Hello everybody, i would like to buy à new phone to replace my old topaz without android's ROM .
I hesitate between new smarthphones as HTc One V , Lumia 710/610 or Sony xperia u/ray and thé old Htc HD2. I like the possibility to have mango+ICS however i would like to know if android's and mango's ROM are fast and stable and if à dualboot not too slow and complicated is. To finish, has thé same performance /capacities as these phones?
Tank you , have a goodday!
*sorry for my english
You can find HD2 for sale in good condition at a great price, WP7 is the fastest OS ever and is keep going to be the perfect OS for the HD2, Im running the latest WP7.5 ROM from Ansar and ICS on the SD card - dual boot without any problems
Great ! Thats what i wanted to heard, hd2 with dualboot ics/tango is fast and stable! Nice because i find really great to use both OS with a low price (in France, a used but in a good state cost around 150€ and i think That i can negotiate to 100/120€) thank you for your quick answer! I Will buy it after summer.
ÉDIT: Can i install 2 roms (ics and tango) ? Or can install ics's ROM and then launch tango with à sd card?
No, you install Tango on the NAND and ICS on the SD card. Bear in mind your SD may not be compatible with MAGLDR (mine unfortunately wasn't) so check that it is first.
Ok thanks a lot guys, you persuade me! If other People Want to give their opinion , they still can do it!
Just use SanDisk cards 8/16/32GB and there will be no problems, this is the best device choice if you want stable developers support and the latest OS stuff
Okay, Nice to have your advices!
try the link below. it might persuade you moar to get the HD2
Thanks à lot! Looks complicated but with your tutorial , i ll success! However, i hâve to wait next september to buy one...

Hi.. i am in a dilemma if i should upgrade my hd2 to Android or not..i am having a lot of troubles with the current rom of win mo 6.5 on my phone.. i have the eu version hd2.
can some 1 help
ur long overdue buddy , its a no-brainer ... but , if you have a fast sd card , u should try a sd card build first
There's an excellent guide HERE if you do decide to go down the Android route.
I say go for it!
Get a Class 10 sd card here in the USA they are 35 USD for a 16 gig Then Dual boot into android, you can put 2.21 or 2.3 if you want I have done also Windows7 on my HD2 This is a very nice versatile phone. After you begin to understand the Android platform then I would look into a new phone.
android is the best thing that has ever happened to my phone. I used to hated it with the stock winmo6.5, but now with android....i cannot live a day without my phone
Go for it straight to nand aswell. I waited until near end of contract to do it but should have much earlier
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App

I'm new to WP7 I'm coming from android off my HTC HD2 and I would like to know whats the best WP7 Rom?
I´m using this one and so far very ligth and stable
BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA WP7 SERIES V4
I read about that rom. Is it activated?
Yes it is the only thing you need is your microsoft code to be 100% funcional
Ok so I downloaded the rom on my hd2. How do I put in the serial Key?
only when you use live services, that´s when it will ask for the code
!!!
The best one is the Xbmod!
Do you know the Direct phone number to microsoft so I can get the key?
I also can't send pictures on BOYPPC WP7 Rom
Can someone please help me with this. Thanks for thee above help

They´re actually all "stable", "fast", and whatnot.
You´ll find some minor differences in graphics and language files, but that´s about it. The reason for this is that all those custom ROMs use the same basis.
Just take one of these from May/June, they´re "NoDo" ROMs, the older ones are the initial WP7 version without "copy/paste".
Can you tell me if is there any stable WP7 version for HTC HD2 ?

hard to say that there is stable version. every developer/cooker has their own `abilities and specialties`...but you need to flash every ROM that available in this wp7 forum, than you you which one is better. my personnel experience is, Pdaimatejam and XBmod are good enough (as you have an original wp7 device itself!)
cheers.
If I read the forums correctly, every ROM is stable, with some minor bugs. Depending on the maker of the ROM its all varies. I am currently running HD2O's ROM and I have had no issues, but you also need a good microSD card if you want to be able to run WP7.
same here, im using the Pdaimatejam rom and its working just fine and fluent
ps: i´ve owned a htc titan before so i can compare it, and the Pdaimatejam rom is working pretty damn good
all is mater of luck... all WP7 ROM's is stable... only problems is related to incompatibility and speed of micro SD cards...
Yes, dxdy says right
I do not think the sound in the earpiece or speakerphone is quiet due to the MC card!
Most of the ROM-s here, issued strange noises or clogged with unnecessary and cumbersome applications, probably because of this and do not go smoothly?
Of course I am grateful for the work of everyone in this forum, I know that because of the above lot of people criticized me!
For me, however, highlights the work of
TIGER ROM | 15 April [v5.0.0 | Stock UI | Very Fast | Fullunlock | OS8773]
It is a pity that interrupted work on the development
I hope I'm able to help with my bad English
Hi Folks,
The pester power from my 8 year old for an iPod is getting to me but being resolutely ABBA (Anything But Bloody Apple) I have unearthed my old unlocked HD2 from the kitchen drawer (where it has lain since I moved onto the Galaxy Note) and am wondering if I can usefully turn it into a SIM-free Android equivalent of an iPod for her to play music, videos, take pictures, play games, surf on wifi etc.
I know that there are a plethora of how-to threads on here and I'm happy to search out the methods myself but as a first step I am seeking advice on:
1) What method to install - NAND (assume this is internal memory) or SD ? Since this will be an Android device going forward I think I probably need NAND but would welcome comments; and
2) Which is proving to be the best, most feature-complete, stable ROM to date. Ideally I'd like to get a Jellybean simulacrum or an ICS clone if JB is still too unstable on the HD2 platform.
Once I've got the recommendations I'm happy, and hopefully competant enough, to searc and follow the comprehensive threads that you kind folks have put together.
Cheerio

It´s very important that you have a fast SD-Card.
In My Opinion DataOnExt ist the fastes Method. The Nexus HD2 ROMs should be very stable and fast. ICS/CM9 should run perfectly, but you should try 4.1 and 4.2 too. 4.3 is too buggy at the Moment...
Also a further step will be unistall apps like phone, message and contacts. If you're pretty good with android you can also unpack the rom and remove completly the telephone option by deleting radio drivers and all that kind of stuff. Good luck for your project
I wouldn't remove the Telepphone stuff... Maybe (I don 't hope so) in somesay she will need to make an Emergency Call...
I used Nexus HD2 4.3 for a few weeks. But Youtube didn't worked and a few other things are a little bit Buggy, but feel free to test ist. I think a 8 year old don't need the changes from 4.2.2 zu 4.3, so you sould defenitly try the NexusHD2 4.2.2 ROM too. At the Moment im on DroidBean wich is Based on an Pixelfreek 4.2.2 ROM and its the fastes JB rom I had so far, I think you should try it too...
You can use some features from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2379490 for apple-android
Hey,
I've got the HTC HD2 phone and want to flash a rom because with windows phone 6.5 I cannot download apps via the app store, since it has been disabled.
I want to flash a very stable rom for daily use. I'm ok with windows phone, but also with android.
Please give me a tip, which rom is really good and stable for daily use?
Thank you very much!
Best rom is NexusHD2-ICS by Tytung. I reach 5 days with the original HTC Expanded battery 2300mha. With the original 2 days. I got that Rom from 2012 and working like a sharm.
