should act like factory new. However, flashing programs are often troublesome...

why not trying to let the battery run out first?

The initial post said that he did a factory reset, and then used Odin. The super brick is caused by using factory reset/wiping on recovery's built on un-safegarded kernels (the bug is actually in the firmware, but you can work around the bug by disabling a setting in the kernel). My guess is that the stock recovery with the ICS is built on an un-safegarded kernel.
I would seriously recommend that people go read up on the super brick, it affects our many (most?) of the Tab 7.7s out there. If you experience it, you better hope that Samsung support likes you.
I have tried the pit file lots of times, the flashing stops as soon as writing NAND starts.

[BEWARE]Samsung made improvements against reseting flash counter

To start with, I'm flash addict and always trying to flash new roms/firmwares. However after flashing one of the newest samsung firmware i got this little red exlamation mark:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have tried to reset flash counter in a lot of ways but it always stayed at number "1" (After you reset with triangle away latest, opening app again shows 0 flash counter but after reboot it increases to 1). Even if my flash counter was 5, after reset it was staying with 1. Seems that samsung introduced some security improvements against reseting flash counter for galaxy s3.
But one xda member InsteadWoolf published solution to reset flash counter:
1- Reset via Triangle Away
2- Turn off phone and go to download mode.
3- Then flash via odin pc the stock firmware you want.
After this method flash counter is 0. However if you go for custom rom or not stock kernel, that red exlamation mark comes back and flash counter increases to 1.
BIG CREDITS TO InsteadWoolf
So what firmware are you claiming Samsung has hacked as i have yet to see this on any build .

i cant say exactly because didnt notice when i got it but i think with the latest BLH3 one ics. Never had this problem before, was flashing a lot via pc odin and reseting to 0 easily. And before i had even flash counter 5 and there wasnt any red exlamation mark like in the picture.
Thanks for noticing.
But, damn but what greasy screen! You should clean it more often.

Are you sure that has something to do with the flash counter?
Phew......
.....so glad that that **** didn't show up after flashing Jelly Bean over Odin!! :victory:
Something to look out for? What do you guys think?

I had the same issue after flashing a miui rom i had to reset with triangle away and go into download mode straight away without letting the phone boot up then flash full stock ics via odin and it reset. It took me ages to work it out i nearly gave up.

As i have flashed and reset at least 50 times in the last few weeks .
Reset counter with TA.
Flash custom kernel via Odin.
Nothing bar standard rom count of 1.
Run TA still nothing and counter 0 .
I wonder if something else is triggering the red mark .

yes,
here is zip with old sboot.bin (from XXALEF), this is all i can do ATM, you have to unzip it and pack in tar (quick search gave me this link for making tar http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777579)..
and all standard things apply i am not responsible and blah blah if anything goes wrong, flashing bootloader is a sucker and may brick your phone..

Hi, I have same problem as neoom. After flash to LP phone doesn't make any sound at all and the camera is off. I've tried flashing with firmware from Lenny1988 twice but it didn't change anything. I've tried flashing new modem and bootloader - still no sound. Anyone could help?
Use kies tool to upgrade your phone. Go to tools, firmware upgrade and initialization, enter the model number (ex : GT-I9505 with capital letters), then the s/n that you will find on the back sticker behind battery and kies will find and restore the correct csc, will repartition your phone, will wipe all the partitions and will flash the most appropriate firmware for your phone depending on the correct region. Your wifi and camera may not work because toy have a mismatching cp and ap so let the Samsung kies do the job for you remember not to connect the phone while inputting the model number and sn but only when it tells you to connect it in Odin mode.
Kies says GT-I9505 does not support initialization.

The flashing was succesfull right? Odin gave no errors?
Then flash the firmware again only in this case with a pit and re-partition.

Let me be clear - of course i used Kies3, I'm getting the messege of not supported model after entering proper serial number (checked in Settings menu in phone and on the back sticker).
Hmm that's really weird. Then try to start this procedure while phone is connected to kies. I've done this on a i9505 to friend of mine so I know that there is a way to filly restore phone. Otherwise download the official rom from sammobile depending on your country and flash it via Odin.
