I've recently bought Galaxy Note (N7000). While Charging the phone, I'm unable to receive/pickup any calls? It directly locks out and all it shows is the LOCK SCREEN.
I've browsed the web and this forum for some answer but couldn't find anything.
Could anyone of you help me please?
Thanks.
Shijin
It may be a charger issue I guess.
I had the same problem whenever I charged using Nokia Charger !!
The touch screen does not respond.
May be a faulty earth issue.
Try charging at your friends house or change the charger ....
Thanks Prabhu. I shall check and will revert.
Thanks.

tried :
- car charge
- another cable
- charger via laptop
but, still the same problem.. it just doesn't let me touch the screen...

I'm having an issue when the Focus is charging. In this state, the lock screen will not slide up to give me access to the phone. Typically it will slide up about 1/4" only then comes back down.
Is there a setting for this or is this a feature ;-}
Anyone else having similar issues?
Problem Solved! See post 5.
I am able to unlock my phone while charging. Have you tried rebooting the phone and seeing if the problem persists after that?
Mine if fine and can lock/unlock/use while charging.
I can unlock, but I can't get into the settings menu at all when it's charging. I can do everything else, and get into settings in other ways if they're linked from a program, just not through the main interface while charging. It's very strange.
Problem Solved - Don't buy AT&T ZERO Charger Kit
Hi Everyone,
I found the problem causing my Focus to "pseudo Lock up" when charging.
As I was troubleshooting this problem, I first noticed my focus did not lockup when using a car charger or when plugged into my computer. This led me to consider why it was only happening when plugged into the wall. So, I tried a different charger, the one which came with my Focus, and there was no problem. Then I tried the charger that came with my Tilt 2, working fine there too.
So the problem is with the wall charger I was using. This charger is the AT&T ZERO Charger Kit. At this point, I am not sure if it the problem is with the individual charger or with the ZERO brand. I will be returning this charger tonight and at that time will ask them to allow me to try another one to see if the same problem manifests.
I will report back to let you all know.

I second this! I was using an LG charger with same specs as the charger that came with Focus. It charged it but wouldn't let me use a lot of features of the phone. The stock charger works fine, as I use it at work all day. Another day of streaming from Zune and Last.FM for 6-7 hours!
Do not buy the AT&T ZERO Charging Kit
Hi Everyone,
So I confirmed the AT&T ZERO Charging Kit does not work properly with the Samsung Focus.
I returned the wall charger I purchased and while at the store, we opened another unit and tried it and the problem replicated.
At this point, I do not know if the problem is limited to the Focus or is all Windows Phones. If anyone else has a ZERO wall charger, and a different phone, please let us know your findings.
Do not buy this device to use with a Focus as it is not compatible with the Focus.
Same problem here - AT&T Zero charger and Focus will not unlock when charging. When I take the cable out of the charging brick and plug the cable into a USB port on my computer the phone resumes charging AND unlocks just fine.
The iGo charger that I have works fine no lock screen issues.
On a separate note, my work exchange server mandates the lock screen, but unlike WinMo 6.x you can't set the time interval when the lock screen activates. I had mine at 24 hours of dormancy before it would activate. WP7 only allows you to keep the screen on longer. I hope they add some more options for this. I can't stand having to punch in the four digit code every time I use the phone.
I am using the stock charger and it slides up 1/4 of the way several times then it finally sides up. The touch is then slow to respond, but it eventually works again. Anyone else having this issue? I have tried this charger and an old Tilt 2 charger.
Review of AT&T Zero Charging Kit
There is a review of the AT&T ZERO Charging Kit at:
http://cwmcgowen.wordpress.com/2010/11/28/review-att-zero-charging-kit/
This is the same charging kit that was incompatible with my Samsung Focus.
Does anyone have this isssue, I bought my Samsung i5801 from ebay and I'm very pleased, its a great phone, but when its charging from the wall outlet the touchscreen doesn't work, but if I charge the phone from my computer, it works fine, I've tried loads of ROMs and the problem persists, its probably an hardware issue.
Just want to know if anyone has this issue and if someone has, how to resolve it.
Thx guys...
Please some one, just tell me if you have this problem when charging the phone..
Touchscreen not responding when charging
my old spica has got same problem. So, my charger was not original.
Very Likely, your charger is not original. Fake chargers is do this problem.
Please try charging with USB cable, or change charger.
Greetings friends;
I need of the help you; I have bought this cellphone HTC Tilt 8925 AT&T and fallow the steps to charger the bettery for 8 hours and when I turned on appeared this screen (image attached); tried to connect on PC and directly on outlet power but the problem persisted; I have sent the device to the seller and he told me that replaced the battery and the cellphone worked; 2 days ago received again the cellphone and did the charger but only appear this screen (image attached). I did a video and put on youtube, as I can't to put link in this moment you can see the link on (image attached) please help me.
The seller said this about the video and problem: From what I can see, it is my best guess that the proper voltage/amps are not getting to the phone. The phone took so long to get to you this time, it could be that the battery is drained beyond being charged. For the phone to function properly, the battery must be in, not just the phone plugged in without the battery. At this point, my only other guess is that the charger may not be working properly. Is it possible for you to insert the battery and allow the phone to charge over night in your car with the car charger we supplied? If you do that and it turns out to work, then obviously there is something wrong with the AC charger. You mentioned the USB plug, but I don't know for sure if the phone charges while plugged into USB.
I disagree with him and I answered this: The eletric power it's all or nothing; you can see the cellphone turn on even with the battery or using the outlet or USB from the computer; if the power do not works, the device did not turn on, but the device turn on and only can see that screen, my opinion is that there is a software problem cellphone. I have another HTC cellphone and used this charger that comes with the new cellphone and that you saw on youtube video and my old HTC cellphone turn on perfectly without battery.
I NEED OF HELP OF YOU: THIS PROBLEM IS IT BATTERY OR SOFTWARE OF THE CELLPHONE?? I THINK THAT IS NOT THE BATTERY. ANY SUGGESTION IT'S WELLCOME.
THANKS AND PLEASE HELP ME.
BEST REGARDS
TIAGO

