Hi Mates,
So finally I have sold my dearest willy to one of my best friend. He was just amazed by the performance from last couple of months and he eagerly give me a proposal to sell the mobile to him and after a long thinking of 2-3 days I have decided to give it to him.
But my friends its very true I was feeling very uneasy while giving it.
So now as I haven't got a very smart price but an affordable resell value just because the making of HTC devices. My phone looks new after a harsh use of 10 months.
Now I am looking for a budget android phone. Suggestions welcome however I have planned to take Zte Blade. Any pros and cons are welcome.
Although this community has taught me a lot of things and I have found a great society over here. I will be in touch of this community because it is my first android user experience community.
Thanks all devs and mates for such a great support and effort to keep the community alive.

On eBay I found it for around 100 GBP (About 150$) It`s a nice 1ghz ARMv7, 5mpx, HD720p mini-monster.

11,500 INR (132 GBP) if you buy it "officially", and 9,500 INR (108 GBP) off dealers at eBay. So pretty similar I guess.

Lol yeah 10000 is a nice budget, unfortunately currency in india does not replicate the great british pound. Look a couple of posts above and youll understand conversion estimate.

Im a little gutted today!! Found out my upgrade is not due until December lol, oh well maybe I'll get the sg6 or htc 3z by that time. Love my wildfire to bits but getting seriously bored and in much need of a more pocket p.c, had an accident at work and managed to severely ruin my screen with grinding steel shards which were red hot resulting in them melting into the screen. Managed to smooth out the screen but its left it with around 1000 pimple looking marks which in certain light just looks uuuugly. Got new screen for £8 on order so gonna attempt a self fix but if i fail then iy looks like an early upgrade charge will be on the cards lol.

Unlucky mate, its quite an easy fix if I remember correctly, the only tricky part is folding the softkeys backlight cable around when clipping it all back together.........
Hope you don't have big clumsy fingers like I do!

Lol yep thats my worry, i had a mates apart the other month but not to the point of having to heat the glue to loosen the screen part, i managed most clip undos etc etc but it wasnt my baby so wasnt as cautious as i will be doing my own...... Paranoid android lol.

yes its Zte blade in india...the preference over wildfire ? tough question but i can only say that it has 600 MHZ processor and adreno 200 GPU and price is about 6k.
So I found it little in my budget...

I am getting a new phone around the 22nd of this month, was thinking about the One X but it's too expensive so I think I'll go for the One S (27 per month, 12 month contract = 324 pounds, cheaper than my brother's Sensation which was 390)

It's grossly overpriced for what it is. There are much better portable laptops for the price/performance, if your needs are fairly modest.

I'm the same as him... looking for a shift at the smallest price as possible.
The shift is the ONLY ONE that I want right now... every laptop is just too bad for me apart the shift.
Why? The shift is like 2 COMPUTERS... you can use both CPU at the same time .. look on internet with windows mobile part using touch screen features.. and use the vista part as a real computer with external desktop and wireless keyboard and mouse !
What the shift brings us is totally umbelievable ! Sure there are many complaints about speed/reactivity but.. HEY .. have you tried the damn EEE PC ? it's totally unusable !
Overpriced? 2 CPU , 2 RAMS, touchscreen , 2 OS ... do you have found something like this on a notebook? if there were any 15"4 with all these feature the price would be around 3000€ or $3000 .. twice more than the Shift.
You just don't realise how it is to bring a big bag all the time ... the shift is not as heavy as a laptop, it's not as large as a laptop... it's an experience of 24/24h computer .. and no laptop bring that !
And you got SMS + 3G + GPS + Phone (soon).
I don't really know why you think this is overpriced...
And what about battery ? My laptop is just able to do 30min of computing... the shift is more about 3hours ! .. and 7 days for navigating on internet ...

the HP 2133 is too big, I think, to carry 24/24h .. impossible to put in a pocket. and the PDA (like HTC Touch, Diamond, ..) have a too small display ... it's hard to have "good" applications with this small display.
yeah .. I have already considered importing from the States... but it's still not cheaper than in Europe ... it always returns to 1200€

Hi guys! I was so in love with the shift, i went to singapore to buy one...i have been looking for a laptop that would suite me for the last 5 yrs or so and finally, the shift arrived...it was the best device for me out there....it cost a fortune but i think its secondary as long as you are happy with what you buy....being happy is priceless brothers!

I will do research on WinMobile and try to find good ways to collaborate between computers, mobile phone, "surface" tables, etc.....
I will work for OUR future.. and I'm so glad to be part of the future of everyone !

heh, the processor in the shift is better than in the hp 2133. the shift is just fine as a plain subnotebook if someone wishes to use it as such. the fact that it has a second processor doesn't mean it makes the x86 any less usable.
i think it is a great device, and not much more pricey than the athena was when it came out!

I just need more powerful machine and larger screen. And SG3 has small amount of RAM. But overclocked CPU was cool.
And DHD has metal-gum housing. I need something unbreakable.
I hope that DHD will have SLCD, AMOLED or something. But there is only TFT LCD.

350 zloty. It's ~90 euro.
I will be getting an SGS2 - bargain at £230 in my opinion
I will still be coming here - and my GT540 still works - so if anyone needs a tester - feel free to contact me.
My SGS2 will be coming in a few days. Probably 20th - after I get my payback
It will come pre-rooted and rom'd - so that is handy

You would be hard pushed to get an S2 for the same price as me.....
But, you might!
I dunno. You could argue the HTC One X - but I heard the S2 is faster. There is the S3 of course. Both of those would be really expensive though

In it's last days the g3 was priced at Rs.9,000 (~150-160$) Now it would be absolutely worthless and I doubt there would be any customer to buy it. I am using it as an autofocus webcam nowadays

I got mine for £80 one year and 2-3 months ago and thats equivalent to €100 (i think). The price has decreased by a LOT because the hardware is outdated and android phones are improving and being released so quickly. Also, it's not oficially sold anymore.

Yes, he has an uart setup.
It's not worthless! I mean, you can do anything with it. Hardware is outdated, but for me that only counts if you want to play HD games or record HQ video.
Perfect phone, GPS navigation, everyday camera, email client, mp3 player, social media stuff, etc. Kudos
As for the price, german Amazon's got it for 190€, a good used one on ebay is 50€ or so. Seems pretty much if I compare to other numbers here...

I live in England but I've been India twice so i'm familiar with the currency conversion and i have to say, whoever is selling that is ripping you off so badly! I got mine 1 year and 2 months ago for less than that! And i got it brand new from a respected retailer that works all over the UK