Hi friend, Thanks for your answer I did the change.
Hello again friends!
On my phone, see sig for details, I have noticed whenever I place the phone on my QI Pad, while it does charge, The 'power source' is reported as AC, instead of Wireless. I believe this to be the cause of my problem of at night, when full charge is reached it chimes to confirm full, then drops 1%, so chimes to start again, and repeats.
I tried holding my QI Receiver (After market) to the terminals on my friends S3 I9300 and it showed up as charging Wirelessly, Can anybody tell me what in my phone tells the ROM what the power source is ?
And If they know a fix for what im experiencing. for example, if this is kernel related, any recommended kernels that support 4.3 ? c:
Thanks heaps in advance

I'm using the stock Samsung charger with a third party QI receiver module in my S4. It's correctly identified as a wireless charger when connected, but the problem with intermittent charging at night that you describe still appear. I believe this problem is inherent to the technology. However, I "solved" it by deleting the charger connection sound as well as using Tasker to completely dim the screen at night. This way I'm no longer bothered.

I can turn off the vibrate and sound nd screen on in settings, But I wanted it to identify correctly so I can use Tasker, and Daydream, only when on wireless.. :c
Im thinking it may be Rom specific.. in which case Ill ask my good old friend i've never really had direct contact with Vertigo
Hello guys, I am facing a strange issue with my father's mobile. It's not charging at all. Chargers are ok. Interesting thing is that when I switch off the mobile and plugs the charger in it turns up and shows the charging logo. But it goes from 1 to 0 and turns off and on and same process again. It had only 10% charge left when I got it on my hand, tried to do a reset from recovery menu. But unable to access it before charge runs out. Now I contacted some repair service face to face but different shop is asking different charges like someone asking $4 and someone asking $10. ($ is not my currency, just an example). So can anyone tell me what exactly could be the problem? I don't wanna give my mobile to a bad repairman or to some greedy one.
May as well be an issue with the battery or the charging port. Not too sure which is which, but it's definitely hardware.
I had an issue with mine (same model) not charging too, I simply changed my charging brick because that was the issue for mine.
Hi, any update? I have the same problem.
